Women are more prone to gallbladder attacks like this especially if you are pregnant or have been pregnant. Get your gallbladder checked. It could be stones or the pre-stone formation. It made me sick as a dog too especially when eating fatty foods.
If you're vomiting up blood on any occasion, run not walk to your doctor or nearest health clinic. This may be an emergency! (or at least a sign of cancer) Vomiting blood on any occasion is a serious concern (especially with the variables you express). There should be free services available for your area to check out. My dog is seven weeks pregnant she hasn't been eating, tried mixing different foods with her dry food, she turns away from her dish, she started throwing up earlier today and I'm not sure what to do
I am 8 weeks pregnant I have been vomiting all this time I cannot keep anything inside my stomach what can I do
My dog is possibly 44 days pregnant. Complete blood panel showed WBC 24.8 and RBC slightly low, but nothing to be concerned over the vet said. Gums were pink and temp was 101.8. They gave her one bag of sub-q fluids for dehydration, due to lack of not eating or drinking for a couple days. They gave her anti-nausea medicine and did xray. Xray showed gas in duodenum of small intestine and no sign of puppies though they said it was early.
Holy cow, I have been sick as a dog all week. Secondary ear infection caused by a primary infection of the flu. Fever for 4 days, aches, HORRIBLE sore throat, coughing, stuffy, then on the 5th day vomiting. Today on the 6th day I am finally beginning to see improvement, no fever, not as stuffy. However STILL extremely nauseous so now I am assuming it is a symptom of the pregnancy, not the flu. It's hard to tell! I was told by the Dr.
I have a pregnant female who is 53days pregnant and i was wanting to know if this is a sign that she will be going into labor soon and I have not noticed her eatting at all yet today and we've been up for a while. This is my first time having puppies so i needing lots of help. Thank you for all the help.
He has very good days when he will eat and then a day when he vomits bile (usually only once, possibly twice) and then won't eat. We've just had a period of 11 days and no vomiting and eating like a horse (but restricted intake by us). Low fat, low protein, easily digestible diet, i.e. white fish, rice, pasta, turkey mince - boring but seems to keep him OK. Occasionally porridge or weetabix cereal with low fat milk.
Hello I am sorry to hear about your dog. In my experience, having a crying giant breed dog who is also a senior and ages more quickly than smaller breeds is reason enough to visit your veterinarian. This will help you to resolve this issue sooner rather than later.
Well it seems if her body is craving something ,,,have you tried different dog food ? if you have get her onto a good multi vitamin for pregnant females and see what happens. In your food are there vegies? the trouble is she now likes your food better than her own. Can you make extra for her as long as it is a good balanced diet I always do fresh food for my dogs, feed her chicken meat with vegies. also feed fresh minced beef Do you have salt in your food as that is maybe what she is going after.!
As some of you know, Jake, our 9 y/o Doberman, has been plagued with unexplained vomiting for the past year and a half. He would vomit, usually on a completely empty stomach, 2-3 times (or more) every day unless medicated with a very expensive doggy antiemetic called Cerenia. He had every test known to man or beast, no reason was ever discovered. We just had to watch him and get him outside in time to puke outdoors.
I've only thrown up two or three times since I got pregnant but it was always when I took pnv pills that were too big. It's been a rough week with nausea and I just want to feel better. My husband has always taken care of me when I get sick but this morning he had already left for work. I made my dog come sit by me in the bathroom for comfort, and then just started bawling. Sorry for the vent. I am tired of feeling so sick all of the time. I'm sure I'm not alone.
My daughter is two years old and this past Sunday she woke up vomiting. At the time we thought that most likely she had gotten into some bad food because her Father had picked her up a chicken tenders kids meal late that night when the place was about to close. Well she fell back to sleep that morning and when she woke back up she was fine. She was playing and running and laughing all day. She even rode a carousel! Well that night (Sunday)while she was sleeping she threw up again.
She's new to our family as we rescued her less than 5 months ago, and she had not been fixed yet. The vet said she appeared pregnant. Her stomach is swollen and her nipples have dropped tremendously. She suggested I make another appointment to have the pregnancy confirmed. So I did... for this week. Brena is a very active and playful dog. Never content with lounging around, she is always running about and antagonizing my male dog Murphy.
