Avatar f tn IM HAVIN BAD ALLERGIES AND I COULDN'T BREATHE SO I USE SOME NASAL SPRAY IN MY NOSE LAST NITE DID IT HARM MY BABY JUST WANT TO KNOW CAUSE I KNOW WHEN YOUR PREGNANT YOU CAN ONLY TAKE TYNEOL
Avatar f tn Eat a ton of local honey, it isn't a miraculous cure, but it helps with the severity. I also have bad sinus problems and I used to use nasal spray so much but can't while pregnant. It makes me crazy. I find if I sleep on my back it helps my sinuses to drain, but I can't continue that too Mich longer. I have a sinus rinse but it doesn't help me, unfortunately.
Avatar f tn No nasal spray. I use that every day until I got pregnant. Then my doctor told me to stop. I only take zyrtec now and my emergency inhaler when my chest gets too tight. It stinks big time. I am allergic to my cat.

Avatar f tn I take zyrtec and Rhinocort Aqua, it is nasal spray and it does help. I have tried other nasal sprays but this one seems to work the best.
Avatar n tn A good initial treatment is a nasal steroid spray, like Flonase. Zyrtec or Claritin might also be effective. If medical management does not work, immunotherapy (allergy shots) might be required to desensitize you to the things to which you are allergic.
Avatar f tn m just getting over a cold too. All I used was plain old saline nasal spray and breath right strips. Uugghhhh. I think meds with decongestants in them are bad for baby. I could be wrong though. I played it safe just in case.
850029 tn?1238857820 I can control the fragrance part of it but had chronic sinus infections due to my other allergies after I took myself off it. I do nasal rinses, take nasal spray and try to minimize the allergens around me and it really feels like the Zyrtec doesn't little. And its not even spring allergy time in Minnesota!!!!!
Avatar n tn Constant nasal dripping will need antihistamines (benadryl or zyrtec). Another option that doesn't include drugs is a nasal wash. Neilmed has a good product and is highly rated with MD's. You can go to their website for information and testimonials. http://www.neilmed.com/usa/testimon_cust.
Avatar f tn It is often treated with a drying nasal spray (like Atrovent) and antihistamines like chlorpheniramine and loratadine are effective. Nasal decongestant drops too relieve congestion. Please consult your primary care physician for further evaluation. Regards.
Avatar f tn My Dr told me Benadryl or Clariton.
Avatar f tn She does not have asthma now and is not on this anymore 3.She was on nasonex 50mcg/spray (steroid nasal spray) for a period for 7 months (but not continuous-she was on and off on it..say she used it only for 7 days in a month and for 3 weeks during pollen season ) FOr her allergy rhinities. We do not use these anymore. 4.Occasionally she has antihistamine like zyrtec. 5.She does not use any of the asthma and allergy medicated steroid spray anymore. 6.
1079895 tn?1256047206 He put me on Zyrtec D and nasal spray; In addition I wash my sinus with a mild saline solution everyday. I stopped the nasal spray after a year or so, too many nose bleeds and I found Zyrtec to be addictive, when I stopped taking it, my hands itch and I get itchy spots on my body. This lasts for a few days and then goes away. I have not taken it in a year and feel much better. I am not so tired all the time. Yes I’m talking about oral steroids, and they scare the heck out of me.
Avatar m tn I saw an ENT who said everything looks good. I do the saline nasal cleanse, Zyrtec twice a day and two nasal sprays twice a day. No relief. I've been on vacation out of state and out of country and still no relief. On a good day I only blow my nose twenty times. On a bad day it's like 20x an hour. I only have relief when put on steroids and its only durinng the course of treatment. I also had relief when I was in Maryland. I was there for two weeks.
10946054 tn?1417108117 Cough drops, robitussin, Vick vapor rub.. For a stuffy nose you can use saline nasal spray.
Avatar n tn t been sleeping well at night for the past 3 weeks because of the nasal congestion and have been waking up with a nasty dry mouth in the morning. I have tried benadryl, claritin 24 hrs tablets, zyrtec (also 24 hr tablet), nasal spray (some kind of anticholinergic solution), Singulair and phenylephrine so far. Benadryl doesn't really work for me anymore and claritin and zyrtec are effective for only half the day.
233772 tn?1297353383 I am not sure if I am combining too much with that as well. I go off and on because I am worried about using nasal spray too many days in a row. I also am plugged up so much that I can't even blow my nose. Nothing comes out! I can feel it drip though in the back of my nose. I went to the doctor and he was going to put me on a nasal spray but he forgot to. I have been on that same one before however and it didn't do anything. I am thinking of seeing an allergist.
Avatar n tn If you have a stuffy nose, use ocean nasal spray and vicks vapor rub. I have a lot of congestion and it helps. Like mentioned above, eat cough drops. At night use a humidifier. It'll help.
Avatar m tn If you do have a chronic sinus infection, typical antibiotic treatment is for 4-6 weeks. A nasal steroid spray is also beneficial as well as oral steroids. Nasal saline irrigations over the counter like NeilMed or Neti pot are very effective, but worsen Eustachian tube dysfunction (water in the ears or feeling of fullness in the ears). The best diagnosis for this problem is a CT of the sinuses. Surgery is recommended to patients that fail maximal medical treatment.
503607 tn?1275671579 I'm really confused about this. My ENT told me I shouldn't take Allegra anymore, nor Claritin, nor Aerius or Zyrtec. Also, no Sudafed and ones like that. He said I really shouldn't take anything with a heart arrhythmia, except to use a saline nasal spray from the pharmacy. That doesn't do much, but is better than nothing. When I get congested, my ears plug and I get dizzy. I really wish I felt I could safely take something, but am afraid to do so.
Avatar f tn Okay, so I have been thinking I have a really bad cold, but I have no other symptoms, just a stuffy nose. It's so stuffy I can't stand it! Does anyone else get stuffy noses? What do you do for it? I read online use Saline spray since there isn't much I can take...any suggestions?!?
Avatar m tn other things hat help me get through it ocean ultray spray at least three times a day. I did try the sudafed, but if zyrtec makes you tired then sudafed will too. Especially the 60mg.
Avatar n tn I remember with DS #2 I was on claritan (I think) and flonase nasal spray. I would talk with your doctor to get a better idea of whats safe or not.
1646392 tn?1333251893 I have done sinus rinses, nose strips, sudafed, benedryl at night, vicks rub, and zyrtec. I can get about two hours of sleep at night before I wake up with my nose running and nose clogged. My husband has started sleeping the guest room because I keep him up at night. I tend to go through a roll of toilet paper blowing my nose in two to three nights. I stay awake for one to three hours at night trying to breath, blowing my nose, and trying to fall back asleep.
