Avatar n tn Crestor is to control cholesterol, have more offen side effects but doses of 10 mg are the lowest , and side effects can be abdominal pain (not chest). 1236243 tn?1277680851 is having noticable adverse side-effects. Rumor monger statements and posts like this one are more scary than it actually should be. One step below crying fire in a crowded theatre. Moreover, it always seems to be a person told me, or it's about someone else. Could this post have been made by a competitor's detail rep? Yes, was it - who will ever know.

Avatar f tn I am free of HCV but I too have long term side effects. It startedwith pain in joints and fatigue. After a couple of years I could no longer work due to what I later found out was multiple chemical sensitivities. They were severe. I stayed home for over 10 years and completely eliminated fragrances and other products with VOCs from my life. Slowly over years of avoidance I felt like I was getting better. (I was turned down for Sadi and humiliated).
Avatar n tn This is called corneal edema and is due to shock waves coming off the phaco handpiece hitting the corneal endothelium. It can also be caused by chunks of the cataract bumping into the cornea. It is more common with dense, hard cataracts requiring a lot of phaco energy or more phaco power. It is also more common in people with unhealthy corneas which is sometimes the case in much older eyes with dense cataracts.
Avatar m tn Hi everybody, Would anyone be so kind to share his/her knowledge on how the side effects of topical corticosteroids, namely that of swelling/edema in subcutaneous tissue, as well as dilation of superficial blood vessels(capillaries), develop. I have developed these side effects from usage of two different corticosteroids for different skin problems.
Avatar f tn I had my first experience with Solu-Medrol infusion in early August. My relapse had just started and was worsening daily-right before I was due to start training for my new job! The immediate side-effects were quite obvious and well documented. I'm having less success finding out about long-term side-effects-in particular, rapid weight gain. I noticed the bloating quite early in my treatment, especially in my face and abdomen.
Avatar f tn No it sounds like you are either have a bad side effect from gabapentin or are allergic to it. I took 1200mg a day for several months and had no side effects other than being tired and memory problems. I haven't taken baclofen, so i don't know the side effect of that drug. Usually, muscle relaxers don't give you that bad of a headache. You may want to try Flexeril or another muscle relaxer.
1108194 tn?1378424522 My mother just had her 1st shot of Lucentis. She has a small leak. She is also on Glaucoma eye drops. She is experiencing extreme fatigue and she said her thoughts/memory seem fuzzy. How long do these side effects last? My mother is a small person who doesn't take any other medications except for the eyes. She works out everyday. She isn't up to that either. Does she have to get these every 4 weeks or can they space them out more or lesser dose?
Avatar f tn Hi, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and long term pred use. It really is a nasty drug. I have also had problems with swelling at the end or after coming off the stuff. I have talked with several other people who have had the bloathing last over a month after stopping the medicine. I have found that drinking LOTS of water is helpful. I hope your side effects go away quickly. God bless.
Avatar n tn Hi there. The common side effects of neurontin are blurred vision, dizziness, and muscle ache, swelling of hands, feet, or lower legs, trembling and unusual tiredness. Lyrica is also known to cause general weakness, lethargy, blurred vision, ascites, facial edema, generalized edema etc. You must consult your neurologist to change your medications since both of these can cause swelling and you have swelling in both the legs.

923105 tn?1341827649 I know chronic constipation is a problem you want relief from, but consistently high blood sugars can have longterm effects. Another option would be for your doctor to consider putting you on diabetes meds.
Avatar f tn Are there any diabetics taking treatment? One of side effects is elevated blood sugar . Can someone help!
653169 tn?1303446369 I do know that all to often things like this are not listed as side effects. The problem is that the doctors and or patients do not report them and so they too often get looked over as is the case here. I am sure there are many documented cases they just are not reported. I am not sure what the protocol is far as doctors reporting side effects but we as Pt's can call the pharmaceutical company and report effects. this will help many.
Avatar f tn No, I mean since my eyes are not healthy to begin with, could the surgery be the source of my edema? Also, I am taking both Diamox orally 500 mg, and Nevanac. I am experiencing a number of side effects. Is there a replacement drug available? I am scheduled to see my Retinologists mid Sept, so I will ask these questions also, just interested in another opinion. If the edema is not a result of surgery, what other causes could there be? I do not have diabetes.
Avatar f tn I took Actos and within a week started having stomach and left side pains. I stopped actos and 75% of the symptoms are gone but I did see my doctor who ordered a CT scan which was normal. My labs have all been normal except I did show 21% atypical lymphs. Mono test was negative and so was H pylori blood test. I suspect the Actos started my problems. I felt bloated and full, pain in one specific area on left side, stomach stopped growling, etc.
Avatar f tn Even when I discussed it with my surgeon almost 14 days ago when he took those contact lenses out of my eyes, he carelessly told me that eyelid problems are not among the side effects... Now that I anxiously search the internet I found out that ptosis and eyelid edema are among the rare side effects, there are similar reports and there might be no cure for it. P.S. The only medications I use are artificial tears and Flourometholone ophtalmic suspension 0.
Avatar n tn Is it best to take actos in the morning or evening? I am on metformin and glipized, as well. Is it best to take actos along with these medications to be more effective? This discussion is related to Best time to take meds.

Avatar n tn When I took Verapamil (a CCB), the side effects were so terrible that within 5 days I ended up in ER. They stopped the med. Now I take Diltiazem (also a CCB) and it's not nearly so bad. The first couple weeks I had some dizziness and whopper headaches. Now I'm left with a bit of brain fog and fatigue; I don't have the pep I had before but it does help the tachycardia and chest pain.
Avatar m tn He is also on procrit and I have read that edema is a possible side effect (though his hematologist says it is not). Has anyone experienced swelling and do you know the underlying cause? Thanks, it's great to have this forum to turn to with questions about the neverending side effects.
Avatar f tn Hi all, My hubby was dx'ed 2 weeks ago w/ diabetes II. His regular doc put him on 30 mg Actos daily. At 1st hubby's blood sugar was a whopping 390- now it's down to 76-90 in the am and no more than 180 even after lots of sugary food. Obviously the blood sugar is well under control now. The problem is, my husband's vision is going crazy! I know that diabetes can cause vision problems when blood sugar is high, but the way it's happening doesn't make sense.
