I have no appetite whatsoever, dry mouth and slight nausea. I have read posts that say to give it time but when you're feeling worse it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Has anyone had a similar experience on Prozac with a positive outcome?

I have researched these medications and the one common oral manifestion is dry mouth. This can certainly cause an increase in the incidence of dental decay and would have an effect on the gingiva(gum tissue). With increased gum inflammation comes an accompanying increase in bone loss. All though it can't be proven, I believe that stress plays an important part in the etiology(cause) of the disease process.

I have switched from prozac to wellbutrin and the first week on 150mg was not that bad with side affects other then bad headaches, pressure in my head, dry mouth for the first few days ect. now its time for me to upper the dose and i'm a bit nervous just like i was the first time i took wellbutrin. my question is, will i experience side affects again or will this be a smoother ride then the first time?

Over the years my doctor has tried various other meds. I have kept a journal, and for some reason all ssnri class drugs make my depression horrifically worse;that is, a sense of dread and panic set in that is dark and horribly foreboding.

Been doing ok on it despite constant dry mouth and some weight loss. Well I just talked to him again and told him I liked it but felt it hard to focus again. He then suggested starting 20 mg three times a day! Am I crazy or is that way to much? I'm thinking of doing 15 in the morning then 10 the other two times. Any advice? Oh yeah I was 20 mg of prozac but now he wants me to do 25mg of seroquel and 10mg of prozac. I don't want to be addicated or overdose. Any advide would be great.

I've been taking Nexium 40 mg. for about 4 years with no side effects. I was recently switched by my doctor to the generic brand Esomprazole Magnesium & have a very dry mouth. Is it possible it is from the generic med?

I have had dry mouth thru out my whole pregnancy. Some things I find that help is using this mouth wash that is reccomended to diabetics my dad uses it anyways it was in cupboard at home so I use it now and it really helps . the mouth wash is called biotene you can get toothpaste too . I didn't find the tooth paste worked as good as the mouth wash. It is alot more expensive then regular mouthwash but it helps.

t help I would stich my toothpaste with one for dry mouth as well at my mouth wash. They have some for dry mouth. Also I read that cutting back on sugars latter in the day seems to help. A article also talked about chewing sugar free gum before bed or a super free candy to stimulate saliva.

HELLO, I am 13 weeks and last 3days have had severe dry mouth, I drink tons(gallons) of water a day, but it won't seem to go away. And suggestions on what to do and why I'm having this problem!??

For dry mouth I am using grocery/pharmacy Biotene toothpaste and mouth rinse and it is working wonders , filled with enzymes to lube you during the night. It is safe to swallow, follow the instructions.

My problem is that for the last three days I have been experiencing extremly dry mouth. I am not on any kind of medication and my period started two days after the problem started, is it due to my periods? I should state here that I havenot experienced any thing of this kind before. Thank you.

I have noticed that when I wake up at night to go pee my mouth is so dry that I need to drink water and wear lip balm and when I wake up in the mornings its the same its so annoying it never happened before is this a pregnancy symptom??
