Avatar m tn 32 and FT4 24) and all symptoms were attributed to thyroid problem. The thyroid is back to normal now without any thyroid meds. In the past 8 months, I have been on Wellbutrin (300 mg per day for 3 weeks), Lorazepam (3 mg per day for 3 months) and propranolol (40 mg per day irregularly for 1 month). While I was taking all these meds, most symptoms disappeared. I stopped taking all medication "cold turkey" two months ago.
Avatar m tn I know this is more common with the oral/IV Cipro but I may have used the CiproDex for longer duration that was prescribed. I really believe that I was misdiagnosed with anxiety and hyperthyroidism and a borderline hyperthyroid threw everyone off. Can I have Cipro-induced sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy? If yes, with the current symptoms and their long duration, is my neuropathy reversible? Is there anything that I can do?
Avatar f tn I just had tubes put in both ears 6 days ago. I got the flu and had both ears infected. The pressure and pain is gone, but now I'm talks by ina tunnel and my hearing is diminished. I think I'm draining, because when I use my ciprodex drops...I swear I taste it in the back of my throat. How lucky big is this gonna last? Will my hearing go back to normal? Will the tunnel in my head stop?
Avatar f tn Hello I read an article from a woman following retinal detachment surgery and her eye was still dilated after 2 weeks and finally returned to normal shortly thereafter. I really don't think there is anything that counteracts the atropine that the doctor can give her anyway.
Avatar f tn No, wash your face and eyelids. Get some artificial tears (lubricants) and use every 30 minutes for about 2 hours. If your eye feels fine that is all you need to do. If the eye is very irritated, you can buy eye wash/eye irrigation fluid and put directly on eye to wash out any residual oil.
Avatar n tn I was accidentally elbowed in the eye about one and half weeks ago. There was no swelling , redness of the eye or pain, just a soreness. Went to see an optometrist after 4 days as the front of the eye was tender when blinking. Also, the upper cheek was slightly numb.

Extremely similar to "strokes" of 2001, still nothing on CT sacn or MRI of the brain. In the ER my BP was 70/53. Tingling, facial spasms, dx with "mental status change/ cognitive decline.
Avatar n tn If the vet said you should use it then yes, but even when you apply it in the ear it's absorbed and reachs the blood. I'd say wait and ask the vet, maybe just one drop has more drug that your dog can take...just call him on the phone and ask, it's better than spending more money if it happens to be bad for the dog!
Avatar f tn I was working at the deli cooking some bacon, when I got the full case of bacon off the fridge the box accidentally slipped off my hands and some bacon juice splashed in my eye am I at risk for infection? Also about 1 hour later I was in the bathroom and some toilet water ended up splashing in my eye I immediately shut my eyes and washed it. Was that a risk too? What a unluckky day at work.
Avatar f tn I was accidentally hit by my toddler with a paper edge and eye was bruised two months back and I had blurred vision and watery eyes for almost two days although after the incident I rinsed my eye with strrile water and put eyedrops in it which helped heal it. I have not been to any eye doctor since then as I lost my job around that time. I had been noticing increased floaters in my eyes and a black dot in vision of the right eye since then.
Avatar m tn If the eye is still red, watery, uncomfortable or blurry he needs to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist today.
Avatar m tn I applied the drops twice a day, but whenever I put the drops in, there was this weird crackling noise that occurred while I was laying on my side. My symptoms did not improve so I went back. The second time I saw the doc I actually had some new symptoms. I was having daily headaches just above my right ear (I think my temple). It's not necessarily painful but it feels like there is a lot of pressure in my head.
Avatar f tn It triggers about 60% of the time when I put my index finger in my ear. When I take my finger out of the ear I can hear this scratching sound. I can also trigger this about 80% of the time by scratching the right side of my face (from the end of my right eye to my ear), which is very annoying because this happens accidentally. My GP says it is eustachian tube dysfunction which I know it's not and I've been on the ENT waiting list for what feels like forever.
Avatar f tn Today I woke up and my eye is very sore - a lot sorer than it was the days before this - and hurts quite a lot when I blink or put pressure on the eye. I looked this up and found that it might be a blocked tear duct, but the only thing is, my eyes are not excessively watery at all, they are just like normal. The pain is in the inner right corner of my eye on the lower lashline. What could this be? Should I see my doctor? And are there any pain relievers for this? (Putting hot pad on eye, etc)?
Avatar f tn Three days ago, exactly, my 3 year old accidentally punched me right in the left eye (pushing the eyeball). It was a substantial impact. I'm still in pain - it basically feels like my eyeball aches and throbs (just a little throbbing). I did see my ophthalmologist and my exam was totally normal. SO - is it normal for my eye to ache for this long after the incident, and what's the approximate timeline for when it will go away?
Avatar m tn Thank you. Since he was acting normal, I took him to the vet the next morning. His eye was pretty much open all the way by that point. Everything's checked out ok. The vet didn't think there was a need for x-rays based on his exam and my dog's behavior. He had some inflammation in his eye, which I think he already had from allergies and he told us to use Neo Poly Dex drops for that. His eye looks fine now. I think I probably got him primarily in the cheek.
Avatar f tn What damage may cause If some dactador steroid cream rubs accidentally in eyes(I was asleep - no symptoms)

19346220 tn?1476145302 After accidentally poking myself in the eye, I rubbed the eye with the finger I used to apply medication to the fever blister. I guess my main concern is do I have something to seriously worry about? Thank you.
Avatar f tn If the lid was on water should not get in it. If the water is clean and did get in what it will do is dilute the antibiotic.
Avatar f tn My eye was hurting at that point like some dirt is in my eye at the point of poking. I visited my eye doctor and he gave me some drops and a gel and in a day my eye healed. It's been 10 days and I have been seeing things blurry from that eye both far and near. My doc says that the wound has healed and it could be due to change in my prescription but my vision was alright before that. Could it be astigmatism or is it something else. Please help.
Avatar n tn The contact will usually cause discomfort in the eye and the whites of the eye will turn almost fully red with a high sensitivity to light. I went to my optometrist in 2005 who was pretty useless in helping me determine the cause, telling me it was allergies. I then went to an allergist who told me I wasn't allergic to anything. I stopped wearing my contacts and the problem cleared a few days later and I went back to my contacts.
