About twenty years ago I was treated with a prescription cortisone cream for an allergic reaction on my cheeks. I continued to use it nightly for a couple of years even though the rash resolved in about a month. It just made my cheeks feel really good. My dermatologist told me it could cause thinning of my skin so I stopped.
A couple of months ago I woke up to fing a pock mark on my cheek. I never had acne or any infection in that spot.
Daughter wants to get a chemical peel for some acne scarring on her facial cheeks. She has been on antibiotics (too harsh on stomach), antibiotic topical cream, retin-A, you name it over the years. I just got back from the Derm today and he reviewed my skin and he said that my acne redness is scarring.. Now i thought scarring is indentions in the skin? Is it not and that acne redness will fade with time because according to my derm he said that my acne redness is scarring and that the redness wont go away and that theres nothing that can be done about it. He said that i'll have to live with it for the rest of my life and that the only possible treatment for this is laser.

hello just to let you know about my acne and acne scarring ! im over the moon i started getting micro dermabrasion and also using duac once daily cream and i havent had any breakouts and my skin is so smooth and only ever get one spot with pmt and periods im so happy because ive never had clear skin since i was like 11 !
t deep or anything they just make the skin look red like scars from mild acne. The splitting of the skin has pretty much healed up completely but the scars are still there. Theres an annoying blister on there too. My question is: is it possible to get any laster treatment or or pulsed light or dermabrasion or anything on my penis to help with the scarring? A pamphlet for Palomar pulsed light says it can be performed anywhere on the body except around the eyes.

This could be warts. There is no single treatment for warts that is 100% effective and different types of treatment may be combined.
You should consult a skin specialist for the symptoms. If these are plane warts - she would benefit by using salicylic acid cream, cryotherapy, curettage and light cautery.
If these are filiform warts - cryotherapy or curettage and light cautery would help.
Does anyone know about the scarring after-effects of accutane? I've read several reports of scarring left after it's use. Fusidic acid and minocycline are both antibiotics which are used for the treatment of acne. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.

It would be unusual to get acne on your arms, this is more likely to be keratosis pilaris rubra. However, Retin-a is also effective for this condition.

Recently i heard that toothpaste works as a great acne cream. All excited i rushed to put some on the few pimples that I had and had decided to use it as a facial mask on the areas around my nose.
