I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.
The prescription drug Fosamax (the generic is alendronate sodium) is a medication which has been prescribed to hundreds of thousands of postmenopausal women to treat osteoporosis and help increase bone mass thereby reducing the chance of spinal or non-spinal fractures. The authors examined the effects of high-dose oral alendronate (40 mg daily) for 6 months on 3 adult patients with intractable headache due to fibrous dysplasia of the skull. Each patient had disease processes not amenable to surgery. The patients underwent clinical follow-up at 1, 3, and 6 months. Their pain levels were documented at each visit by using a visual analog scale. All 3 patients demonstrated a significant decrease in pain levels and became independent of scheduled analgesics.
I am also taking Aromasin for bc. Stopped alendronate (I am osteopenic due to 30 yrs of prednisolone and Arimidex) in case this caused the oesophagitis. Would appreciate your advice.
thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.
The third day that I took .30mg of thyroid tab, I had a severe reaction. The top of my head felt like it was going to explode, Pressure behind my eyes, chills, heart racing and throat swelling. I was lucky I had prednisone to take or I would have ended up in the ER. I haven't went back to my Dr. yet because I am afraid to take any thyroid medication. This was a very scary experience.
simvastatin -40 mg. tab-half tablet
For last few weeks, I find that my BP jumps to 200/90; 0r 190/90 after taking these morning dosages
of medicine. Feel giddy, and have to just sit and take rest. Mostly in evenings feel very tired.
Disturbed sleep in night-
Kindly answer me -whether reducing any of my medicines will help me.
I have osteoporosis-is this a side reaction of these medicines?

Patient was treated with IV methylprednisolene,antibiotics Tab inderal,tab sibelium,Tab clopilet,Tab Epilex chrono was stopped,adviced to go genetic studies to rule ou MELAS and hemiplegic migraine.
After this i did my MELAS test which was normal and undergone "CT ANGIOGRAM OF CIRCLE OF WILLIS AND NECK VESSELS" Impression as ”NORMAL CT ANGIOGRAM OF THE CIRCLE OF WILLIS AND THE NECK VESSELS.and also did “CT SCAN BRAIN PLAIN AND CONTRAST “as suggested by doctor.
3 months ago I had a spinal tab, and to this day I still have a loud roaring in my head and ringing in the left ear. Also I have lots of pain in the neck and is sore where the spinal tab was done. Has anyone had this experience or heard of anyone who had?
I m 29 year old married since last 1.5 yrs .m suffering from pco since last year my periods have been irregularly irregular since start . my gyn asked me to take asmita tab for 6 months now we want to have child Doc has sugested my to tak tab Blong F & Tab Clofert 50 starting 3rd day of period . pls advice me is there any natural way of conceiving. Are there any chances of conceiving twins if I have Clomifene Citrate tab .
