abscess

Avatar n tn Hello, in the last 3 months my husband has been in the doctor to be operated of abscess (all of them around the genital area and he is very clean with himself) now for the 3rd time. This time we got it on time and was just a small cut... He has been doing all the health check up and so far seems like all the blood levels and sugar is ok. But why could this happening so often?
Avatar n tn I had a lump in the genital area. After a few days it oussed pus and blood. Then cleared up a week later a have another one. Same deal hard at first still hard around the area now oussing pus and blood. Went to the doctor and was told it wasn't herpes but she doesn't know what cause it and thinks it may be infected glands. Anyone have any ideas? I have reach menopause. Does that mater?
Avatar f tn These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form. This often causes blockage in the main duct from the gland, and a cyst develops. This is felt as a painless, hard swelling. In such cases, antibiotics may be helpful, or surgical treatment might be required.
Avatar n tn Hi You have not mentioned if you have any itching, discomfort, discharge, or any other symptoms. A swelling in pubic area can be a mole or wart or abscess. If it was an abscess, strong antibiotics or surgical drainage may be required to heal it. Genital warts are usually found on the genitals, in the pubic area, and the area between the thighs. Since you have diabetes, your immune system has been weakened. This may have caused development of warts.
Avatar f tn I have never been with anyone other than my husband and the same goes for him, so I know I dont have an std. BUT I do have a rather large looking pimple in my genital area (on the skin, not the labia) It is about 1/4 an inch in width and about 1/4 of an inch high. It looks like its filled with some sort of puss. I noticed it yetserday so it has not been there for very long. What should I do?
Avatar n tn Hi. I am an 18 year old female. I am sexually involved with someone who had a vasectomy 6 years ago and who is in good health (and it is a long term relationship). I haven't been around him recently so I haven't had sex for a month or so. I have been vaguely aware of a small lump right where my thigh meets the area above my genitals for quite some time now, but haven't become alarmed until recently; when I went to the bathroom just now I noticed pus coming out of it.
Avatar m tn Hi, I"ve been experiencing since a few days some itching near my genital area, mostly in the skinfolds. Late night yesterday the itching got worse after I took off my clothes, and I've noticed some bumps. After I washed my genital area and applied zinc cream, the bumpy rash disappeared. The skin near my genital area also cracked, but I think the cause was because the underwear I wore was too tight. Yesterday I noticed a dry brown patch near my left tigh in the skinfold of my genital area.
1415174 tn?1453246703 I have a pea sized (or somewhat smaller) bump on the peri-anal area (outside of the anal area) that came up about two weeks ago. It is round and somewhat hard. It doesn't hurt and I haven't noticed bleeding. I have a back problem so I sit a lot and my stools are mostly soft occasionally slightly hard to pass but not terribly difficult. I can't check the color to see if it is pigmented or dark due to the back problem. Would someone tell me what this could be?
Avatar f tn Okay I am taking a class and just learned about genital warts. I read somewhere that if you take a kleenax and put vinegar on it and then hold it on the bump, if it turns red it may be genital warts. Try this and if it turns red then go to the doctor. I would go either way just to make sure.
Avatar m tn I now have this zit/abscess/boil on my groin area. Not on testicles or on penis but on the side of by thigh and groin joint area. It is painful when touched. And i have thigh pain too. But i started having thigh pain after I masturbated yesterday. For the past few months i have been having trouble with over masturbation. So i feel a mild pain on the left side of my thigh and inner thigh. Can this boil be genital herpes?
Avatar m tn For practical purposes, genital HPV is inevitable and unavoidable in all sexually active people. Happily, the large majority of infections remain asymptomatic, go away by themselves, and do not lead to any serious health outcome.
Avatar f tn I never had sex before or any type of sexual contact in the genital area. Im thinking that these bumps are regular vaginal bumps or pimples & they will go away. Please tell me if this is genital warts or herpes or not. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I went to the ER and I had a huge abscess in my groin area thanks to a misdiagnosis from my campus clinic (yay!)...I had to get it drained and it hurted so bad and now I'm on a bunch of antibiotics because it was so huge....
