425312 tn?1279966179 congrats on your day 20 ! you should be proud of yourself... I'm giggling at your sneezing fit, sorry... since I got clean I can't help but laugh alot... wondering if I'm going slowly nuts or forgetting that I was this way prior to the meds !! I don't think the methadone can get out of your body through sneezing but I can tell you that it's perfectly normal.. I sneezed and sneezed as well and I still have moments of sneezing bouts, so you're not alone Skippy !!!
Avatar f tn I sneezed in threes constantly in the beginning and even now 85 days out, I still have it. I sneeze now in marathon sneezing sessions. I actually feel like I'm having other w/d s/s too right now... : [ Yesterday while my kids and I were trying to watch a movie, I sneezed, on one session 18 times in a row. I've also had a stuffy nose and cannot breathe out of at least one nostril during the nights.
Avatar f tn s the anti-histamine in Nyquil that puts you to sleep anyway, but Nyquil has a lot of other stuff in it that you don't need (be especially careful of the tylenol, since it is the same liver-damaging ingredient in the narcotic pain meds). For the first few nights, I took 1 benadryl before going to bed, and another half-way through the night. However, it may still be difficult to sleep for awhile, but that is normal. Congrats on deciding to quit!
1653969 tn?1390331661 I knowing there are so many different thingss that we go thru during this time, and for awhile after, but was wondering what the worst of the worst was for you. Mine was the anxiety.
2080404 tn?1643113754 The other possibility is that your “abnormal sleep schedule” may alter the length of time you are in bed (asleep or awake) and may even change your breathing pattern during sleep resulting in higher exposure to the allergens in your bedroom (or wherever you are sleeping). The other possibility is that maybe the “abnormal sleep schedule” is a result of your spending more time at work and a greater exposure to allergens at work.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else allergies been kicking them in the butt lately?
Avatar f tn This is nuts! I'm on day 12 today(no methadone) and the last couple of days I have sneezed my head off. I don't have allergies-but I'm sneezing at least 10 times right in a row. Still not sleeping but my body is definitely feeling less achy. The sneezing is easier to deal with than the aches-bring on the tissues!
Avatar f tn Your best bet is to call the doctor and ask what they recommend. They might have some medicine you can use. I was feeling really crappy today and called the doctor and she actually had me go into the hospital for an IV drip because i was extremely dehydrated.
Avatar f tn It all depends on what kind of stuff you're breathing in. Ask your doctor about if it's safe to continue or not. They are concerned about stuff like lead also cat litter boxes.
Avatar n tn Pillows should be kept to the minimum. Lowering the CPAP pressure can help but do not do this without consulting your sleep specialist. Switching over to bilevel pressure or C-Flex may help you too. So ask your specialist about it. Take care!
Avatar n tn Yes, It is possible to get pulled muscle or strain when you suddenly contract your muscle like sneezing, violent coughing, lifting heavy weight, push-ups and so. Muscle needs to relax and it takes some time. Complete rest and heat locally is very helpful. To counter pain, you may take a painkiller and a muscle relaxant with food for couple of days. Gentle massage and steam bath will be soothing. Take care and share your thoughts.
401095 tn?1351391770 My w/ds went on and on and on, I jumped off 2mg of sub after 13 month taper starting with 32mg. I didnt think they were ever going to end and the sleeplesness and tiredness went well over a month, wores w/d I ever went thur.
1444453 tn?1287103137 Even though I am this far out and feeel much better I STILL have a runny nose and sneezing mostly in threes on and off every day. I still sweat at night but not before I fall asleep. So I even though I haven't had a sore throat I would say your runny nose and sneezing is definitely from WD. I have talked to others with the same symptoms coming off oxy even farther out than me. Anyway, hope that helps a little. Congratulations for getting off this evil drug. You will be so glad you did.
1479078 tn?1329363783 gnarly ahhhhh sleep, Whats that?? oh how i miss my sleep. Have probably slept maybe 10 hours in the last 6 days. i feel like a Zombie.
1935851 tn?1332348173 they say sleeping on your left side is best for blood flow and such, but my doctor told me i don't HAVE to sleep like that. She also told me that you can sleep on your back or your belly and the baby will be fine, but most women just can't get comfy that way... and as far as sneezing goes, it's a natural function that you can't avoid. i'm more worried about peeing my pants when i sneeze than if it hurts the baby!
416625 tn?1203288998 All I want to do is sleep and I haven't taken anything to help me sleep. Is this normal? I did go through w/d once before and I never remembe being so tired. I just remember not being able to sleep. I have the chills and sweats so bad and I can't stop sneezing. I do know the chills/sneezing is normal. Thanks...
Avatar f tn For about almost the past week, I seem to go into a sneezing fit every couple of hours or so. Usually its maybe 5-7 sneezes but for the past day its just been sneezing like crazy. There's no other symptom besides the sneezing either. I haven't changed anything about my life, I never get seasonal allergies in the middle of summer, and I've never been allergic to anything so I don't know what could be causing it.
Avatar n tn HI....well your doing really well sleeping for 12 days out ...as for the sneezing it just part of the withdrawal it lasted around 3 weeks for me if i remember right hows your energy?? anyway good to see you posting keep us up to date......
Avatar f tn Ah, there is also instances where a dental problem can cause excessive sneezing. has kitty had his teeth checked lately? The only other option is an obstruction like nasal polyps, that the vet would tell you if removal was necessary.
Avatar f tn My daughter has been having a violent sneeze attack for 2 days. She's allergic to fall trees. She has seen 2 doctors and is on many medications but nothing is working. I have searched the internet and have tried all home remedies. Have tried nasal rinse, Hepa filters, vitamin C, nothing is working. Any other suggestions, she's getting in pain from sneezing so much and can't sleep.
8339276 tn?1400262023 All these continuous sneezing is so annoying.
4341997 tn?1514588688 what's with the sneezing?? i know its from the WD so is the running nose and eyes....but what make the sneezing so bad??? anyone know? i'm in day 3 of WD....
Avatar f tn I agree with you all the sneezing is soooo annoying but I did do some research and from what I gathered the sneezing is from your liver in its quest to go back to its normal as long as the abuse to the liver wasn't to horrible it will forgive you and in that process it makes you sneeze....personally I think it reminds you of the toll it took lol...hang in it gets soooo much better....
7634014 tn?1393585139 Congratulations on day 5 : )
Avatar f tn Are you speaking of the setting for your humidifier, not the pressure of the air, because a person would be in trouble at a pressure setting of 3 as that is not high enough to flush out exhaled air, and probably not enough to splint any airway open. Can you clarify what those 8 and 3 numbers actually represent? It would be helpful. Have you found a natural or maybe even non scented soap? Also, soaking your equipment in a solution of water and white vinegar can rid it of body oils, etc.
