Avatar m tn No,No alcohol poisoning!if u had that u probably wouldn't be here now or still be feeling the very ill effects of that!If after a week you are still feeling the effects of a drunk, that was SOME drunk u tied on!
Avatar m tn Why would you do this to yourself? You must have been so sloppy drunk that everyone just saw it as sad. It's not cool to be that person. You easily could not be here right now. It's time for a break or maybe even time to quit. It's likely that you are very dehydrated. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water to flush the toxins from your body, Gatorade is best for replacing the electrolytes. You will be fine. Think of it as getting lucky this time.
Avatar m tn Sounds like a bad reaction with another drug you had in your system at the time. 6 oz of beer is not enough to do anything. You symptoms are indicative of another problem and you should see a medical professional.
Avatar m tn Once per year or so I get this condition, usually THE DAY AFTER drinking too much, sometimes it does not start until the night of the day after or even two days after (so maybe its something else?) These 'episodes' vary from light to bad. These are my symptoms: 1) extreme nausea where I can't breathe properly, or I feel I have to ventilate to breathe. This is usually on the first day or two of the episode, depending if its a light or bad episode.
Avatar n tn My friend died of alcohol poisoning with a BAC of 0.70 does this not seem extremely high, is this possible?
Avatar m tn itz 8%beer
Avatar m tn ) Monday - Normal bowel movement - no blood Tuesday - Diarrhea I have no other symptoms Is it normal that possibly the alcohol is causing this? It never seems to happen the day after drinking, as much as a day or two later and never more once then a day. Possibly dehydrated?
Avatar f tn I drank one of his alcoholic beverages. It has been a year since I drank it. The drink he made contains %40-45 of alcohol and I drank approximately 400-500 ml of it. I didn't feel bad that night except being drunk. I slept well and even though I have headache too often, I didn't even suffer from headache that day. The thing that I am worried about, is it possible that the alcohol I drank can be methanol and I survived it?
Avatar m tn hi. it would depend on how fast it was consumed and how well her body metabolizes the alcohol. a persons tolerance can increase through repeated abuses, but in general that type of drinking indicates an increased potential risk of developing full blown alcoholism in addition to acute alcohol poisoning. to answer your question, yes, that could be at worst fatal, and at best a prelude to disaster.
Avatar n tn Even a possibility to alcohol poisoning! Not worth taking the risk again by drinking alcohol for any reason (: Best wishes.
Avatar n tn 1) reach a level where the rate of alcohol elimination (and its effect on the respiratory system) far outpaces the time required (so to speak) for brain damage to occur at any particular BAC level (also realize that at high BAC levels, elimination is non-linear due to the action of enzymes not usually involved in the process with elimination rates around -.
Avatar f tn Its very dangerous to do, hopefully you can stop drinking to such a high degree or quit. Talk to your doctor about alcohol poisoning and he can confirm this. Doctor could also get your toxicity checked in your liver, hopefully your liver is still healthy. Please take this seriously before it's too late.
Avatar f tn Drinking that much alcohol isn't good for anyone especially someone so young. You have the right idea about staying hydrated. Drink as much water as possible and flush those toxins out of your body. 3 days does seem to be a bit much for a hangover but YES heat can DEFINITLY affect you adversely! How hot is it where you are? Is it a major climate change for you?
Avatar m tn Hello, It is usually not the alcohol that produces the allergic reaction to the wine or beer. The other ingredients in the alcohol, such as yeast, sulfur dioxide, and additives are often the culprits. Beer may contain a variety of ingredients, including barley, corn, wheat, and rye that may precipitate an allergic reaction.Similarly wines contain sulfites which may be the allergen to some individuals.
Avatar n tn A gallon a day is pure poison for sure, especially to the liver. The person doing the moonshine drinking isn't long for this world.
Avatar n tn Thanks! Going to do "vodka" sodas with lime since it's clear and hope no one will pay attention to me and be focused on the fun events. The last day I'm going to be the driver so have that excuse since it's a holiday weekend and need to be extra focused :) nausea is starting these last 2 days so the soda water has been a life saver.
Avatar n tn t get all of what she said, but I understood that I had been diagnosed with acute alcohol intoxication (alcohol poisoning), that I spent the night in a vodka-induced coma and that I could've died. I think she said my blood alcohol content was 500 or .50. They kept me under observation all afternoon, tested my urine, and I had to call my parents to pick me up. After that, I had the most awful hangover for a week.
Avatar f tn Hi Dear Alcohol is a potent depressant of the central nervous system (brain in particular) and activates the inhibitory neurotransmitters in the brain. The acute effects of alcohol depend on the concentration of alcohol in the blood (directly correlated with the amount and time of drinking). Initially, alcohol generally produces feelings of relaxation and cheerfulness, but further consumption can lead to blurred vision and coordination problems.
Avatar f tn She also was on anti-depressants and the doctors told her they enhance the level of alcohol in the body after drinking. It scared enough to realize her life is more important then being a social drinker. You may feel more depressed, your alertness may be impaired. Don't stop taking an anti-depressant or other medication just so that you can drink.
Avatar m tn When you have a drink again, stick to safe limits, you can find the safe alcohol limit to drink on the web. But even the safe limit of alcohol may be too much for you, so listen to your body too. Also do not mix your drinks, this will make you feel very ill too. I feel drunk after one small glass of wine even when I have it with a meal. And like the previous poster says, eat something first before you consume alcohol and drink plenty of water. Alcohol dehydrates the body.
Avatar n tn I'm 28 and have been a social drinker of alcohol since the age of 17. I have always had pain in my stomach after a day of drinking. For the past 2 yrs my pain has become worse. Now I only drink 1 to 2 glasses of wine every few days with dinner. I had a ulcer when I was 16yrs old, which has since been cured. Every time that I have 3 or more drinks I react the next day as if I had food poisoning/stomach flu. I have extreme nausea, in addition to diarrea, dizziness, and constant vomiting.
Avatar f tn No, but I have gotten rashes from wearing cheap lipstick or lipliner and sometimes I get on after staying in a hotel. Those disappear in a day or two without a huge scab live I have now.
Avatar m tn Could it be reaction of the papillae to drugs or food poisoning. I noticed it when I checked my tongue for the tingling and sensational feeling and numbness I have due to fish poisoning. Grateful if you could help again.
