Avatar f tn Sofosbuvir will NOT be available in India next year as far as I know. India has had many issues treating hepatitis C using older treatments and doesn't I believe even had triple therapy that has been available for 2 years in the US and Europe. If approved by the drug regulatory agencies in the US and Europe it will only be available in the US and Europe and I guess Canada in 2014. India and other countries may have to wait many years for the treatment to be available.
Avatar m tn But the I dont see any update in the Roche website or any other pages on this change. With all the problems in the Pharmaceutical world in India, I am not sure if I should go for the drug or not. What should I do? I need to get the injection tomorrow.

Another junior doctor in the same instt once said they may give me this lifelong.

Avatar m tn I looked from your Bio screen, that you live in India. If your Mom is there , too, The Sovaldi should start being available there shortly as Gilead has worked out a deal with a number of Countries to provide the Sovaldi, in generic form, for a reasonable cost (one we here in the US sre not allowed to purchase). So, if it is not available now, it should be shortly. You might want to see if her Doctor knows when it is/will be available.

Avatar m tn A retrospective study was carried on Jun 1st 2001 to Feb 28th 2002 at a tertiary care liver speciality hospital located in south India. The previously enrolled viral hepatitis patient medication records (PMRs) had been perused, out of which 830 patients had taken the combinational drug (chloroquine, intercalating and anti-viral agents) treatment for CHB. These 830 patients were included for our study and called for clinical, biochemical investigations and follow-up.
