I bought a bottle of Patanol eye drops about a month and three weeks ago, I found the box a couple days ago and noticed on the box that it says discard thirty days after opening... The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....
I consulted doctor he told I don’t have eye sight and he given “Tears Naturale, lubricant eye drops, Alcon” (Hypromellose, Ophthalmic solution ). But still I am facing same problem please advice me.

The only change I have made in my life style is to take Patanol eye drops for allergy eyes. I have been using them once daily for 4 months. Could it be that this antihistamine can be causing this increase in my blood pressure? I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I had pink eye about 4 weeks ago and was given eye drops to use Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP. Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
My doctor told me to use Patanol and Xiloial together. But she said İ should use one of them first, then apply the other. Cuz one of them is gel or whatever. But now i cant remember which one she said that İ should use first. Can you please help me?

Last night, after reading so much information here, I happened to remember I had a bottle of Patanol in the medicine cabinet and I used it. I may be guilty of wishful thinking but it seemed like my eye felt dramatically better.
I used the Patanol again this morning and so far so good.
Does anyone have any hints or ideas about how to cope with the awkward days in between having the first eye done and the second eye done? I am very nearsighted and my glasses are quite thick. My doc said that she would hope to do the eyes only one week apart, if all goes well with the first eye, to minimize the uncomfortable days. I mentioned taking out the lens on my glasses of the eye which had been fixed, and she didn't think I would be very happy with that solution.
You could try as wet warm compress on your eye or try rinsing with saline solution, the cold could have gone into your eye..

I am so depressed about my cataract surgery in November 28th of 2012. I now cannot see far or near and the worst thing I now see ghost images. My eye doctor has put me on Pilocarpine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution twice a day for two week's then come back in for another check up. She said it is because I have a lot of astigmatism in my right eye and it often affect's the outcome of surgery. Do I have to live with this problem for the rest of my life?
I am considering an Alcon toric for the left eye. Otherwise, it will be the Alcon aspheric. I expect to wear glasses. Cost isn't a consideration.
I'm trying to determine what target to set. The surgeon suggests plano, but I'm thinking something between -.75 to -1.5. (I'll want plano in the right, dominant, eye at a later date.) It would help to know the following:

I am currently experiencing exactly what the photo shows. A puffiness in the corner of both eyes. It's probably seasonal allergies, but this is the first time I am getting this. I tried cool and also hot compresses with a washcloth. I put in eye drops (Azelastin hydrocloride) Ophthalmic solution. It's a little better but still there. I think I will try a to take some benadryl if it doesn't get better soon. I may have to seek professional help.

My eyes become itchy and watery. I have used patanol in the past but the eye Dr is now recommending patasol which is very expensive. I want to try Zyrtec d instead of Zyrtec which gives me some releif. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
I noticed that sight still seemed brighter in one eye about 3 weeks after surgery. Checked the IOL cards and had an Alcon blue filter lense in first eye and a clear Tecnis lense in the other. Both have UV protection. There is some glare in bright sunlight but sight generally is good. Brightness merges when looking through both eyes.I've ordered reactolite spectacles to hopefully remedy this. Never usually wear tinted lenses.
Will there be any long term problems with this combination.