We just figured she was pregnant since calculating when the dog jumped the fence to now was about 4 weeks and everything I read said that at about this time during a pregnancy the dog's belly will swell and they will lose their appetite but that there is no need to take them to the vet as this is normal. After reading your article I am now suspecting she had GDV which I had never heard of (but wish I had so we would have known how serious her condition was).
She throws up until she staggers and falls-I am continuously trying to hydrate her and giving her baby food-At times, she is able to keep it down, other times the vomiting is horrible. She continues to try for us, and we are fighting so hard for her-LIke others, I tuck her in at night (she sleeps on the loveseat with her "bankie" covering her). I am sleeping in the den with her so I can give her support throughout the night. Neither of us are getting much sleep.
But im experiencing those pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness, nausea and vomiting, mild cramping, back pain, frequent urinating, food cravings and nose like a dog. Hardly sleep at night and elevated temp. Does anyone have same experience like me?! Help please...
Hi, I am a 42 yr old female who has had morning nausia associated with vomiting for 10 years now off and on. There are days or even months I go with no systoms at all. Other times I am nausiated or vomiting upon waking for weeks at a time. When it first started it was only a couple days here and there a year now it is has progressed to almost always and not just in the mornings. Some times it last all day or I vomit for days at a time.
Hello there, I would strongly suggest that you or another member of your family take your poodle to your vet asap. How old is your dog ? If she's vomiting and not eating this is concerning. She needs to be seen by a vet, in my opinion, urgently. Until it's confirmed your dog is pregnant, the reason for her throwing up and not eating is unknown.
You can be sicker than a dog, but it doesn't mean you will carry that baby to term. I've been pregnant twice and miscarried once. With my daughter I had fatigue, sore breasts and nausea/vomiting. With my miscarriage I had nausea/vomiting and fatigue. The claim is that nausea/vomiting is a good sign and shows a strong pregnancy, but this is not true. Symptoms, if you even get any, are how your body reacts to the pregnancy.

He is 22 months and since the last check I have had periodical severe abdominal pain lasting a few hours each time. The most recent I had to go to the hospital since I had sudden vomiting and the pain was so intense it shocked me. It lasted on friday from 3pm till 11pm without letup, I couldn't really pass anything and the next day my whole right siden of my stomache was sore.
The faint line that I was getting on HPT before my persiod was due, has finally gotten darker. So now I am sure that I am pregnant. But the think is that I have no signs. I get ocasional cramps, but no stretch feeling. since I once had belighted ovum, I am worried that may be the baby is not growing as it should be. I also dont have breast tenderness, nausea, or anything else. Did anyone have similar experience and everything was ok?
Sorry to be so blunt but morning sickness does come along with being pregnant. Most of us had to deal with it and didn't need to smoke weed to get through it. Ask ur dr for meds or try eating smaller meals. As some of the ladies posted before you are now a mother, its time to start putting baby first.
and before I got pregnant I weighed almost 250. I lost about 20 pounds in the first trimester due to vomiting. When I was about 19 weeks I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I have had to completely change the way I eat. Before I started the diet I gained back about 7 pounds. Since I started I've lost 3 more.
and the summer is terrible- you will have a lot of swelling even if you have a healthy pregnancy. i swore i would never be that pregnant in the summer again. oops. seems i forgot. if you peek at the pregnancy forum, you can see how many people are b!tching and whining, praying their baby comes early because they are so miserable. you will have to pee every hour, your back will be killing you.
I'll be 46 at the end of this month & just moved to a new state so I don't have the luxury of knowing any doctors. In the last 1-2 months I suddenly gained 40 + lbs & look pregnant. That seems to be where the weight all is. A urinalysis proved negative for pregnancy on Monday & with my 3 grown kids I did not gain this much weight &/or so fast. I just look pregnant & feel "full - heavy - tired & short of breath" most of the time.
My friends that have been pregnant or that are currently pregnant, that have never experienced a M/C, have no idea why I feel nervous. Great to hear all of the stories of people who have had successful pregnancys. Thanks!!
