zyrtec while pregnant

Has anyone experienced a rash while being pregnant? When I was pregnant the first time, I got a strange, itchy rash on my stomach and arms around the 7th month and it stayed for about a month. My doctor had never seen it before, and he's been a doctor for about 30 years! Now I am 12 weeks pregnant, and the other day out of nowhere I broke out in an itchy rash all over my entire body! I have no idea what caused it as I had not used any lotions or eaten any different foods that day.

I was told Zyrtec. I was nervous because I had been taking it for two weeks before I found out I was pregnant, they said it was safest thing to take. Also Sinus Rinse its very helpful, great drug free decongestant.

I had been taking Zyrtec daily before I found out I was pregnant, she said Zyrtec is one of the only drugs safe in the first trimester. Benadryl is on the avoid in first trimester list.

Hi I recently found out im about 6 weeks pregnant and I stopped taking my allergy medication (zyryec-D) because I didn't know if it was safe to take while pregnant. The only problem is, is that I'm having the worst time because everything triggers me to sneeze or rub my eyes and at night it's especially bad because I can't breathe as easily as I was able to while on my allergy medication.

I have really severe allergies and benadryl is not doing it for me. Today I woke up with a bloody nose. My eyes are so itchy and watery. My throat hurts a lot and etc ... I dont like taking anything while pregnant but I can't handle this anymore. Any natural remedies ?

There's certain allergy medicines that are ok to take while pregnant. I know benadryl is one of them not sure what the others are.

Claritin or zyrtec is what you can take they told me to get zyrtec for mine I'm 30w5d now but in the beginning of my pregnancy I took claritin they gave me a paper of medications safe to take and for allergies it says either one of those are safe

i went in for allergy medicine...while at the doctors he told me i was pregnant. he told me i could take benydryl zyrtec and claritin. of course ask your doctor but thats what he told me.

I started having chronic urticaria 24 years ago (while pregnant). I only get it with certain foods such as vinegar, emotions/stress or while exercising. I've been to dermatologists, tried anti-histamines, etc., without any luck. Finally a close friend who is a Vascular Surgeon told me to try taking both Zyrtec (10mg) and Pepcid (50 - 100 mg) at least an hour prior to exercise. It has worked great for me! These are both OTC drugs. Hope this helps someone!

Help me, I've got a horrible head cold and I feel like s h i t! Nearly everything I can think of to take you can't have while pregnant. So what are some good remedies to help me feel better?

My have had terrible allergy symptoms so dr told me that zyrtec, Claritan and bendryl are safe during pregnancy. I took Zyrtec during the day yesterday with no relief by bedtime so I took a Benadryl to hopefully get some sleep at night because my symptoms were still terrible! Didn't realize this might not be ok to mix- anyone have any idea if mixing them once is ok?? Now I'm really nervous I did something wrong even though they're both safe.

I took all of my medications until I got a positive pregnancy test. After that I stopped but I'm sure you can talk to your doctor about what's safe after you conceive. I know people that take allergy medication while pregnant but I don't you can in the first trimester.

Do any of you lady's take zyrtec for allergies? I don't like taking anything period but my allergies are sever. I claritan with my son but I feel like zyrtec works better. I was told its just as safe but figured I'd see what you lady's take.

I am a major allergy sufferer! Clarifying and Zyrtec are safe to take. However! Do not get the ones with the "D" added onto them (claritin d) because that is either not studied enough yet or not recommended. I take claritin as needed. "They" say it might be bad for allergies this spring with the late start. Exercise indoors. Take care and hopeb this is helpful. We are also allowed Benadryl but that you would need to call about. ...

I got the ok on zyrtec during pregnancy from my allergist, OB, and pharmacist. I am positive that zyrtec is ok.

3) Is BID dosing of Zyrtec safe in pregnancy? I know it is safe during pregnancy but I think most people who are pregnant are using it PRN, not QD or BID. Without the Zyrtec, my hives are not only unbearable but they also start to present in my throat, mouth and on my lips, so going without it is not really an option for me.

Does anyone know what's safe to take for allergies while pregnant this spring weather is kicking my but and my c section is scheduled for wensday so I have to get it under some kinda control. So please anyone?

unfortunately theres not much you can do while pregnant. you can take benedryl for the stuffy nose and itchy throat. thats about it though. nasal issues are common with pregnancy anyway so unfortunately youll be dealing with that allot. benedryl and Tylenol only.

No only benedryl while pregnant! Take regular amount I think it's 2 but just read to make sure on the box! That's the only one safe during pregnancy!
