The first possibility is of a boil or abscess in the area. The second possibility is of a perineal hernia. It is a hernia involving the perineum (pelvic floor), mostly found in men and often appears as a sudden swelling to one side (sometimes both sides) of the anus.
Second possibility which comes to my mind is of pilonidal cyst.
After one year again I went to hospital cos I was really feeling genital discomfort, frequent urination, bloody semen, itching around anal area, pain around lower abdomen and pelvic area as well. That time the doctor ordered me to have PSA test and the result was a little bit high. Now my problem is about chocolate or bloody semen for 2 years. Please I would like to ask you politely to give me your advice cos this people couldnt help , as I am a foreign student in here.
From what you are describing I would think it may be a Bartholin's cyst or abscess. The Bartholin glands are in the lower portion of the vagina and while the cyst isn't supposed to be painful, the abscess is and I would imagine if the cyst were big enough it would hurt. You may want to see your gyn about this. Also you can google Bartholin's cyst and you will get a lot of information.
i have a lump under neath my skin near my pelvic bone u cant see it only feel it like a size of a marble it only hurts when put pressure on it im 28-29 weeks pregnant what is it ?
An abscess is basically a build up of pus and infection in the jaw bone area. I assume that since you've seen a dentist recently, it probably would've been spotted at your last checkup as they generally develop from large cavities. There are abscess that also develop from gum disease as well but assuming you had a cleaning and check up, thats also a little more unlikely. Best to get it checked out and taken care of.

I went home the next day, then returned to the hospital 3 days later with severe abdominal pain and fever. I was diagnosed with a pelvic abscess and severe infection. After a week in the hospital, I was sent home with a picc-line in my arm and a drainage tube for the abscess. I have been taking antibiotics vancomycin and Invanz daily through infusion.
I have been home 10 days and the drainage is now cloudy light pink as opposed to the dark pink with clumps while I was in the hospital.
For the last 4 months or so Ive had a thickening of the skin over my right axillae. I has a huge abscess in the area which resolved spontaneously after antibiotics. I noticed the irregularity in my skin soon afterwards. The lump hasnt increased in size but it wont go away either. Any thoughts??....thanks.

This lump can be a hematoma, swollen lymph node in response to an infection, abscess or an inguinal hernia. It is a result of a weakness, tear, gap or opening in the muscle wall of the lower abdomen or groin through which the contents of the abdomen, such as intestine, may protrude through the muscle creating localized pain, pressure and a feeling of heaviness.
I suggest you to get this lump examined from a surgeon to confirm the diagnosis.

I am 22 wks pregnant with a boy, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing pressure in their pelvic area or even a sharp pain in the same area. I spoke to my doctor who said I should go to the ER of it gets worst or if I have any bleedin but I want to know if it's normal, do other experience this ?
Hey I have a hole in my private area well I right where the private area and thigh meets in that joint area it looks kind of shallow I had it a month ago and got told it was an Abscess and after a bit it disappeared then tonight I was on the toilet and I felt moisture in that same spot so I looked and the hole was back so I decided to squeeze it and it started bleeding

From your symptoms,it looks like a Bartholin's abscess or cyst. There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholin’s glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form.
Keep your vaginal area clean and dry. Use cold compresses on itchy areas. Do not use soap, alcohol or things that will dry the area. Use vaginal cleansing foam and apply topical antibiotics like Neosporin. Consult a physician if the symptoms persist as you may need oral antibiotics.
