My 20 y.o..son has been dx with this. He has had several freezing treatments to remove them. He has seen a decrease in the formation of the bumps, but i am worried that he will have another "flare up" when he returns to college. he was very run down during the last semester (he had pneumonia) and i wonder how much that had to do with him getting this disease.

I was diagnosed with pneumonia 6 weeks ago. I was on oral antibiotics for 2 days, then admitted with an IV drip for 3 days (levifloxacin, as I'm allergic to penicillin-based drugs) then given a 5 day course of oral clarithromyacin. Would carinii pneumonia present itself with just a minor cough and congestion and no fever, no rash or other symptoms. In other words is this type of pneumonia something that is more severe? yes being always cold is the real indication to have a chronic infection. Yes it is passed from person to person as it is contagious. The pneumonia I have is NOT through a tick bite. Mycoplasma can be transmitted by insects but also not necessarily.
It’s difficult to predict what the prognosis will be, as this will depend on the severity of pneumonia, his present immunity status and the other co morbid conditions like diabetes.
