Decided to start treatment next week though, bygetting interferon shot every Friday, and I am travelling this Saturday. I have only noticed that Ribavirin capsules that pharmacy gave me for 3 months have expiry of October 2014. If I start taking drugs on 15 August, it means 3 packs of Ribavirin will become expired during my treatment, as I will take them till November 15. Should I request pharmacy to change portion of packs?
Store ribavirin tablets and capsules at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Store ribavirin oral solution in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.

I have been thinking about the Ribavirin we have been ingesting over the many months of treatment and Who has had the Brand products and Who has had the Generic brands?
I had taken the generic brand Zydus for the first 9 months of treatment which had changed from a capsule form to a pill form and the last 3 months with Sandoz in a pill form. It would be interesting to see who has been taking what over the course of treatment.

Doctor told him to take this combination together but now his sovaldi medicine is finished but xolox is still there ( 8 capsules are left) so he should stop using them or he should eat them without sovaldi as it is finished ..
my son was taking godex capsules 4 2caps 2xaday which is supposed to be for 2mos. to take but for financial problem my son did not continue his medication. and i would like to ask if he can continue his medicine continously any time? thank u and god bless !
I don't know how yours works but I was also on TX for 24 weeks. I did my first shot first then did my first week of riba the next 7 days. I did my last shot first then did my last week of riba for the next 7 days. The day of my last shot I had 42 riba capsules left to do. I think you're to do them.

Corneal ulcer has been reported in less than 1% of patients treated with peginterferon alfa-2a alone or in combination with ribavirin tablets. The above study also indicates that lean body weight has an impact on levels in the blood.
I'm in my first week of triple tx with Incivek so my morning dose of RBV is taken with the fatty meal for that. It's the evening dose that I am not taking with a fatty snack because of the difference in the 8 hour /12 hour dosing schedule.
