1809287 tn?1316744936 afterwards, i felt somewhat okay, but about two to three days after i started to feel this uncomfortable pain in my lower jaw bone. the pain is felt in my jaw, my throat, my temple, my neck and my ear. i am having constant headaches. the painkillers do help to ease the pain and discomfort throughout the day, but at night it becomes intolerable and extremely uncomfortable, making sleeping quite the chore. i have been in pain for a few days now, and am worried as to what it may be.
Avatar f tn Dentist prescribed amoxicillin n paracetamol 650mg for the pain . Said that tooth extraction will be done only after delivery . But I'm in so much pain even after taking medicines. Is there no safe anesthesia that can be used on me during extraction ?
Avatar f tn I have never had such pain before after a tooth extraction. Why are my gum lines feeling sore. It is no where near the tooth extraction?
Avatar n tn after having a tooth pulled it leaves a hard trama to your jaw and around the area it was pulled from so yes you will be in pain and yes some swelling will happen. I had the same issue after having a bad tooth removed.it took about 2 months for that knot to finally go away, use an ice pack on the side ot where the knot is, it will help sooth the pain. 2 days ago i just had 6 teeth pulled and guess what, i got the knot back again.

481349 tn?1226710487 Or should I see a doctor since the pain is in my ear, jaw, head and a little in my neck? Also, I looked up jaw pain and saw some exercises that can be done to alleviate jaw pain. I did the exercises and the pain in my jaw practically exploded. Also, my jaw feels really fatigued like I have been doing a LOT of chewing when I haven't been really eating any solids because of the pain. Please help.
Avatar f tn I ignore it, because the pain subsided, no swollen jaw and face no tooth ache at all. But after two days I started to feel sick, severe dizziness as if something is eating my energy inside my body, i feel pressure at the back of my head. Extreme fatigue, muscle ache and weakness, GERD, spaced out, balance problem. I can't concentrate, I want to just lie down in our bed and just sleep.
Avatar n tn Have been having severe tooth pain for 6 days. Dr. says is sinus infection affecting teeth. Dentist says tooth has infection around roots, but says roots are in the sinus cavatity. Am taking antibiotics, pain killers (not helping at all!!)Pain has gotten extremely worse. The only thing that stops the excruciating pain is a sip of cold water washed over the teeth. The pain radiates to teeth around it on top and down in the bottom jaw bone.
Avatar n tn I am having diffculties opening my mouth because of the pain and soreness. What I need to know is this normal to have pain in the jaw area after a wisdom tooth extraction? And if so, how long should I expect to experience this pain?

Avatar n tn t stop for about 12 hours after the procedure, and after two days I had severe pain and my jaw next to the extracted tooth got so stiff and my mouth would't open easily. I took ibuprofen for the pain and it worked(400mg for 3times aday), but my jaw is still locked and I can hardly open it to eat. my doctor says that I had "dry socket" it will go away in 2 weeks or so. is it common to have locked jaw as a symptom of dry socket? should I be worried?
Avatar n tn To make a long story short, I have been to doctors 7 times since tooth extraction for aches face, jaw, neck, ears clogging, upper left arm aching, swollen glands under chin, as well as two chest colds, and also diagnosed with sinusitis. I am now on my 5th round of antibotics in 8 months. And each time I finish I feel good for a week or two and the symptoms return.
4922507 tn?1361076248 The tooth taken out was a baby tooth - I have congenitally missing 2nd premolars on my lower jaw. The extraction seems to go straightforward although i needed a double dose of local anaesthetic, as the first lot didnt seem to take even after about 20 mins waiting. all was well at first. However since the extraction I am suffering from insomnia and just recently I have felt a pain increase.
Avatar f tn It makes me feel quite wooly almost, now I am concerned that the infection that was (and possibly still is) in my tooth has something to do with the pain im getting in my jaw because the jaw pain was starting to ease after i had the antibiotics but since iv had the extraction iv got the severe heat and earache and under ear pain like before.
Avatar m tn Three weeks of pain after an extraction is a bit longer than usual. If it was a difficult extraction, generally there is more discomfort cause the surgery is more extensive. Have you gone back to your dentist to see what may be causing your pain? Its a good sign though that the pain has decreased. It sounds like it is healing although its a bit slower than one would like.
5789562 tn?1374459029 So I had a wisdom tooth extraction(32) that was complicated. The tooth had to be broken in order to remove and the nurse had to hold my jaw in place while the dentist struggled to extract the tooth. Its been 5 days already and the swelling, bruising and pain are excruciating. I just finished taking all the antibiotics the dentist prescribed and I still can't eat anything solid. How long should I give it before seeking medical help for the continuing swelling and pain?