Avatar n tn There is one thing that has worked for me...I wash my genital area with Tea Tree Oil Shampoo /soap and it really does work! The brand that I was using has been discontinued so I'm going to make my own. Some brands simply don't have enough tea tree in them to be effective. Good luck!
Avatar m tn However it is important to rule out the other mentioned possibilities as well for which I suggest you to get a physical examination done from a urologist. There is currently no FDA-approved test to detect HPV in men. Genital warts can be diagnosed through visual examination of the penis and surrounding areas. If needed, a FNAB can be done. FNAB is fine needle aspiration biopsy which is aspiration of the material of the lump which is done by a fine gauge needle (22 or 25 gauge) and a syringe.
Avatar f tn I shave down there but hadn't for a few weeks, though I believe I remember cutting myself in around that area, but hadn't felt anything since. Did an I&D, and cultured it for bacteria only-negative. She repeatedly stated it didn't look like herpes. The pain from the I & D healed though the painless bump persisted. March 20th, the area around the bump was red/warm to touch and my right labia became swollen only on that right side.
Avatar n tn I have to admit that I have outbreaks often in genital area. Can the ulcer/sores manifest in appearance differently than in vaginal area? Also, can the virus cause more pain in the rectal area?
Avatar n tn The next morning, I proceeded to also shave my genital area as I tend to usually do. However, the next day, small clustered bumps appeared (about 10) around the areas I shaved. I also had severe shooting pains in my scrotum that same day into the next, radiating to my right leg. I thought nothing of it and let it go for another day. I went to my GP and he diagnosed the bumps as molluscum which he proceeded to burn off with liquid nitrogen.
Avatar n tn I had unprotected sex with one strange girl 2 years ago, after 2 weeks I got sore around anal area, but I went to Doctor and he told me that it was perianal abscess, since then my semen looks sometimes chocolate in color or blood. However, I had a surgery for the abscess and moreover I had even tested for several STD diseases for many times and the result was all negative.
Avatar n tn An autoimmune disease called Behcet's Syndrome's initial symptoms closely resemble the herpes virus, causing vaginal sores, cuts, fissures, folliculitis and or inflammation in the genital area. Other symptoms develop many years later. It is different in everyone who has it. . Your immune system is in over drive. It is an autoimmune disorder caused by enviromental damage to your immune system.
Avatar n tn If you only have one bump, check into bartholin cyst and bartholin abscess. A bartholin cyst happens when a duct in the vaginal area becomes clogged/blocked. A bartholin abscess is when the cyst becomes infected. Most resolve on their own within a day or so, but some may need medical treatment. Look into it and make an appointment with your obgyn.
Avatar m tn really no reason to think this is std related. don't let your guilt from the encounter make you think you had more risk than you did. You've tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia, the 2 most likely std's you would've contracted and they were negative. You are incredibly unlikely to contract trich from a damp towel. your urine test was negative too. you have been on multiple antibiotics as well as had "trauma" in the genital area from your abcesses.
Avatar n tn I've posted recently about a bothersome problem that I've had in the gyno area, mainly related to soreness and occasional itching. Closer inspection by me revealed some sort of little bump recently, but I [evidently] hadn't gotten to the right doc. Key points to note: Prescribed Temovate/thought it worked kind of well at first but then changed mind; started having a lot of pain yesterday. Looked at area with mirror and discovered it to be ravaged looking.
Avatar f tn Also should your abscess reoccur, make sure they consider MRSA as a cause. it's more and more common in the genital area and takes antibiotics to get rid of and also special cleaning/laundering so that you don't keep getting it back/spread it to others.
Avatar n tn i have a sore on my vagina, its very sore and got bigger over night. i have not had sex, but i dont know what it is.. its like a ball thats very sore..
