Avatar f tn I also probably should have mentioned that we have a family history of stomach cancer and stomach ulcers, which is also what got me to thinking this. My diet, when I do manage to get it down, is good - no worries there. I do not smoke, and drink alcohol occasionally. My specialist told me about an endoscopy but he said he didn't think I needed one, so instead, told me to wait. Do you really think it's worthwhile going back?
Avatar n tn They did tell us that the polyps are not the kind that cause cancer. However he has a family history of cancer, mom dad and brother have all died from cancer. There are so many of the polyps that cover the entire stomach, the surgeon and gastroenterologist both feel it would be to dangerous for his to have the total stomach removed. He is having a hard time eating because not matter how little or how much he feels nausea and full, he is tired all the time and is anemic off and on.

I had sinus infections in between too, which caused me to take many antibiotics. I have a severely sensitive stomach and the antibiotics ruined my stomach. Avatar f tn I'm anemic as well. I have to take iron pills everyday.they smell weird but I guess its all for the best. Also they kinda mess with your stomach so be prepared for that. Although every pregnancy is different so maybe it won't affect you!

And, if anemia would be from gastrointestinal bleeding, than blood would be found in the stool with stool blood test (not necessary that blood would be seen with a naked eye). Tiredness and nausea and weight loss could be from cancer, but **colorectal cancer is extremely rare under age of 40. **Small intestinal lymphoma is also rare for your age.

Blood from hemorrhoids wouldn't mix with the stool to give brick red appearance, so it's more likely this is from diverticula. Those black pieces could also be blood - from the stomach. Such blood is tarry, sticky, so you can check this by yurself, or take it to the laboratory.

Avatar f tn My son has a slow digestive tract. He also will have impaction of feces. It can be painful and problematic. Anemia is a separate issue. But these things are treatable. My son drinks 1 cup of grape juice a day and it keeps it moving. Anemia usually just requires an iron supplement. You've had many tests. Could you have issues like gluten sensitivity?
