painful lump behind neck

I forgot about it until yesterday when I was showering washing behind the ears with soap when I felt two more lumps (that are not painful) behind the ear on the neck area. I am Hypothyroid and last year I was experiencing throbbing in the ear. They ran tests and found I have a very small lump on my thyroid not to be alarmed too small for biopsy. For the past 8 months or so I have been experiencing pain in the ear when I sleep on that side.

My 2 year old daughter has a hard lump behind her ear that is not painful to touch. I'm scared that it may be something bad. Has anyone else had this experience and did it turn out to be okay???

As to the swelling I feel that its to the lump behind my hear that is causing my jaw muscle and neck muscle to swell, as a defense to the lump behind my ear. I am also feeling numbness in my L. side of my face, lip and arm which she said is a nuero issue. She ordered a CT of my neck to check what she diagnosed me with to see what is the cause of my swollen shoulder. P.S.

Over the last month a have a lump behind my ear, it's been growing a lot every week. It's now about the size of my ear lobe. It's right behind the lobe where jawbone crease is. It's sore but not painful at all an it's firm but seems kinda soft on top. Basically it's not soft or hard.. Kinda medium. I have had this lump behind my right ear for the last 2-3 weeks. It doesn't seem like it is really hard nor soft. But my worry is that...ever since I had this lump,I also have been getting a striking pain in the right side of my head. My boyfriend developed a lump behind his right ear that hurts when touched. So about 5 days to a week ago I noticed a small hard lump just behind my ear on my head. It isn’t painful as such but when I press the the lower left side I experience a slight amount of pain. There is now a small bump located directly under my ear, behind my earlobe on my neck inbetween my jaw line and the large muscle on the right side of my neck, that little soft spot or pocket inbetween the skull and jaw.... Have a hard lump behind my right ear.

My son had a lump behind his ear (he's 30 ) but it still scared me. After taking all the meds from a Dr and still there he finally went to a Dentist and lump was caused from a tooth. Dentist gave him more meds treated the tooth and lump went away. You might want to get it checked out just to be sure it not from a tooth.

On top of this, I discovered today that the lump behind my areola had increased to the size of a ping-pong ball and was very painful as well. I was feeling my absolute worst when I discovered the much larger lump in my breast. As far as i know, there isn't any family history of breast cancer and the only cancer I know of was my father, who battled benign brain tumors (at first) which were operated on twice and on the third time, the tumors had become cancerous.

I developed a small hard lump behind my left ear almost 12 years ago. At the time we went to the doctors and they told me it was just a cyst and to come back if it got larger and or painful. Fast forward to now and the lump is now quarter size and is so large it makes my glasses crooked on my face.
