Vomiting feces death

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting feces death

Avatar m tn if she is vomiting up feces it means she could well have a blockage in her bowel an if so this is an emergency, are you sure she hasn't gone elsewhere?? The very worst thing you can feed a cat is dry food....get her some canned food even if it's the cheap brands...still much better than dry especially when there's a constipation problem It's very important tht you scoop out a litter box no less than once a day....the bacteria builds up an can lead to urinary tract infections...
Avatar n tn I don't have any knowledge of what could have happened to your dog, but would like to say I'm sorry to hear of her death. My dog is also twelve, and at the vet last week I read on a chart that she is beyond being a senior, she is in the geriatric stage, which yours would have been too. Its hard to believe their that old, you can at the very least be comforted that she didn't have a disease that you would have to watch her suffer with, or have to euthanize her.
Avatar f tn 30a, no vomiting, no diarrhea, no symptoms, nothing unusual in the yard. He had a bad habit of eating sticks, wood (he always chewed on our deck), but he had no symptoms of being ill AT ALL. I came home 5:45p, & according to the vet he'd been gone since @ 3 or 4p. His necropsy showed twigs, rocks & plastic (what you put under rock landscaping). His digestive tract up to his belly was normal. From there to his colon it was red, inflamed, lesions, then from colon on it was normal.
Avatar n tn My 20-year-old daughter has been ill with vomiting, severe abdominal pain, 20-pound weight loss, shortness of breath, malaise, fatigue and a high eosinophil count (34.8). This has been going on for over two months. About 45 minutes after eating, she cannot stand the pain, is nauseated, and vomits. She has had an endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroclysis, CT scan with barium, a small bowel follow through (SBFT), head MRI, ultrasound of gallbladder and pancreas, chest x-ray, and also blood tests.
Avatar f tn Is Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome just a name slapped on a person who "throws up" for no apparent reason? Maybe my daughter has been misdiagnosed? There are some very specific factors that we have witnessed for 16 years - no drugs have been used for her symptoms or condition since she was 4, because frankly, nothing works.... I was just told about this site and immediately looked up what my daughter was diagnosed with back when she was 2 years old - CVS.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately it's a really difficult queston to answer - it varies Generally, when a person stops taking food and fluids, is bedridden, is unable to effectively clear respiratory secretions, and has a significantly decreased level of consciousness then they are considered moribund - meaning imminent death, which could translate as having only hours or days left, but certainly not weeks.
Avatar f tn We didn't notice anything wrong with our dog and stepped over him like we normally do when he's sleeping. There were no signs of death at the time. We were in my room for 5 or 10 minutes. Mom left to go into the kitchen to get some water and noticed our dog was laying oddly with his back legs sprawled out like his front paws which was pretty unusual. My father looked at him and told my mother our dog was dead after noticing feces and vomit on the floor.
Avatar m tn So, last week out the blue she wasn't feeling well. She preceded to vomit. As she was vomiting it looked and smelled like feces, blood was present, also. She was rushed to the hospital and they said that her kidneys were failing. As they began to airlift her to another facility specialized in that field, she passed away. She was only 17. The doctors in Memphis and Mississippi do not know what caused these symptoms.
Avatar m tn This is why it is extremely dangerous when a person's intestinal contents are spilled into the peritoneal cavity (the fluid-filled space between the walls of the abdomen and the organs inside the abdomen), or when fecal vomiting (yes, that means the vomiting of poop) occurs. Our mouths, esophagus, and stomach are NOT meant to be exposed to the waste from our intestines (gut). An example is E.coli bacteria--it is present in our gut to help digest food. But it is dangerous to ingest E.
Avatar m tn She is of the age that a puppy can get parvo and if NOT treated can cause death. I do not want to scare you, but catch it early and it is curable. Please find a way to get help. Parvo prevention is very important for puppies. If your dog, especially your new puppy, begins exhibiting any of these symptoms, see a veterinarian right away. When parvo is involved, every hour counts. The secret of survival is quick treatment, so don’t ignore these symptoms!

