tussionex

I've tried getting off, but the withdrawls are to much to handle I ratheir die than go through that again, but for some reason I've been taking ambien to sleep and when i wake up i get the wiithdrawls so i thouhgt i dake s little bit of ambien and the withdrawls were gone so am i addictid to tussionex or ambien?
I have been on xanax for a little over 3 years and had withdrawal symptoms when I didn't take it after about 2 years(no this is not common) Tussionex is usually prescribed for 20 days or less and none of my pharmacists have ever seen refills on it until me. I tapered off of lorazepam (ativan) when I was 18 to start ambien. Insomnia and anxiety runs in the women on my mom's side of the family. It started when I was in high school.
well i weaned off of ativan when i was 19 to go on ambien instead. And I weaned off of tussionex and xanax when hubby and i decided to have a baby. Many women don't have the luxury of weaning off xanax as many pregancies are not planned and the stress on the body and to the fetus is typically more risky than getting off of the drug. I'm not currently getting off of either one. I'm taking them as treatment that nothing else has worked for.
I have tapered off of darvocet, codeine, ultram, and hydrocodone at different times for different things if I had to take them daily for a period of time and I tapered off of the tussionex and xanax when my husband and I decided to have a baby. Xanax and hydrocodone can be taken safely during pregnancy if you are monitored carefully by your doctor (which my husband is one) but I wasn't taking anything I did not ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO take while pregnant.
That is one thing while on opiates you must not take medicine that may poteniate the drying effect and cause paraletic ileus. Taking Tussionex drained me tremendously and caused awlful anticholergenic(belladonna alkaloid reactions) side effects. Thanks for the advice but I know all about liquid hydro. FRom liquid lortab-to every hydro containing cough syrup in the PDR. That is one reason that I got the name "doc" because I am very familiar with the PDR(pill poppers digest).LOL!
I didn't go to the doctor until after the 4th week, and he proscribed Tussionex, which is a cough suppressant with hydrocodone in it. Sometime in January, the cough went away, and I stopped taking the Tussionex. The cough started again in the Fall of 2005, and I again took Tussionex for it. It seemed to last longer this time, but went away, and I stopped taking the Tussionex. The cough started again last Fall, but this time it continued.
Ativan came to mind first and of course you might know why the tussionex and xanax stood out to me had you , umm, I don;t know,......READ MY POSTS! (wow I'm really gettin tired already of posting the same info over and over) Anyhow hopefully this will be the last time. If you ask me a question I will answer you accordingly, no one had actually asked what what I had experienced w/d from or what I had weaned off of over a lifetime until yesterday.
I had a pretty bad addiction to hydrocodone and Tussionex for 2 years. I decided in March after some legal troubles to go CT. I was in hell for 10 days and then still didnt feel quite normal for months afterwards. Then I found myself in a situation where I needed emergency surgery and could not avoid pain meds again. So here I am once again CT for the last 3 days after restaring the opiates for 1 month. My W/D are worse this time then before. Can anyone tell me why its worse this time?
I was given Tussionex back in June for bronchial pneumonia and a cough that pulled all my rib muscles. Talk about the pain! I was passing out from it. That stuff was a miracle for sure. I believe it has hydrocodone in some kind of time release suspension. Yeah, I smoked alot of opium when I was living in Europe and it is a different kind of trip for sure. It'll have you crawling the floor like a baby. Almost a halucinogen to be more specific.
Since I have suffered migraine headache since a child, headache sufferage is cruel and unusual punishment as far as I am concerned, and I don't tolerate it well. 25 days ago, I was prescribed xanax time release 1 mg and ambien 10 mg for sleep. I don't want to take any of it, but I have been suffering palpitations and extra heart beats and increased pulse rate for some time. My pulse rate due to (? they don't know yet) registered 177 while I was on my new heart monitor.
I am addicted to Vicodin. I am currently taking between 100 and 150 mg. per day. I started taking it about two years ago after it was prescribed by a dentist and was pretty much using it recreationally on the weekends. I noticed that all day on Monday after a weekend of taking it I was horribly depressed. Needless to say my use escalated and I found more ways to get more pills. I have tried to stop a couple of times before. I went through all of the physical symptoms which were horrible.
I was sleep deprived for a long while and even Ambien did not work. Will I need to ask my doctor to ween me off the Xanax? As far as I know Ativan is the same as Xanax, Julie. I was given that also for panic attacks during a family emergency. I am tired of PILLS. I want my life back. I don't want to depend on anything, not even for sleep. But, the docs don't seem to think that it's bad for sleep for long periods of time. Maybe they have plans to help taper me in the future.
I used xanax when I couldn't stand the WD and ambien to sleep for about 6 months only one at night. I'm clean for almost a year.
You will **** your brains out and get tremors and cravings and hope to die. My emotional energy was gone. I cried and was close to tears most of the time. Had no energy. Legs felt like lead. If you decide to quit get a medical detox or ask you doc for some clonopin to control some of the above symptoms. If not be ready for a week of pure hell. You won't be able to pull it off yourself without some support. AA sounds corny but find a group near you and go. Enough for now.
And I'm wondering if tramadol is stronger, the information I've found on this drug conflicts and I'm just wondering if you could tell me if tramadol would be stronger than the drug i'm currently using and wether it is adictive. And what type of drug is it, the only type of drug which helps my pain are narcotics nothing else does anything.
I didn't sleep for several days, so I took Klonopin every other nite and Ambien on the other nites for the first week. I'm underweight, and thought I would be craving food, especially sweets. Wow, was I wrong! I gagged on anything I tried to eat, and wound up having to drink Ensure to get calories. Finally after day 7, I had to take my prescribed 3 oxy's, as it was shear torture to move across my living room due to the knees and the damp weather here in TX.
