I was making a water pipe and accidentally Inhaled a small amount of ground up glass. I am experiencing little to no trouble breathing. I often become paranoid and imagine trouble breathing and I have asthma. Should I go to the doctor and what should i tell my parents if i do because i cannot tell them about the water pipe.

I would like to know if inhaled steroids have anything to do with weight gain,or if they make it harder to lose weight.

General advice would include: If you are a smoker - best to quit. If you have an occupation which involves an inhaled substance that may irritate the lung- best to take some precautions.

I was just wondering how long some of you took the ribavirin after your last shot. I'm going to call the Dr. On Monday and ask. But I'm just a little anxious, my last shot is Mon. night. Thank you!

A person using inhaled steroids is safe to be vaccinated. The use of topical or inhaled steroids does not prevent the administration of vaccines. Inhaled steroids have very little systemic absorption. You have already stopped taking the inhaler months back. You can definitely get vaccinated for shingles. Hope you find this information useful. anyone know of a doctor, preferrably in san diego county or southern cali, who isnt married to advair or any of the other inhaled steroids for environmentally caused asthma? do you know of anyone who has had success not using any inhaled steroids? thanks.

t tell they were until this lady literally exhaled the smoke almost in my face as she walked by and I definitely inhaled some second hand smoke -- it was that strong. 2 days ago, I was crying while eating. I inhaled, but didn't realise there was still a piece of meat (chicken) in my mouth. I inhaled it, and it got sucked into my throat. Competent Physicians use steroids only when nothing else will do, then use as little for as short of period of time as possible and educate patients on complications. There are millions of people that owe their sight and their lives to steroids (drops, shots, IV, inhaled, pills).

Hi Shyrl! I think I have what your talking about. It's like your swallowing a lump of something. But mine started before treatment. I've never asked a doctor, but I'm thinking mine is related to acid reflex maybe. I also called my sister about this because we have talked about it before. She has trouble swallowing certain foods because of it. It seems to help if I eat real slow. Maybe it isn't the same but is uncomfortable! Try timing it after you've taken your ribavirin.

So I smoked weed with friend seven days ago.My first time smoking after years. I inhaled like three times but the last drag I was using too much force to inhale and I think the weed was already out. I dont know what substance I inhaled I immediately got insane throat burn and chest back pain including brain numbness until 6 am next morning. I woke up and everything went back to normal. Today, it went back. Not very intense but I can feel it.

I see that inhaled steroids have been recommended by a doctor. I was taking Advair (an inhaled steroid) and it not only seriously affected my health, but made my lung condition worse. In February the FDA warned against this product saying it should only be used when nothing else helps, and, even then, should only be used short-term. I am now on natural anti-inflammatories and mucolytics (mucus thinners) and I have fewer breathing problems and no side effects.

The oral dose is roughly 100 times larger than the inhaled does. That changes a little if you are higher levels of Advair, but then the usual oral dose is bigger than my example as well. Factor in that the medicine in Advair is being inhaled and used directly in your lungs, not being digested and spread through your intire body, the amount of steroid that gets into your system is even less than 1/100th the size as with oral steroids.
