He will not cut down on anything else and I have been trying to get him to take fish oil tablets and men's health vitamins at the very least? I am so nervous about all of this especially since reading about people going cold turkey? what the heck are ZAPS. He will not let me into his head, and tells me not to nag if I bring any of this up!
It won't cure or treat depression but many people do find some improvement when they take a daily vitamin B supplement - also known as brain food. The B vitamins help the body/mind deal with stress and can boost energy levels a little bit. Our bodies don't store this vitamin so its vital you get sufficient from your daily diet but many don't. If you choose to try this buy a 'complex' formula with all the different B's (B1, B2... B6... B12 etc), they work better together.
I am a 24 year old female and I began taking sertraline at the end of August. Therefore, I've been taking it about three months. When I first began taking the medication, I completely lost my appetite, felt dizzy, and just out of it. I literally had to force feed myself which was dreadful, but I know I needed to eat and ate as much as I could for at least every meal so my body wouldn't think I was starving it.
after prolonged periods of quiet upright posture (such as standing in line) after being in a warm environment (such as in hot summer weather, a hot crowded room, a hot shower or bath) immediately after exercise after emotionally stressful events (having blood drawn, being scared or anxious) some individuals get symptoms soon after eating, when blood flow has shifted to the intestinal circulation during the process of digestion We are all susceptible to fainting by activation of the vas
Thanks for your reply. I only take aspirin OTC and vitamins, not at the same time of course. My MD left the practice due to illness. I have seen my new MD once, she is only in the office 3x a week. Other times they put me in with PA's even for urgent care. PA saw me last 2 times. They scheduled me for a heart ultrasound in their office April 13th. that is done by a tech and read by a cardiologist. They put me on Amlodipine 5 mg once daily, so far no bad reactions but no good ones either.
I eventually fell off the daily routine and instead have concentrated on a good diet, taking a wide range of vitamins, minerals, and supplements. I've found that humans have a RIGHT to be depressed many times, but taking drugs to alleviate deppression is crazy. It becomes a vicious cycle that ropes innocent victims in. Weight gain, also. Watching what I eat and making myself exercise releases the endorphins that combat depression, and helps considerably to keep the weight down.
Until he knows for sure whether he is F3 or Cirrhosis, he should avoid red meat, limit sodium, and not take any vitamins with iron. He should eat more veggies and fruits, preferably organic, and try to make sure he is at a good BMI. Keep us posted and let us know what a hepatologist recommends.
a way to feel happy and socialize and talk to girls be be able to go out...I am 27 now and have only been a true addict for the last 18 months or so. Now I cant go out of the house without it because of the withdrawls. I have to plan everything I do ahead of time to make sure I have enough to not get sick while I am out or away or at work. This is harder than anything anyone can possibly imagine unless they have gone through this themself.
thanks nurse girl. what about taking multi-vitamins while on Zoloft? and advice one that?
I take lisinopril hctz20/12.5 mg, simvastin 40 mg, premarin .625 mg, sertraline 50mg, and equate one daily women's proactive vitamins. Why am I so sweaty? Is there anything I can do about it?
i was taking sertraline (zoloft) and didnt find it effective. i stopped taking it and now im trying to shake the last bit of this anxiety stuff off. meds can be good if you are in really deep anxiety though, only use them temproarily (or at least thats what i say) until you can conquer these panic attacks. having scientific reassurance helps a lot. since you've been tested for multiple things and show up fine, be relieved, that's perfect.
Chronic severe diarrhea began with the first one (Zoloft/sertraline) and has continued. It became a little less severe when I was switched to Effexor/venlafaxine, which caused a host of other problems. I have now been off these drugs and back on my original antidepressant, Wellbutrin, for roughly two years and nine months.
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
from the age of 24 to 29 i tried so hard to deal with this, and i will tell you now, it isnt easy at all, for 5 years ive gone through hell tbh.. I tried taking vitamins, and therapy which helped a little.. But i really just wanted to not take anything for it.. But yeh Im 30 now, and i just cracked one time, i went to see my doctor and explained everything to him, he's put me on Sertraline 50 mg (Zoloft) Ive been on them for a month now, they have caused alot of horrible side effects for me..
or was watching the world through a movie projector, instead of through my own eyes and mind. Therefore, I am going to share with you all what *I* know about these phenomena, and hopefully reassure some of you that this is par for the anxiety course...it while irritating, maybe even maddening...it is totally harmless. Derealization and depersonalization are two terms that are sometimes used interchangably. Truth is, they DO vary a little bit in their presentation....
I'm 34 yr old male and have been experiencing various chest and left arm pains for about three months. I've seen a plethora of doctors from cardiologist to internist to GI doc to psychologist. Heart problems have been ruled out by numerous EKG's and stress echo test. GI doc found I have a hiatal hernia/GERD from upper GI and is currently being treated with Nexium. Have also had ultrasound of liver/gall bladder and MRI of abdomen - all normal.
Hi, This could be as simple to treat as gastritis-chest pain could be due to esophagitis, and an infective diarrhoea. A course of anti-biotics with B-complex vitamins should settle the diarrhoea. You could try syrups/gels which aid in digestion and antacid medications for 15 days. If these symptoms have been coming on and off for a few months then you do need to get it avaluated further. Considering that you are on treatment for anxiety, that in itself can lead to the above symptoms.

