Alright, well I have been worrying lately because I have been feeling lumps in my stomach -- turns out that I have been having a little trouble with the plumbing... I don't understand though because I do eat healthy, I eat strawberries, blueberries and granola in my yogurt. I eat garden salads with spinach, then I eat vegetables and drink tons of water every single day but yet I am still having troble with a bowel movement and it's starting to hurt me... Does anyone have any advice?
Try avoiding ALL dairy. I have found a sudden intolerance to dairy which leads to gas and severe stomach pain. I too have IBS and stress is a major factor. I have found I can control the stomach pain (for the most part) if I avoid stress and stay completely way from the dairy.
at first when i was anxious i felt that gas has been formed in my stomach but now i am anxious only because i am not able to get rid of this gas. i feel that gas ball has been trapped in my stomach and i feel this gas up to my throat and due to this fullness i feel very anxious.
half digested food passed from stomach to interstine/colon and interact with bacteria to ferment gas, sometimes this gas is powerful enough to push thru the stomach splincter and move up the system. veggies are hard to digest. some food is acidic and some are alkaline.
First it is entirely possible to get afib via gas bloat and other stomach and digestive tract disorders. If your stomach and digestive tract is as described then you must have inflamation. All this inflamation and bloat and gas will push up on your diaphram and surrounding areas and cause great discomfort and pain but also can press upon nerves.
Referring to your post regarding A/Fib and bloated stomach/gas, I too have had the same experience. I believe it is a mechanical effect in that the gas inflates the intestine which in turn pushes on the vagus nerve or the bottom of the heart and triggers the A/F episode. The sensation is located under the left rib cage not in the chest. I can also induce A/F by swallowing something very cold on an empty stomach. This freaks out the nerve and the A/F proceeds.
I'm sure they have, but have they done tests for heicobacto pylori, celiac disease, gluten or wheat sensitivity? Which particular bllod tests have they run? What exact area of your stomach hurts and what tyoe of pain- cramping, stabbing, burning, etc? If it is the upper right quadrant it could be more related to the liver or bile ducts. Have they checked that ? I'm guessing that you have been through trials of Aciphex, etc.? Do you still have your gallbladder?
This pain also sometimes spreads across to the other rib. I have tried antacids, gas remedies, pain killers (including codeine), herbal remedies (acidophylus), lactose exclusion, lactase tablets, but nothing helps. My blood tests don't show anything and my doctor thinks the pain will just "go away". I have just recovered from pneumonia (diagnosed 1 month ago) and was on a course of 3 types of (oral) antibiotics. My stomach complaints started a week after I finished the last course.
The blood pressure issues have gotten better (After a tilt-table-test, they confirmed I do not have orthostatic hypotension), I still have the extra heart beats, but not as often, maybe twice a week. I can feel them before they come. It feels like a gas bubble or an empty dull pain in my stomach, then the irregular heart beats start. If I eat something or get up and move around, they go away. It still blows my mind that the medical community will not look into this connection further.
Hi I have pain behind my breastbone and slightly to the left side under my ribs, with excess gas and bloating to my stomach. I have also have heartburn occasionally. This has got progressively worse in the past year since having an endoscopy which found nothing untoward other than inflammation due to excess stomach acid.
But I wanted to ask one question of you all. Just before expelling the gas I have a short sharp pain in lower abdomen that lasts only a short time but there appears to be a build up to the pain. Thanks in advance for responding.
My stomach has stopped being so anxious, and i notice I don't tune in as much on the stomach pain... so its eliminating. It's funny, when we have anxiety, and we have a pain, we seem to think the WORSE.... I happen to keep thinking things are cancer.... ulcer.... liver problems... etc. I think we, (people with anxiety), are worriers. So we never think rationally... we always think irrationally.. A normal person would be like "oh, im having some digestion/stomach issues... big deal...
I am really curious to know if there are any suggested remedies for this condition. As you stated, it is really distracting, and I also find it quite annoying. I do not like the smell of gasoline, and it actually interrupts my attempts to sleep; however, once I am asleep, I sleep well.
a twisting rotation of the stomach (or torsion). This closes both the esophagus and pylorus preventing the dog's stomach from relieving gas by belching; it also blocks the food to advance into the intestines and stops the suffering dog from getting rid of the food by vomiting.
Abdominal pain Gas Bloating Belching Weight loss They began suddenly a little over a year ago, starting with extreme bloating. I have since consulted an internist, a gastroenterologist, a nutritionist, and a couple of naturopaths. I have had the following tests: Blood panel Thyroid Colonscopy Upper GI x-ray Food allergy testing Bacteriology/Parasitology testing There were no significant findings on any of the tests. I have tried colon cleanses and vegetable-oriented, alkaline diets.
