Common Questions and Answers about Allegra side effects children

allegra

Avatar m tn I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. Unfortunately I am experiencing maddening itching which I'm controlling with Allegra and extreme fatigue and an all around foggy feeling.
Avatar n tn Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine. Both are quiet safe and any one can be used for which consult your local health care provider. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn t had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
1402935 tn?1281958699 It will reduce the inflammation and thin the mucus, with no side effects. The first couple of days take 1000 mg. For me it works like a charm. In fact I had been on those dangerous inhaled steroids (like symbocort) and the B5 worked much, much better.
Avatar f tn I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?
Avatar f tn He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
180992 tn?1383374057 The trial did list possible side effects as does this new trial , I got so many more side effects than listed on the trial information.Without the help of everyone on this forum I don't think I would have gotten through. Advice given about getting ear plugs for my extreme tinnitus and compression hose for the Petechiae rash to Allegra/Zantac for the hives and so many other tips not mentioned by the Doctors.
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn Have you considered that you might be allergic to something in either the Armour or the Allegra? Fillers in drugs often cause people side effects. Also, if you've been hypo recently, and the long, cold, dry winter has just ended, could it be a secondary skin problem that hasn't been able to heal? I've never heard of antibodies causing any symptoms (doesn't mean they can't), except, of course, destruction of the thyroid.
Avatar m tn Hello, For prostate problems, antihistaminics and decongestants should be best avoided. There are some newer antihistamines on the market that do not cause these side effects on your prostate, including Seldane. This can be taken after prescription. The best way is to reduce exposure to the allergen. To reduce dust mites in your home, remove drapes, feather pillows, upholstered furniture, non-washable comforters and soft toys. Replace carpets with linoleum or wood.
Avatar m tn m not sure if Zofran is used in children but you could ask. Tetrabenzene is used but that has some serious side effects so that might not be for children either. But there are other medications as well. Clonidine in patch form (Catapres) is especially helpful for tic like motions (tardive tourreticism which is a variant of tardive dyskinesia I have as well). I am on Tenex which is helpful as well. I believe both of those are used in children.
Avatar f tn Try taking home remidies like plain water steam, twice a day, it gives awesome results for cold, cough and watery eyes. This is free from any side effects. I do this all the time.
2078979 tn?1332206668 A lot of OTC allergy meds are okay, but you should definitely double-check with your doc. I take Benadryl at night, Allegra during the day, and allergy eyedrops...walking around with red eyes these days, my allergies have definitely kicked in.
Avatar f tn I'm more worried about the hair thinning right now. I've seen posts about people thinking their hair thinning is a result of the medication. The side effects I've found is a long list and hair thinning has been mentioned. I'm scared to death and beginning to panic about it.
1528897 tn?1291833568 You could try different types of allergy medications. Nasal sprays are very effective with few, if any, side effects. Nasal steroids are the most common. There are also nasal antihistamines. You can also purchase an OTC mast cell stabilizer, NasalCrom. It is very effective. Lastly, if nasal drainage is the problem you can try atrovent. Have you tried a variety of oral antihistamines. Zyrtec has very few side effects.
281209 tn?1209385426 I had a TT for papillary carcinoma in 7/07. I had a 30% uptake in my thyroid scan and they gave me 21mCi I-131 to bring down the dose. I just received my second dose (220mCi) last week, and expected nominal side effects. I've felt terrible since then. Loss of taste, overall nausea, etc. Anyone else go through this? My docs didn't mention anything about side effects (besides the normal salivary glands swelling). How long should I expect to feel this way?
Avatar f tn Wow, so sorry to hear about your problems. The side effects vary so greatly from person to person… it’s hard to know in advance how much it will affect you. It shouldn’t prevent you from caring for your children entirely, but it might make things challenging for you. My personal experience with the meds wasn’t too bad; I managed fairly well. Others report having to alter their work schedules and sleep habits, etc.
Avatar n tn http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/guanfacine_ad.htm http://www.depression-guide.com/tenex.htm http://www.drugs.com/mtm/tenex.html I don't see much that would describe your son's behavior here, but if he's taking other meds on top of this one, there could be a reaction.
