Avatar f tn Im taking Aldara or m GW its been a lil ova a week and it just started burning around my out breaks is this normal like when water hits it something like dat. is this normal should it burn. its like a burning itching feeling. should i call my doctor or is this suppost to happen?
Avatar m tn I have since spoken to 2 doctors plus both Handsfield and Hook and the equivalent expert in the UK - I wont mention his name as he doesn't operate on forums so I feel that would be harsh. All I'll say is if you type "chester sexual health - genital warts always go for good eventually" in to google UK it will point you in the right direction. Anyway the general consensus is, warts do always go - some people need a few treatment cycles, some need only need one.
Avatar f tn I have been successfully using apple cider vinegar to treat external genital warts (after using Aldara with no noticeable improvements). Now I have discovered internal genital warts. Is it safe to use a tampon or cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar to treat them? Also, what are the possible complications of internal genital warts (other than discomfort during intercourse)?
Avatar m tn I was perscribed Aldara Cream for my external warts. I dont feel like they are spreading but I'm really not seeing much improvement with the warts.... Honestly I'm not really sure what to expect........ they have been kind of "trying to" fall off I guess... or peel off.... but I thought they were just supposed to dissappear. But I'm sick of Aldara becuase it makes me itchy and sore and uncomfortable.
Avatar n tn The Doctor therefore told me to try another 4 weeks on the Warticon, again no effect whatsoever. The doctor then prescribed Aldara cream. Again after 4 weeks there was still no change to the warts. I think I then did about a further 12 weeks on the aldara at the request of the doctor, with appointments after every 4 week stint. Again no change. As neither the aldara nor the warticon had worked I then did the cryo (freezing) treatmnent.
Avatar n tn I was unfamiliar with "Posafilin" until your message, but a quick online search suggests it is a UK trade name for an OTC version of podophillum resin, most commonly called podophillin in the US. As you suggest, it is marketed primarily or solely for non-genital warts. I try not to "compete" with health care professionals who actually have examined and counseled a patient. But in this case I agree with you and disagree with the doctor.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with genital warts in May 2007. My dermatologist administered acid treatment and prescribed Aldara cream. Treatment took a long time, but the Aldara seemed to do the trick and the last wart I remember was around Sept 2008. I have been dating my current girlfriend since September 2009.
Avatar n tn Scraping the lesions away (less painful than it sounds), freezing, and sometimes a prescription for imiquimod (Aldara) are standard treatments. If you have ready access to a dermatologist, you can be sure of expert care. Or visit your local health department STD clinic.
Avatar m tn TCA acid, cryotherapy, aldara cream, surgical removal) instead of a powdered drink. Japan is an advanced country, and even if you can't get the cream, there are other successful methods. In the meanwhile, don't cut off the warts yourself. There has to be a doctor there that will treat them in an effective manner. Presence of warts definitely means you're contagious and can transmit HPV. It is safe to assume you are contagious until you have been totally wart free for 6 months or more.
Avatar m tn I've been told to just watch and wait (booked in for an ultra sound and more blood tests next week) but now things are starting to drive me crazy as I can't seem to find any literature regarding multiple flares within an acute period of infection, should I be seeking treatment abroad as there seems to be a negative mist surrounding UK and US treatments on here?
Avatar n tn , scraping off by a health professional, which is less painful than it sounds), electrocautery, or freezing. Imiquimod (Aldara) often works, but is slower than the other methods. 8) There are no OTC remedies that I know of. To repeat the bottom line: I reemphasize that I do not know that you have MC, and that you need to see a health care provider for diagnosis and treatment advice.
Avatar m tn I had a lot better luck with the Aldara when I first burned the warts off with salicylic acid. The Aldara wasn't helping as well before using the acid, especially in certain areas. Yes, it's a bit more pain but it helped me. You could also add Low Dose Naltrexone to your medication. It helps boost the immune system. In your case, I really don't think it would be enough of a benefit on it's own. I tried it with a lot of herbal immune boosters alone and I didn't get any results.

Avatar n tn My last one showed me as having VIN2 which my oncologist/gyno wanted me to use ALDARA Cream for 3 months, I tried it but i couldnt function with all the side effects, So after much reading as much as i could find on HPV and VIN i started taking the supplement DIM, thought it was helping some but now I have the burning back again and am afraid I will have to go in and have another biopsy again. I hate this. How come so many of us never heard of this before.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am in the UK and relate to these symptoms very closely. I train for triathlon and various other sports and suffer with the 'flu like symptom' frequently, often pushing through. I put it down to picking up viral infections but often i have no build up of catarrgh or other common cold/flu symptoms except fatigue, headache and malaise. Please could you specify the dose of probiotic taken - i beleive you can take them by the 4/6/8 billion etc as i am willing to try anything!
