My pitbull puppy is about 5mos old and weighs about 50lbs and two times he has vomited up his own feces and I don't understand why Can someone please explain this to me as he gets fed 3 times a day and eats all his dog food and has had all his shots and does poop his regular stool so I became alarmed when he did this unusual thing!!!!!!!
so has she passed much in the past few days other than just this little bit tonight?
can't really say, other than she may be constipated as brown vomit can indicate feces coming up that can't pass due to an obstruction...in any case if the she continues to vomit she really needs to see a Vet asap.
My little westie, approx. 10 years old has recently starting throwing up bile. I spoke to the vet and he feels it is allergies and she is due to come in for her first ever allergy shot. However the vet is out of town till Thur. and now she is not eating, but drinking what seems like quite a bit of water and then throwing it up. What can I do to make her more comfortale for now? I did give her 1/2 of Cimetidine (doggie Pepcid) just a few minutes ago.

This is soon followed with stomach nauseousness, then diarrhea and then vomiting. The vomiting is usually of the projectile type - very violent and ending in dry heaves. However, when I'm threw with the purge, I feel 100% better as I'm usually have that awful nauseous feel or that gas and bloated feeling. The diarrhea may continue for a another few hours, but I'm usually over the burping and vomiting during the first 24 hours and the diarrhea within 32 hours.
if she is vomiting up feces it means she could well have a blockage in her bowel an if so this is an emergency, are you sure she hasn't gone elsewhere?? The very worst thing you can feed a cat is dry food....get her some canned food even if it's the cheap brands...still much better than dry especially when there's a constipation problem

I have this too, I regained my weight(I only slowed my eating, never vomited) by taking enough HCL after meals to make the LES close, since the reflux was what was bothering me the most. Maybe you are still not digesting your food because your dosages are too low. You would know because your feces would have strange unusual smells, and be of strange colors too!

I began taking Zyrtec for my allergies. On March 13th I got sick. Shes had sensitive stomach all her life, usually throws up after drinking a lot of water fast. Dont know if that matters but...

Did you drink anything purple lately? I have had green stools before when I drank purple gatorade and koolaid. Scared me until I realized what caused it.
