painful contractions before labor

How did you mommies feel before you went into labor?

How did you mamas feel right before labor? I've been having around two contractions an hour but my water is still intact, I am not dialated, and he hasn't dropped.I had my dialation checked two nights ago so that might've changed.

For those of you that have already had a baby did you get sick before going into labor? I've been sick all day extremely nauseous was having regular contractions earlier but never got close enough together to go to hospital and then they went away.

I'm 37 weeks and I think I'm getting a cold, it's to near my due date and I'm freaking out! I don't wanna be sick during labor or to meet my little man. Any advice how to get better before it gets worse?

I'm 39 weeks and have yet to feel one painful contraction, I'm really nervous that I'm not going to know when I'm in labor since I haven't felt anything painful yet, I don't even know what contractions are supposed to feel like other than the tightening I feel from Braxton Hicks. Can yu ladies tell me what your first contractions felt like before labor? And how far along were yu when yu delivered. Im 34 weeks. Nd getting very nervous about this whole delivery ordeal.

I am 33+3, and for the last 4 days I am being woken up every morning with very painful contractions. They last a cpl mins and then go away. I will get a cpl more throughout the morn but they are very irregular and seem to mostly be at the beginning of the day. Since they weren't regular I wasnt really concerned. Well now I am getting them more through the day but still maybe only 1 or 2 an hr. They do feel stronger though.

Yes, not all contractions are painful. They only get painful when you're in active labor and its progressing.

Hm have you tried to google signs of labor? I know my contractions were not painful at all.

My first baby I calculated my due date myself and it was a week before my due date the drs gave me (had contractions 2 days after my calculated due date) but the drs sent me home saying my contractions werent strong enough and they waited 3 weeks after the due date I calculated to induce me. I was in labor for 15 hours and wouldnt dialate past 8cm, his heart rate kept dropping and I ended up needing a csection for my 9lb 4oz baby boy. This time they told me I am a cantadate for a vback.

I had false labor the day before yesterday, my contractions were 15 min apart some painful some not and then they stopped when i went to bed, i had an appointment yesterday with my doctor and asked her. Im ftm. She said that real contractions are very painful to where you can barely talk through them, the closer they get the more painful they are... Some of them may be painless but for the most part they will all be painful.

I have braxton hicks contractions every 5 mins. None are painful, should I be concerned and call my doctor. Can u be in active labor with bh contractions?

they will get closer and you will know! I started to experience contractions 2 days before I went into labor....at first they were 15- 20 min apart...then 5-10 min, apart and then finally they were 2-3 min apart. Took 3 days for active labor to start for me. I was 38w 1d when I gave birth. Could be soon for you! If you are up to it....go for a walk..that will encourage things to move along!

Drink more water!! Drink atleast 2 bottles back to back before considering it's labor.

I keep having contractions about 5-10 min apart but they are not to painful they are stronger the the bh ones I was having not sure if I should call to go in or wait and see if they get stronger

-) of course if they become painful and start to be able to time them and become more like contractions then time for an hr if 3-5 mins apart go to l&d :-) but if they are coming and going then most likely false labor.

Had anyone ever had a labor that just wasn't very painful? Like, the contractions never became unbearable or anything? Or have you ever heard of someone who just didn't feel much pain while in labor?

My stomach is getting super tight and a little painful. . Is this mild contractions? I Am 39 weeks and 2 days and I really hope that they are! And I hope if they are it leads to something!

m a little confused, am I supposed to be feeling any painful contractions in the weeks before labor? I always just figured if I started having painful contractions I was going into labor.

My mom finally came over and felt my belly for a while and said I definitely was having contractions. I never through my whole 24 hour labor felt contractions anywhere except my lower back. Labor can and fits feel different for everyone. Ask your Dr about all the different ways you can tell you are in labor.
