18567943 tn?1465908501 ve read that is remotely close to this experience is the oh-so-rare Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, but I have a hard time believing this is what that is. There are similarities, yes, but not enough to fully convince me. I do suffer from OCD and Anxiety, which have been noted as links or triggers to the syndrome. If it's not Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, what is it?
Avatar f tn Baby shower is tomorrow! I'm also having a girl. We're doing an Alice in wonderland mad hatter tea party theme. I know everything is pink and guest's are getting tea cups with flowers growing in them as the thank you for coming gift. But i don't know about games, a lot is a surprise! Tomorrow has 50 people and then I have a second one in July that I don't know the details about. My husband has HUGE family and this is the first grandbaby.

7678269 tn?1397862382 3 havent thought of a nursery theme though :(
Avatar f tn m still trying to figure out what I was going to do for my girls room.
Avatar m tn Quick, if you google Alice in Wonderland syndrome you'll find it covers a lot of visual disturbances, usually occurring at night. I don't know why I had brain blip and said Alison Wonderland, thinking before typing. Anyway, I think you should look in to it - it's thought that's what the true little Alice had, had made her think she was tiny and everything around her was huge and she could slip through a rabbit hole.
Avatar f tn There's a possibility that it could be Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, although I've not heard of somebody getting it every day. You might want to get your eyes checked, just to be on the safe side, as your prescription might have changed and that's what is causing it.
382218 tn?1341181487 As I straightened up and turned around all in one swift motion, I suddenly had a sensation I can only describe as being like Alice in Wonderland. For a split second it seemed like the room had doubled in size and was curving around me, and I felt off balance. I recovered immediately. This was preceded by eye pain in my R eye (it was the L eye I had ON in back in Dec), which started earlier in the day. This was not nearly as bad as the episode of ON, and no foggy vision.
Avatar f tn ) mahbe you could do a princess theme or a theme based off one of your favorite movies??
Avatar f tn If I was having a girl I was going to name her Alice :) an I was going to do the theme Alice in wonderland :D but I'm having a boy lol :)))..
Avatar f tn A neurologist asked me that one time because a lot of migrane sufferers and temporal lobe people with seizures sometimes experience distortions in size or a feeling that everything is in fast forward. Look up Alice in Wonderland Syndrome on the internet if you or any one in your extended family suffers from migranes.
Avatar f tn -) Any comments would be very much appreciated.
1493284 tn?1294875712 It was very Alice and Wonderland. I knew what I was seeing was an optical illusion of some sort, but the weird thing was I didn't just "snap out of it." It just kept going as I tried to make sense of it until finally I leaned close to tuck the covers around her shoulders. Anybody ever had anything like this? Thanks!
1056589 tn?1273747102 We watched Sherlock Holmes this past weekend and really enjoyed it. Love Robert Downing Junior! Am very anxious to see Alice in Wonderland when I get a chance.
Avatar f tn i also read a book i have called bedtime stories, it has all the stories in it, from pinnocio, to cinderella, also read Walt Disney books, and stories like alice in wonderland, wizard of oz. I have lots of books. This will be my second child, with my first i read to her all the time while I was pregnant and even after. She is now 11yrs old, she loves to read, and she has always read above her grade level. On top of that she is very smart. Straight A student.
Avatar f tn Tell your MIL to shut her pie hole! LOL I am only 10 weeks and have no idea what my nursery will be. If its a girl I'd like Alice in Wonderland however if its a boy (which is what we're hoping for),I'm svrewed because I hate blue overload, and I hate the neutral with safari animals, I really have no clue what I'm going to do.
Avatar f tn I lost alot, when I started tx I had should lenght hair, as it started falling out I just cut very short and would use gel to spike it up. It didnt look to horrible. On weekends when I was not working, I wore bandanas and I would cover my scalp in cholestrol treatment so my scalp would stop itching. I never tried the Nioxin so I dont know how that works. I am post tx about six weeks and its growing like weeds!!!! Best of luck!
Avatar f tn Yes another good example is "the mad hatter" in Alice in Wonderland. Although it was made light of at the time the reason people in the trade that cured felt for hats with mercury developed neurological disorders that caused shaking and agitation was because they were exposed to mercury. Naturally, after all of this was known there were regulations created against occupational hazards in most industrialized countries.
