Zyrtec constipation

Common Questions and Answers about Zyrtec constipation

zyrtec

Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.

She's ten months old now and still has it. she has allergies so she does take liquid zyrtec now, but I haven't noticed a difference. As for the constipation, we gave Lexi one ounce of prune juice and one half of a pediatric glycerine suppository. It still doesn't soften her stool so she now gets one teaspoon of miralax in her bottle when she gets backed up. If you are bottle feeding the formula can cause constipation.
I take prilosec every day and my doctor says its fine. I would get off the zyrtec D and start the 24 hour zyrtec liquigels. You only take it once a day. You don't need the decongestant in the zyrtec D. You may be stuffy for a few days until you ween yourself off the decongestant but you will be okay. If you have that much diarrhea try taking some iron pills. I take 324 mg b/c of low iron. It makes you go a couple of times a day and regulates you and your stool.
My daughter (16 mos) has red under her eyes and small bumps on the skin under her eyes (not on inner lid) these wax and wane. I have tried Zyrtec on the advice of her allergist in the event it is allergy related and have not seen improvement. They have been present for almost 2 weeks and although the redness varies in severity it has not completely gone away since they came. She is also receiving treatments for constipation (she had a cleanout of enemas and is now on miralax).
I've never had constipation and any strange freaky things going on in that area until now. I have occasional heartburn, (which I attributed to getting older), and some cramping and bloating, which I've attributed to what I eat or menstural issues. I take a baby aspirin for my heart arythmia, zyrtec, vitamin C, a mulitvitamin, zinc, and cod liver oil. I know aspirin can cause bleeding, but like this? Please let me know, I'm freaking out and don't have issurance coverage until 10/01/08.

Hemorrhoids can cause mucous in the stool. Constipation can also cause mucous in the stool. Fatty foods can cause mucus in the stool. Certain food allergies or food intolerances can also cause mucus in the stool, especially lactose intolerance. Gas is a common sign in cases of food intolerances. You mention "turds", which I assume are small, firm, round balls, which indicates constipation. If I were you, I would keep a food diary. Put what foods you eat, and when.

I do have problems with gas but not constipation which I assume is diet and getting older. I eat 1 Activa a dayand use Gas X. Once in a blue moon I eat a tums if I have eaten something spicy. She's a skinny little girl, but still healthy. Thankfully we can use the same detergent so we're good there. I use Zyrtec instead of Benadryl. Mysterious rashes are treated with baking soda baths, cortizone and Zyrtec. Poor girl got some rough genes. She also has IBS. So bathroom time is a bit rough. Constipation and diarrhea are common problems. They cause embarrassing accidents and lots of discomfort. It's hard to see her struggle through it. She's a trooper though.

Now, again based on my doctor recommendation I am using ZYRTEC temporarily. So far, it looks like ZYRTEC has also NO EFFECT on my body. Of course, one can argue that it needs some time to have some some effect on body.... etc. Friday, August 08, 2008, I have an appointment with Dermatologist. I cant wait to see what dermatologist will recommend.

I have been suffering for years with pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation and tried everything, had tests for everything else , but never thought I had a true allergy. I have read here that they can get worse over time so I wonder if that's what's happening. I plan to see my Dr in April and see what tests he can do and who he recommends me to see next. In the meantime, I wondered if it is safe for me to take generic Claritin until then?
Diagnosed me with idiopathic hives/angioedema. Prescribed Zyrtec and Axid, suggested anxiety. I am only taking Zyrtec, hives stopped. Now I am having alternating constipation/sometimes diarhea immediately after I start eating. Happened twice after eating tomatoes. Is it possible to have anxiety about eating? Or is this an overlooked allergy. I am afraid to eat. I have been under alot of stress due to marital problems.
i take allergy meds, starting zyrtec D today and i take benedryl at night ONLY because it calms me down and helps me sleep. i know anxiety makes this condition worse. but there IS a condition here. and it's only getting worse with my tongue and back throat. i also thought TMJ but my bite doesn't feel off and i can chew fine. it's only left ear and in the morning it's not bad at all, i can barely feel congestion..
x, with consistent sweats and jaundice. Although I had little appetite, I experienced regular constipation. They gave me lactulose for that. After 48 hours fever-free, but still with high enzyme count in my liver, the doctors admitted "all we can speculate is that this is a virus of some kind we have never seen." So they sent me home.
Shortly after, my throat started to feel strange and I felt as if my throat was gradually starting to close. I immediately took Zyrtec-D when the symptoms started, about 5 minutes after the drink. About four hours later the feeling had not gone away, and was gradually progressing. I went to a doctor nearby and he examined my throat. He did say that my tonsils were swollen and noticed the white gunk I had on my left tonsil, but he did not see anything wrong with my throat.

I know it's hard- just check with doctor every so often. I do notice when I gave my son zyrtec, he ate more- maybe it would help stimulate for a few days til they find something they love.
But then do take an antihistaminic like Zyrtec 1 at bedtime till you meet the doc,and do use the anti lice.Do not drive after taking the tab.
I began smoking cigarettes and moved into a place where I could definately tell that I was allergic to cats and dogs in the environment. I began taking Zyrtec for my allergies. On March 13th I got sick. I got dizzy and nauseated, throwing up, skin flushed, sensations of having a fever without temperature, thick clear mucous, bright light sensitivity, sensitivity to loud sounds, rib muscles pulling, sensitivity to cold, pain in upper left abdomen, sharp chest pains, and tremors.
