I have been experiencing sort of a non-stop full blown panic attack for about 2 weeks. Dr. put me on Lamicatal and Seroquel. The Seroquel knocked me out the first night, but now I need lots more to fall asleep. For the life of me I cannot figure out what started this for me, I mean it is really bad.
I can find nothing in my pharmacology books about ceriquil, so I'm not going to be of much help with your question. (Do you know of another name it goes by?) Hopefully someone else knows about this med and will post to you soon.
The only two things I can think of for you to do would be to discuss this with your doctor or talk to your local pharmacist.
If the Klonopin was working for you, why are you being switched to another med?
Pills/medicines: Seroquel (to improve sleep and treat anxiety) , Lamictal (to avoid abnormal the electrical discharges within the brain)
Alternative therapies: (must be combined with the medicines):
Acupuncture (to improve blood circulation and rebalance the energy),
Osteopath (to unlock blood circulation especially at the abdomen and spine levels)
Anger Management (breath exercises as in yoga just google them, sport like boxing)

Abilify and Geodon are pretty different in terms of pharmacology. Abilify is in a category of its own as a partial dopamine (D2) antagonist. That means that in parts of the brain where the level of dopamine is low it boosts activity and in parts of the brain where the level is high (for instance, where mania and psychosis may be activated) it lowers activity.
However, I did read an article published by the maker of Seroquel acknowledging withdrawal symptoms. If word comes out that Seroquel is physically addicting and causes horrible withdrawals, people probably wouldn't be eager to take it and sales of the drug could drop. i am currently on short term leave from work due to GAD and forms of panic disorder. My main problem was insomnia sleep maintenance. Tried Ambien, Ambien CR and Seroquel. to no avail. saw a sleep specialist and he put me on both seroquel to be taken with Lunesta. it all went downhill from there. to make a long story short, this is when i started having panic attacks.
I just got off Seroquel which I was taking to help with OCD and depression, but also for insomnia. I got off of it because I experience extrapyramidal symptoms which I believe shows I may be more at risk for developing TD though my Dr has told me it is very rare to get TD on the atypical antipsychotics.
Another Dr has now put me on Trazadone for sleep, 100 mg.
Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?
Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?
I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!
I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.
Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.
If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.
My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?