Patients should NOT stop taking these medicines without first talking to their health care professionals. Stopping treatment early could result in drug resistance to other hepatitis C medicines.
Avatar m tn found her laying under the steps. When I called she did not respond. Moving close I saw her tail covered in loose feces. Upon picking her up she was limp. I placed her inside & cleaned her up unsure what to do. As I recently lost my job I had finances to immediately call a vet. I gave her water & layed her on a towel while contemplating the situation. When I returned she had moved to another spot & in carried a trail of blood behind her.

But I think you should be finu until then, unless it persists. Just don't forget to run that by him/her.

Avatar n tn Is he in danger of starving to death? Is this something that will stay with him through life? What about parasites? They said something about his belly and parasites, but didn't do a fecal float on him! (THAT kinda made me mad!) So now they keep him another night, until he poops again, to do that!
Avatar n tn -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prevention Transmission of the virus can be reduced by avoiding unclean food and water, thorough hand washing after using the restroom, and thorough cleansing if there is any contact with an affected person's blood, feces, or any body fluid. Daycare facilities and other institutions involving close contact with people may be more susceptible to rapid transmission of Hepatitis A.
2135214 tn?1335877263 I would make sure to collect some stool to take with you because the vet is going to want to do a fecal to see what bacteria or parasites, if any, are present in her feces. You don't need a lot, a plastic spoonful in an old baby food jar or something of similar size will be adequate. If you collect it before you go to the vet, seal it up and wrap it well and refrigerate it to preserve the integrity.
Avatar m tn On Friday, 21st, He started to complain about nausea and pain in his abdomen. Around lunch time he had projectile vomiting of bile. The nurse called the Dr. and he came by the hospital around 5 o clock that afternoon. He entered the room with a smile and stated,he heard that my husband had a bile movement. I explained to him that the bile movement was through his mouth not the rectum.. He looked startled at first and then added,"no harm done as long as it did not happen again".
1763947 tn?1334058919 From WikiAnswers: Does Coumadin have rat poison in it? "Answer: Coumadin (warfarin) is the active ingredient in rat poison. That being said, Coumadin is dosed, for humans, in a manner which prevents blood clotting (especially for those at risk), and does not act as a poison at the therapeutic dosage level. (However, when rats ingest the high concentrations of warfarin in rat poison, they bleed to death, internally.)" A longer, better and more precise answer is found on Wikipedia.

Avatar f tn Christmas day, I brought my mother to the hospital because she was bleeding out her nose, vomiting blood, and her feces where bloody. Doctor's placed her in ICU and "tied off" the verisee veins (spelling??? ) in her esophagus, which so far is successful. Then later that day, "drained" 7 liters of fluid off her stomach and did an ultrasound that determined that the TIPS was clogged (preformed in November 2010).

Avatar f tn When you fart in the bathtub, you are releasing small amounts of feces into the water with you. A deceased person will still fart shortly after death.
Avatar f tn Then came the hard, small, compacted balls of feces, followed by explosive diarrhea. At that point I was losing ground fast, but had almost no where to go. Didn't care, had to get down. I thought I made to the ground, but nope, next thing I know I'm waking up to a marching band in my ears, laying in a puddle of blood (better than the alternative I suppose) Shaky, weak, clammy, shivering, still cramping. Had to crawl back on the toilet and call my niece for help.
Avatar m tn but I felt soo sick all the doctor came up with was chronic fatigue syndrome and most people thought that it was a made up condition all in a persons head.but I smelled like feces so I went to a gastroenterologist and they ran every test also negative so I thought it was all in my head it must be nerves.I thought I was crazy but I felt soo tired and kind of in a fog.
Avatar f tn First of all my sister died of a traumatic brain injury in Feb, we waited and watched her die--living in a hospital for a month, once removed from life support it took her a week before death took her.
Avatar m tn NOw that SVR is almost certain, I want to speak about HCV, it is easier somehow, if they don't see you as still infectious, plus it shows them that it is not a death sentence to test positive for the virus. I want to approach the Y for Health week, to speak about HCV, my daughter's health class, etc. At work, only my supervisor and two friends knew, I want to tell everyone to get tested.
Avatar f tn Available evidence indicates that enemas do not in fact decrease the chances of elimination during birth nor the incidence of fecal contamination during labor, whereas they do often cause considerable pain and distress to the laboring mother (Romney and Gordon 1981; Whitley and Mack 1980).
