I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. Unfortunately I am experiencing maddening itching which I'm controlling with Allegra and extreme fatigue and an all around foggy feeling.

Have you considered that you might be allergic to something in either the Armour or the Allegra? Fillers in drugs often cause people side effects. Also, if you've been hypo recently, and the long, cold, dry winter has just ended, could it be a secondary skin problem that hasn't been able to heal? I've never heard of antibodies causing any symptoms (doesn't mean they can't), except, of course, destruction of the thyroid.

I tried it for a day or two but I could not tolerate the side effects, so stopped. I have had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment with my Dr. I will see him tomorrow. Meanwhile I now have an ever increasing heart rate and other symptoms mentioned in your website. How do I explain all this to my Dr?

Generic is not for everyone. The medication is the same but the base that a generic is put in is not. Levothyroxin had a very adverse affect on me. Tired, dizzy, and then only by what I can call them, brain flashes. I could see lights without having lights on. I knew something was wrong. I do NOT tolerate these tablets as well and have also tried the 10mg capsules with the same effects (less effective more side effects- nausea, dizziness, fat face, racing thoughts, decreased libido, nightmares, sleep disturbances, etc.).. I have called several pharmacies but they all have the blue tablets too -_-... Th side effects persist even after a month on the different pill forms too.. Any options left? Or must I suck it up and take a pill that makes me sick or discontinue usage...

It will reduce the inflammation and thin the mucus, with no side effects. The first couple of days take 1000 mg. For me it works like a charm. In fact I had been on those dangerous inhaled steroids (like symbocort) and the B5 worked much, much better.

I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?

I take melatonin, not nightly, but maybe two or three or four nights a week. I have tried to read up on side effects and have not found much information at all. I don't notice any side effects, myself. Since melatonin is a short-acting drug, and the therapeutic effects of it do not seem to last long at all, I'm thinking that any side effects would not last longer than a few hours or a day or two -- at most -- after you discontinued using it.

My body adjusted to the side effects over time. But what it also did was prevent my body from sweating, and I still feel cold all the time. Also side effects from the medications. Just a guess and a thought...angina can be a side effect of Synthroid (or any other brand or generic levo). Google "synthroid + angina" if you'd like to read up and see if that seems to be what you're experiencing. Do you know your FT3, FT4 and TSH levels? And the FT3 and FT4 reference ranges? If you're slightly overmedicated (as defined by FT3, NOT TSH), it could be causing this.

I've been on a couple of different SSRI's Paxil(generic) and now on Prozaz. I have noticed that my memory doesn't seem to be as good as it use to be. I've always attributed to getting older and having a ton more stress in my life. I've done a lot of research on SSRI side effects and have never seen anything documented about memory loss. Getting off of Paxil (if that's what you decide to do) is very difficult.

m wondering if generics are safe to take long term, will it cause resistance or other side effects?

25mg because my heart beats go up every so often, the last time was 19th March when they went to 160bpm. The side effects are terrible I have felt really depressed, hardly any energy, sick and my eyes have been very sore. Is there a Beta Blocker without all these side effects.

He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?

The trial did list possible side effects as does this new trial , I got so many more side effects than listed on the trial information.Without the help of everyone on this forum I don't think I would have gotten through. Advice given about getting ear plugs for my extreme tinnitus and compression hose for the Petechiae rash to Allegra/Zantac for the hives and so many other tips not mentioned by the Doctors.