) Anyway, no medical doctor had ever found this before. He is taking natural herbs and vitamins to try to readjust his adrenal gland. It's too early to tell if this is doing anything, but you may want to look into it for yourself. If you do, let me know. I'd be interested to see. Good luck!

Good proteins, carbohydrates ( complex ones are preferred ), lipids such as Omega-3 and 6, vitamins and minerals intake is essential and it does influence your mood. With today's processed food and general malnutrition it is very hard to keep a healthy and balanced diet this is why supplements should be considered and you can send me a private message if you need information regarding vitamins and supplements.
I have had the Mirena for three years, and my period was normal and fairly light before the Mirena was inserted. I am on 50mg Sertraline daily and my husband is taking no medication. I am also taking prenatal vitamins. This discussion is related to getting pregnant.

I have had long periods clean before and have never experienced anything like this before. After nine months, in desperation i went to the doctor and he has prescribed Sertraline for depression, my symptoms where more physical than mental though. Anayway the Sertraline has not improved anything. I have looked sertraline up on this site and the common side effects are pretty much the same as what i was feeling anyway! So i just wanted to see if anyone has experienced anything similar.
I just happened to find this forum and have been experiencing almost all of your symptoms since January of this year, all on the heels of a very stressful year and the only thing that has made sense to me is that I have been diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue. If you look it up on the internet, you can find a lot of information as well as an in depth questionnaire that can give you an idea if you have adrenal fatigue. The symptoms are weird (including dizziness).
I am already on massive amounts of medication (Sertraline for OCD and depressive episodes, Tramacet and Paracetamol daily for pain, Mebeverine for pain and GIT spasms, vitamins, iron supplements, Urbanol for high anxiety) and now this little pill on top of all that. Basically, since I started it on the 6th of this month, I have not stopped bleeding. Heavier than I am used to.
I have thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed just before Christmas....one month ago. I am still feeling horrible. I am on Synthroid 100, and vitamins, and even Lexapro now...and yet, I am still not feeling any better. I am too tired and achy every day! When am I ever going to feel normal again? Was all of this even worth my time? I have Radiation treatment in April and do not wish to continue any of the treatments unless I start feeling better now. It is just not worth it anymore.
I take my antidepressants but after 15 plus years I feel like I just want to give up! I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!!!! I just want to feel happy and normal and NOT in pain or TIRED! If anyone has any idea of where i can turn for help, please let me know. This is the first time in 20 years of fighting with this that I actually feel like I can't take it anymore, maybe my family will be better off....
I haven't been on a beta blocker since this time last year so the only meds i take are vitamins and i did have a booster shot week before i took it and i also updated my guardasil shot
