Avatar f tn My doctor told me to take vitamin b6 to help with nausea. So I think it might help you with nausea and lessen the effects. She told me to take either 25mg 4 times a day or take 100 mg 1 time a day.
Avatar f tn m concerned about possible effects a high dosage of b6 has on pregnancy and developing baby. But I also read that since b6 helps produce progesterone, if you stop taking it right after getting pregnant your progesterone levels will decrease putting the pregnancy at risk. Please advise. Thank you.
Avatar f tn No I take vitamin b6 for nausea too. But b12 I think helps for a healthier appetite. I'll have to ask.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried vitamin b 6 for nausea? Just wanted to see how it worked for anyone else.

Avatar f tn This is my first and mine nausea was so bad I was in the bathroom every hour. My dr. Told me to try 50 mg of vitamin b6 which personally didn't help me. So he gave me a script which helps a little. But sea bands help some and fudge-sicles. And a little sprite. The carbonation makes me burp but its better than throwing up.

703841 tn?1322565968 The information my doctor sent home with me said Unisom or 25mg of vitamin B6 taken once a day (at night I think). Peppermint works well for me. (when it's mild) Hope this helps and I hope it passes soon!
Avatar f tn Every one tells me crackers are your best friend mine not so much but the may help you You can also try a have a unisom and a vitamin b6 50mg for some women this helps others not so much. Let your doctor know how your feeling if you lose to much weight the may want you to try a zofran or phenagran both are safe for pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I was having nausea as well for the past 2 weeks. Finally I tried, at the direction of my doctor, vitamin B6 10-25mg/8hrs. This has truly been great. It begins working relatively quickly also. I do not suffer from vomitting at this point, but I have read it does not really help with that.
Avatar f tn try crackers and ginger ale
Avatar f tn Did any moms try vitamin b6 and unisom for nausea and have it work good. Then it start to taper off and work less and less? If so what did you do next. I have tried Every other nausea trick such as zofran and a couple others, sea bands, crackers and sprite.
906115 tn?1344200509 The med was called Bendectin. Here is a little blip I found on www.babycenter.com: You may have also heard of Bendectin (which combines an antihistamine with vitamin B6). This drug was once widely used in the United States to treat morning sickness, but controversy over its safety during pregnancy despite no scientific evidence that it was harmful forced the company to pull it from the market. (These days, it's only available in Canada under the name Dicletin.
Avatar f tn You should deffinately try vitamin b6. I was the same exact way I could'nt keep anything down not even water. B6 helped way better than anything else. Hang in there!

Avatar n tn I was that way with my first pregnancy and now, 6 weeks in, it looks to be the same. I gained about 50lbs with my first and am so determined not to do the same this time. I used Zofran and preggo pops (little hard candies specifically to help with nausea) but didn't give in to using either until later in my pregnancy when the nausea didn't subside. If nothing is working, I've heard Vitamin B6 helps (didn't for me) and exercise as well.
Avatar n tn //www.medhelp.org/pregnancy-health/articles/Nausea-and-Vomiting-During-Pregnancy-Your-Symptoms-Manual/1983 You may also want to check with your OB, since your nausea has happened several days in a row and isn't going away. http://www.medhelp.

5623087 tn?1377889284 I always took a b6 vitamin when I got up my last pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Have u tried taking 50mg vitamin b6 with half a unisom sleep tab? That worked for me with my fb. This time around I'm taking zofran dissolving tabs and the vitamin b6 w/ unisom and get minimal relief. One snack I found that helps when I'm feeling super nauseous is a handful of lays potato chips. Hope u can find some relief, just always remember you are not alone.
Avatar f tn My Dr. prescribed me Unisom with Vitamin B6 for my nausea, but he told me that the Unisom is so I can sleep at night and not wake up throwing up all the time, so I took them and boy did they work. I couldn't take the Unisom and Vitamin B6 during the day because I would pass out lol, so I could only use it at night my Dr had to prescribe me something else to help ease my nausea during the day (Zofran).
Avatar n tn Vitamin B6 every morning might help.
Avatar f tn Cover and let steep for ten minutes. Drink the tea in sips to treat nausea. 4.Vitamin B6. the usual dose is 10 to 25 milligrams three times a day -- to combat the nausea of morning sickness.
Avatar f tn for a lot of women it goes away at about 13 weeks or so, but I am 17+6 and still throwing up at least once a day, my doctor gave me a list of things that are safe that could help. Ginger stuff, saltine crackers, preggo pops, vitamin b6, unisom, mint tea, etc. If it gets to the point that you can't even keep liquids down, tell your doctor because you could become dehydrated. If that's the case, try to drink Gatorade. Hope something works for you hun!
