Ok, over the past 3 days I have started to have a sore throat looked in the mirror and saw white patches on my tonsils the right one is kinda swollen and when I swallow it hurts not a stinging hurt but more of a sore hurt. I dont have a fever, I dont feel bad. My throat is just irritable. And the white patches look disgusting. I dont have health insurance and at this moment in time i cant afford to go to the Drs. Can someone help me?
my son of 9 yrs complaint with difficulty in Swallowing , we have observed white patches on tonsils and also in the throat inner area. he is reported with fever, cold, and cough occassionally and feels anemic. he is well vaccinated . what clould be the problem, and how to diagnise it ,. is there any treatment for these symptoms??????
A week later I notice my tonsils were swollen and had some white patches/spots. Consulted my doctor and he prescribed a stronger anti biotic (ampicillin) for which I took the complete dose. Saw no change (still white spots on swollen tonsils,NO PAIN). I further go prescribed augmentin tablets which I swallowed complete dose but nothing has changed.
I am now confused. what the hell could this be.
Anyone had a similar experience, please share.
I have no idea what's going on with my tonsils. Three days ago I started to have a terrible sore throat. I didn't think much about until it didn't go away and it didn't feel quite like a sore throat. For one the pain wasn't where it normally would be. I started to panic when I finally looked in the mirror and saw white spots all over both tonsils. I went to the doctor and they told me I didn't have strep.
My tonsils were really swollen w/white patches on them. I could barely swallow. I was running a fever. I also had an ear ache in my left ear. I ended up going to the health food store and getting silver colloidal. It seems to be working I am feeling better and the swelling has gone down and the white patches are almost gone. My ears still feel a little plugged. I am not 100% better but getting there. I am still rinsing w/salt water and peroxide. Thank You for the info.

I have developed white patches at the back sides of my mouth and also red bumps (in patches) and white bumps randomly. If I put much pressure on the white bumps they pretty much go away. Also, especially in the past few days I have been getting dizzy and light headed. I haven't been feeling like myself. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? Thanks in advance.
I have white spots on one side of my tonsils ( right side) and on the same side the lympnodes is tender to the touch and slightly swollen. No fever, or any other symptoms. Realized yesterday my lympnodes was diffrent and today i noticed the patches because i felt something odd when i swallowed...what could it be?..dnt have insurance at the moment, want to avoid out of pocket if its nothing to worry about.
Enlarged, tender tonsils with white patches in the throat, sore throat noted couple days now gone, no nasal secretions or head ache, one day of joint aches are these something to be concerned about, no fever, symptoms are improving w/ vit c doses. thanks grammie 56

Two days ago, my tonsils began to become swollen with white patches on them. My throat does not burn, I do not have a fever, just uncomfortable to swallow because of the swollen tonsils. The white on my tonsils can be scraped off and is only on the tonsil.
What could this be? Are the bumps on the floor of my mouth connected to what's going on with my tonsils?
I'm actually more concerned with the bumps under my tongue because I think I have tonsilithes.
I am a male, 28 and last week I had oral sex with a woman. Three days after I got one swollen tonsil with slight pain when swallowing and white spots on tonsil. I went to the ER and they tested me for mono and strep. Which came back negative. Now they tested me for STD's and I am still waiting those results but I do not have fever and no pain anymore. However the tonsils have grown and now my right one is affected too.
I have swollen tonsils with white patches on them, swollen lymph nodes in my neck and left ear hurts when I swollow. I that kind of achy I'm sort of sick yuck feeling. Some sinus pressure but very little mucous. No fever. I just got over step about a month and half ago. The white patches have me worried could it really be this again. My 3 kids are getting over a nasty upper respitory infection with very high 104+ fevers and ear infections. They are all on antibiotics now.
My left tonsil is red and really swollen, it doesn´t really have any white patches or it or anything. The right side is also pretty red but not swollen. Most of the pain feels like its coming from behind the tonsil, or way back of the tongue/throat, and i don´t have to be swallowing for it to hurt. Since October 2017 I've had issues with my tonsils. I first noticed I had a foul taste in my mouth, one that no matter how many mints I ate or mint water I drank it was still overwhelmingly there, a nasty sore throat and white patches on my tonsils. Ok so heres what I have been using to combat this. Gargle with salt water, Drink warm water with honey and lemon, Tylenol for pain (actually works for once), had some fluticasone propionate for nasal congestion (stopped working so switched to afrin) and zinc cough drops.
About a week ago however i got sick, and thought i just had an upper respiratory infection with swollen tonsils. Then i noticed white patches all over my mouth, and promptly went to the Dr. who said it looked like a herpetic infection. I told him about my history of genital HSV-1, and he procedeed to do another IgG test. My results came back positive for HSV-1 (not a surprise) and the IgG number was 56. He told me the normal range is 0.0 - 0.
Tonsils that have white spot/s on them is a typically a good indicator that you have an active infection of some kind going on. They can appear with viruses as well as bacterial infections and occasionally with STD's. Are you able to bring up any colored phlegm/sputum when you cough? Do you have an elevated temperature? Do you have any burning/pain in your chest or in your upper back? Do you feel run down and tired?
Okay, so here's the story. For the past month I've had swollen tonsils with white pieces of mucous or whatever and they tend to break off and they're not that great tasting. I've also had horrible breath and a slight sore throat. So i go to the doctor and he tells me it's strep so he gave me an antibiotic. I've known that it's not strep and the doctor was stupid.