I think the sounds are trapped gas or just your body digesting, its normal to have stomach/bowel sounds, but I do it constantly..it is annoying, ppl stare at me in stores..haha.I'm 28 and since the stomach noise started I pretty much stay home, killing my social life. Were you tested for celiac sprue or lactose intolerence?? bacterial overgrowth of small bowel can cause alot of gas, bloating, and loose stools.
I recently suffered alot of the same symptoms as you with the gas, bloating, hearburn, chest pain, stomach ache, and excelerated heart rate. My doctor finally tested me for helicobactor pylori, H pylori for short. It came back positive and I was put on 3,000 mg of antibiotics a day for 14 days. However because of this sickness I have developed anxiety. I am starting to get better now that the only symptoms I currently suffer with are more physical tension and heart rate increase.

The last episode had more intense gas like symptoms. Not intestinal gas but stomach gas. What is this syndrome. Thank you. Lindsay. ___________________ Dear Lindsay, I had not heard the term magenblase previously and consequently had to do some searching. Magenblase is a term used by radiologists to describe a collection of gas in the upper stomach, above the recently ingested barium. I could not find any evidence that it is a syndrome.
Always I was told by several Drs that it was gas and not to worry. My pain started just under the sturnum, and at times would cause back pain. Gallbladder pain isn't always a text book case. I had an ultrasound that came back normal. Then later was sent for a Hida scan with ejection fraction - that came back with my gallbladder only functioning at 15%.
A couple of years ago when I had felt really bad for several weeks I decided in desperation and feeling it was a food thing to try a detox, I found a 30 day one that I thought suited me, to start with (and the book did warn me) I had headache for a couple of days but that then passed, within a week the stomach pain had gone, at the end of 2 weeks i could feel my energy starting to return, I was eating almost non stop fruit, salads, nuts, home made stir fry meals, fish, rice, vegetables, 2 li
Well that last one been here a long before tx. Remedies For Irritable, come here and insert foot. On road flip people off. Shortness of breath....... Sit down appetitie, don't eat sleepless, stay awake brain power, gave up on that one ALONG time ago. Gonna have to ask my wife, either week on week 21 or 22, so really can't complain. Hey jim, glad your back. How did it go at the Doctor last week? Decide on a short bed, or getting an extended cab with a long bed?
Diarhhea and fatigue lasted for about one week however the hives simply won't go away. The gas problem and abdominal pain has also become more severe ever since I took the herbs. The hives would attack day and night spawning on my arms, legs, backs and abdomen. Anti-histamine medicine does help against the hives. I eat relatively healthy foods, whole grain in the morning, rice and alot of vegetables for lunch and dinner. I also exercise and consume large amount of fruits.
Its highly unlikely that is the cause for you, but its the only random stomach pain I have had during my pregnancy. Another thing I'm thinking is that it could be your guts shifting around, maybe your stomach is pressing against something that's causing the pain? If it becomes too bad I would call the doc just to tell them, they might tell you its nothing or they might want to see you, good luck!
When I eat simething I get more gas in stomach which makes me feel breathless and uneasy.I am afraid of doing breakfast as I have acidity and anxiety I will be unable to give my exam easliy.I am taking medicine for allergic rhinitis and for anxiety a psychiatrist has prescribed me medicines but I will take them after exams as I have read on internet they take time to adjust and symptoms can be worst in the beginning.I have three exams left and the last one is on 24/04/2013.
i'm a mouth breather while sleeping and i know that this draws air into my stomach, but the amount of gas/air that comes off my stomach/intestines is truley unbelievable. bloating comes along with this, i have two different sizes of pants due to the bloating. i read that some readers feel that we actually bring air into our systerm through the rapid belching and am really getting the air out that just entered the stomach, i got to say i believe this could be adding to the episodes.
My 17 year old son has had recurrent bouts of stomach pain for the past two years. On our first visit to the doctor, we were told it was just a gas pocket. This so called "gas pocket" would move around, from side to side, and be a visible, protruding lump about the size of a softball. We were told to watch it and basically it was nothing to worry about. Our second visit we were told it was gastritis and he was to take Zantac and to watch spicy, fatty foods.
Hi kc54711, I suggest you go for endoscopy coz this is the best way to know what is happening. Have you done one? I don't have stomach pain but I have very chronic stomach acid that I can always feel burning sensation in my stomach. Anyway, different people, different kind of symptoms. Some people experience chronic stomach pain have not developed stomach cancer.
