Aldara cream price

Common Questions and Answers about Aldara cream price

Avatar m tn She did use a cream on him that appeared to temporarily work-- imiquimod cream 5% - drug name Aldara. It has 12 single application doses (each the size of a postage stamp). She writes: "Not much in them so it's hard to only use one on an application. It cost $180 more in some other drugstores. I bought two boxes and used for 5 ½ weeks Monday to Friday as the vet said.
Avatar m tn I check online and seem like they have all good reviews. Seem too good to be true. I also heard about Aldara but the price is little bit expensive.
Avatar m tn Well anyways went to planned parenthood here in town and the nurse said it was a genital wart and the red little bumps were other warts that may form or wont form but it doesn't look like anything i saw in pictures for genital warts because it is really thin and flat and not cauliflower shaped. The nurse told me about treatments and recommended and aldara type cream she said it was the best way to boost my immune system. So i went to a urologist and got a second opinion.
Avatar n tn She said that she'll check my BF using the microscope (apply acetic acid first, etc.) then prescribe Aldara cream if found positive. I've done some research thru the internet before and I learned that there is no test for men unlike the hpv DNA for women. My BF and I would like to know if this test is necessary or useful at all? Also, is it futile because we've been having sex for a year now. Is there really a chance that we can keep re-infecting each other?
Avatar n tn The cost of a physician visit, such as to a dermatologist, and the costs of the prescription drugs for genital warts--podofilox (Condylox) or imiquimod (Aldara)--can be high, but vary all over the map from one city to another and among pharmacies. You will get better information than my guess by calling a local dermatologist and a few pharmacies in your area. But my guess is the total cost is way under the one-month insurance premium you cite.
Avatar n tn My latest consideration is simply using I believe it was Apple Cider Vinegar, but I need to look into it more. Supposedly a lot of people claim it works even better than aldara (which costs an arm and three legs!). But I don't know anything about cryotherapy (as far as cost goes) and I'm having a hard time finding out without calling Planned Parenthood (and I can only call on Saturdays because of conflicting schedules, which I simply haven't gotten around to yet). Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Veregen, like traditional salve cream, attack abnormal, inconspicious abnormal cells. A reaction occurs when the cream is applied to abnormal skin/cells, and the abnormal cells rot or die, and skin erosion is resulted ie only in the abnormal affected areas I mixed the egcg with diclofenac cream and rotate with nimesulide cream (genital areas). To my horror, i actually see the warts 'surfacing'. Initially my groin and right side of the scrotum were completely normal.
Avatar m tn Antiviral activity has been demonstrated against a variety of viruses, and clinical efficacy has been demonstrated against genital warts, herpes genitalis and molluscum contagiosum. Imiquimod is administered as a 5% cream (Aldara) and has been licensed for the treatment of anogenital warts in immunocompetent patients. Complete clearance of warts has been observed in up to half of treated patients with only local side effects reported.
1655600 tn?1302165828 I did acid treatments once a week for four weeks and that really did a lot to get rid of mine. The Aldara is a cream that you put on, it's much slower, at least for me but then I only have two warts at this time. As far as I can tell, everything looks so much the same down there! lol When and if you do start Aldara let me know and I will give you the tips I found out on my own for using it. :) I am happy your doc confirmed our info and appreciated you having educated yourself!
Avatar f tn I was also diagnosed with warts my doc gave me imiquimod cream i got too rough with it I applied the cream all over my vigina lips n it irritated me really bad ....I stopped using it n when i went to the doc she told me i was using it wrong... i am really stressed coz every bump on my body looks wart to me i have broke up with the guy i was dating i was virgin when i met him but i hate the fact that i am Part of all stds n stuff ...
Avatar n tn I went to the dermatologist twice with no remedies to cure my flat warts. All he did was prescribed Retrieve and aldara cream which didn't work. I did many research online and didn't really find anything that worked. Tried Thuja cream but that's hopeless. In Sydney, there's no Thuja tablets because it's not available in retail stores. I don't think this is safe if it's not recommended to be sold in stores. Anyways, I managed to go to my last resort, which was drink chinese herbal medicine.
Avatar m tn I recommend driving different combinations until you find something that works. Imiquimod (Aldara) is a topical immune response cream, applied to the affected area. It causes less local irritation than podofilox but may cause fungal infections (11% in package insert) and flu-like symptoms (less than 5% disclosed in package insert).
Avatar m tn I have cut on it and the inside is hard so I need a better numbing cream for while I am doing it and after. I am also looking for the root cause in the problem see attachment. At this time am not looking to have the whole sack removed just to release imflammation from cyst and preventative from it from reoccuring. Right now seeking over the counter medication or online that accepts paypal.
Avatar f tn ) It is used for cancer in higher doses, and as a cream called Aldara.. Also used to treat HPV, they know the sides.. No company especially as big as Gilead would go into clinical trials if there were major safety concerns. Stef2011 here takes it in a much higher doses and without making a big deal. I guess he is the real researcher on here. The guy stopped his cirrhosis. How many doctors say they did that?
Avatar n tn a few ladies are saying this is a type of yeast infection and while many have ruled it out because they don't have the typical symptoms, they have tried anti-fungal steroid cream or anti-yeast cream and have had success getting their cuts, itchiness, or whatever to go away and stay away. all the other ladies are also saying their doctors don't have a clue. they are otherwise healthy women. one lady suggested swabbing the area with rubbing alcohol (it worked for her). ouch! no thanks!
