She was released about a month later but continued with a small wound to the lower sternal area. She went to Wound Care around 7/2009 and had a CT scan that supposedly came back without any noted pus pockets.

Avatar n tn I have a cough that is like when you take medicine that gives you the side effect. I'm taking no new medicine. I take toprol and diovan. I had a heart attack with quad by pass in 1998. Very little heart damage. After the attack, I had a staph infection that almost killed me. I was in hospital 1 month and took vancromicin at home 2 times a day for 3 months. This is the major part of my medical history. My questions are this: 1. Can you have a recurrence of staph with no wounds?
Avatar n tn Just in the last 2 days, I starting having a sharper pain in my right upper quad when I stretch my torso. What could all this be and could it be related to my recent surgery? Is this a normal recovery, or a possible complication? Could these be adhesions, and how are they dxed? My Gastroenterologist is doing a colonoscopy next week. What could the colonscopy tell us, that the CAT Scan didn't? I feel like my physicians are lack-a-daisical about it (sometimes not absorbing my entire hx).
Avatar f tn I'm just at my 5 weeks of recovering and no where near putting on regular clothes. I've had a infection with an abscess inside since surgery and now a infected area in my stitches. It's been an interesting journey. Check out HysterSisters.com also for answers. Pains come and go and it's hard to know what's normal and what's not. We're all so different and experience our own things with recovery.
599170 tn?1300977493 thanks! Constant tooth abscess due to my inappropriate oral hygiene. Even though not one ever had a source of entry for infection. Over time I have had almost all my molars bar 2 removed and numerous fillings. Discovered it is an auto-immune thing due to my Hashimoto's attacking my teeth. Told when having one molar removed, when I said I could feel the pain of it, that I was being too focused on the pain itself.
Avatar n tn Late January however the incisions got infected, and I was treated for celluitis due to a stitch abscess. It took two rounds of different antibiotics to fix it, and I had a heck of a time getting the surgeon up here who told me I needed surgery in the first place to see me again since he did not do the surgery himself. Now it is almost March, and I still cannot bend my knee all of the way.
