Avatar f tn In mid march i experienced backpain so i went to a doctor and he gave me one injection and one tablet. And then Lockdown happened and on april 1st i noticed bloody semen discharge while masturbating first tym in my lyf. I have consulted an urologist and he gave me some medicines (alfoo, dolo, dutas, doxy) and tests to be done which i took almost 15days, upon my backpain and abdominal pain got reduced.
Avatar m tn This time I went to Urologist. He suspected Prostatitis and asked me to undergo TRUS (Trans-rectal Ultrasonic). The finding was Chronic Inflammation in Prostate region and also calcification in ejaculatory duct. The urologist put me on daily dose of Minocycline Hydrochloride. He also gave me Alfuzosin Hydrochloride (alpha blocker) as a suppliment, but later advised me against it as I started feeling heavy headedness and tiredness. In the meantime, I had intercourse with my wife.
Avatar f tn I finished 3 courses of antibiotics in last two months, levofloxasin, norfloxasin, and Cefixime. Then I showed to a urologist in the last week and he put me on 30 days course of Alfuzosin. Not sure if is the antibiotics or the Alfuzosin that has worked but I am feeling 90% better now but the frequent urination persists. Erection feels uncomfortable and still mild pain at the penis tip sometimes.
1846163 tn?1331048748 I am cures Ty on Vytorin and will be starting therapy soon, I have read that someone on a cholesterol lowering drug should not be on this drug. Can you tell me why?
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with Chlamydia in early June 2015. Upon the first sign of discharge I went to a doctor who gave me a 1000g of Azithromycin and a shot of Rocephin. Two weeks later the physician did a swab test which still showed positive for Chlamydia. A 10 day course of Doxycycline then cleared the Chlamydia. I also had a 9 panel STD test (including Trichomoniasis) done at 3 months, 5 months, and 8 months and all results came back negative.
Avatar n tn One thing that I keep reading is that eliminating caffeine and alcohol really helps men with prostatitis, and it seems to have helped you - at least the alcohol. Cranberry juice is not for everyone lol. I don't know how anyone drinks that without a mix. I'm really glad to hear you are better.
Avatar m tn I am suffering from BPH for the last 4 years and I am taking DUTASTERIDE (AVODART) and Alfuzosin . Unfortunately , these meds do not help much since few months ago. I also about a new procedure named: gat-goren (GG), that sounds as non-pervasive. Did anyone hear about the GG procedure and can share experience or knowledge about that ?
Avatar m tn Most pain during urination and itching went away but still lingering pain in my penis and lymph nodes in groin were throbbing and keeping me awake at night and painful ejaculation. Back to doc got 10 days doxycycline. Ejaculate regular color and lymph nodes stopped throbbing a week or two after finishing doxy. BTW swab came back negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia and also they tried to culture my urine for bacteria but it was negative.
Avatar m tn Hello, Flomax is used for the treatment of BPH and if you are having side effects to this drug then you can use other alpha blockers like doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin or 5 alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride. Effects may take longer to appear than alpha blockers, but they persist for many years. But they are available under prescription and should always be taken under a medical guidance. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn Many patients are wrongly identified as prostatic hyperplasia and chronic prostatitis. Although prostatic hyperplasia is very just like chronic prostatitis during the early stage, they may be two different diseases. What are the symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia and chronic prostatitis? How to distinguish between prostatic hyperplasia and chronic prostatitis?
Avatar n tn I am worried about this prostatitis and if it is transmittable. I care about this girl deeply as a friend and potential long-term partner and do not want to pass it to her (not that I'd want to pass anything on to anyone). And even if it doesn't affect her I worry that she could potential pass it on to another partner. My questions are: Was this caused by chlamydia? Can I transmit this? If so, is a condom effective protection. Can I transmit it via her to someone else? (i.e.
Avatar n tn Trachomatis, U Urealyticum seems to be responsible for a significant proportion of the remainder of cases (20-30%) Without treatment, the disease usually resolves within 1-6 months although asymptomatic infection may persist thereafter. In women, salpingitis, endometritis, and chorioamnionitis can occur. Prostatitis and epididymitis have been associated with U Urealyticum infection in men." -CDC's Redbook.
Avatar m tn Because the number of all people having prostatis AND being at risk of STD is probably quite low (not a majority of people have a risky sex life) this number is actually quite high. I mean if 20% of the population is at risk of STDs that would make the chances of their prostatis being caused by an STD of 1 in 4 and even higher if less than 20% of the population was at risk of STD.
Avatar m tn So I usually used to masturbate around 3 times a day sometimes more for the past 8 and a half years or so, and when I was 16-19 sometimes when I ejaculated I would forget to push all the semen out so it would back up into my bladder and when I went pee the tip would burn and the sperm would come out, and after that one instance of peeing it would go away and wouldn't come back for months and months at a time.
Avatar m tn I was curious about this, and found that some doctors consider stress and tension to be a possible cause of prostatitis, as opposed to bacterial infections (particularly tension that is involuntarily focused on, and carried by, the prostate). The main difference, though, is that this time I have persistent leg, ankle, and foot pain, which is almost incapacitating when I exercise. I assume that it is related, because I've read about leg pain being a common symptom of prostatitis.
Avatar m tn So I have arthritis in lower back, left hip bursitis, tendonitis in the left guteous medius and minimus, I am waiting for a CT .
Avatar f tn and now lymph nodes are enlarged. Since prostatitis is a bacterial infection, is it a possibility that the sore throat and lymph nodes are related to prostatitis?
Avatar n tn The typical symptoms of prostatitis are fever, pelvic, testicle, or rectal pain, frequent and painful urination and ejaculation and incomplete emptying of bladder. In addition to the antibiotics, use medications to help relieve bothersome symptoms, such as alpha blockers to relieve urinary symptoms and anti-inflammatory medications for pain. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn But not because of your current symptoms or past prostatitis. Chlamydia does not cause prostatitis and does not usually cause the sort symptoms you have described. I hope this helps.
