Good vs. Bad Carbohydrates Carbohydrates can be either simple (sometimes labelled "bad") or complex (labelled as "good") based on their chemical makeup and what your body does with them. Complex carbohydrates (good), like whole grains and legumes, contain longer chains of sugar molecules which basically means it takes more time for the body to break them down and use. This, in turn, provides you with a more even amount of energy.
It is the processed sugars and fats within them that make your tummy grow. Processed carbohydrates like white bread and pasta don’t fill you up as much as unprocessed carbs like brown bread or whole wheat pasta, so you tend to eat more than a healthy serving. With Wu Yi Oolong Tea working it’s magic in your system, you won’t have to worry about counting carbs!
Foods that can increase stress levels in students include those that are high in fat, caffeine, sugar and refined carbohydrates, which is the case with many types of convenience, processed and fast foods. Examples of stress-inducing foods are sodas, energy drinks, donuts, candy bars, processed snack foods, white bread, and French fries. A healthy diet that helps to reduce stress includes foods that are low in fat and high in fiber and complex carbohydrates.
Tryptophan supplements tend to diminish the desire for carbohydrates. And since most overweight people seem to favor sweet, processed carbohydrate foods, it may be helpful in weight loss. Phenylalanine suppresses the appetite by increasing the production of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. Amphetamines, or diet pills, work in much the same way, but, unlike amphetamines, phenylalanine does not cause a depressive crash when it is stopped.

They are foods that have not been processed or altered by people or machines.
Anything fried is bad fat. Most margarines are bad fat (they have hydrogenated oil in them). Most processed foods contain hydrogenated oil (look at the labels on breads and crackers, etc.). As far as meat and protein, that really depends on the condition of the liver. A cirrhotic liver handles protein much less efficiently than a liver with mild fibrosis. However, the body needs protein to rebuild and regenerate, so one needs to achieve a balance. Eggs are a good source of protein (cage free).

But at age 13 I needed surgery anyways. I've lived my life extremely healthfully, I only eat whole foods and never touch processed food and still ended up getting more then one autoimmune disease in my mid 20's. (by the way i do not use hormonal birth control). The harsh truth is that it is NOT known what causes these diseases. There is a genetic factor, and it is unclear if any environmental factors are contributers.
ALL disease begins in the digestive tract, which in turn creates the parody of all other illnesses. High processed carbs are BAD BAD BAD for your health and your waistline. Fresh meats, vegetables and fruits are all good for you. If it has ingredients you cannot pronounce don't eat it. Low carb IS healthy, as long as you control your saturated fat intake. Too much and you are back to being unhealthy. Fat does NOT make you fat, carbs do!
One doctor told me that this is food related and since then I was very carefully watching what may cause this at least for me. In my case if I eat too much of processed food, food which contains a lot of preservatives, chemicals and dyes, and pickled food. To accomplish the first goal, pregnant women need to consume an optimal ratio of carbohydrates to protein. To accomplish the second, they need to take ultra – refined EPA / DHA fish oil concentrate supplements. Thus, the best diet to accomplish both goals and also provide adequate levels of DHA is one following my dietary recommendations. If you are pregnant you should be consuming extra calories beyond a typical woman’s nutritional needs—on the order of about 300 calories more a day.
Each juice box and extra snack (that I didn't otherwise want) were examples of feeding my insulin. I think this is most common with long-acting insulins that have a peak, like Lente or NPH. My suspicion is that Lantus, which has little, if any peak, is less likely to require feeding. Do either of these suggestions seem like fruitful paths to look into? As a final note, does this "junk in the trunk" look at all like similar body characteristics in adult family members? Parents?
Regarding the amount of gas, i realised that the amount of processed carbs i ate was directly related to the amount of gas i needed to release. That is why when it comes to carbohydrates i try to stick to whole grains (whole oatmeal helped me best), legumes (mainly well cooked lentils mixed with rice) and some fruit and avoid the rest. The free book "the full plate diet" helped me a lot regarding what to eat.
Additionally, there are a great many examples of studies involving the IV administration of alpha lipoic acid on pubmed with very positive outcomes, including Insulin Resistance, Diabetic Neuropathies, etc, etc. I am looking forward to see more of the pubmed articles that you claim validate your theories.

I have also changed some of my eating habits, but unfortunately, I am having a hard time giving up the carbohydrates. I do not have diabetes but I do have metabolic syndrome with a pre-diabetes prevention. The main issue is the fact that my appetite has been greatly reduced. I just am not hungry all the time. Whether it's from the pills or the reduction of insulin into my body --- I like it. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm looking good sista'!!!!
It's written by a doctor (and I'm no fan of most doctors) and he gives an absolutely fantastic account of how your body works and how modern day diets impact the toxicity. In reading the book, I came across several examples that seem to address why my skin suddenly decided to start breaking out. The book also gives clear details on how to detox your body and how important diet is.
