Avatar f tn Will taking laxitive really help me go into labor? Ive been having contractions all day, but they've been irregular. I was told taking a laxitive will help to bring me into full blown labor. Im dilated to a 2, 80% effaced as of thursday, but it could have opened up more. Any opinions or experiences taking a laxitve to help?
Avatar f tn So my due date is tomorrow. I've been getting cramps the last couple days since I got my membranes sweeped on Friday. Anyways since this afternoon I've noticed my cramps coming more often. I had some friends over so I didnt start timing them until a little while ago. I started timing at 9:46 then the next at 10:26 & now the third at 10:56. Could I be going into labor.
Avatar f tn That isn't what happened to me, but early contractions are quite common. It's good they got them to stop. If your water breaks, you should definitely plan on having your baby early, but as of now, no one can really answer that. The good news is that your baby has a very high survival rate at this point in your pregnancy.

9419580 tn?1405628202 Does anyone remember how they felt right before they went into labor? I feel no different and that this baby is never coming. Did anyone else feel like it's never going to happen then it actually did happen? I am 3 days away from my due date and it's my second child. I haven't lost my mucus plug or anything.
Avatar f tn I have a scheduled c section the 19th too. It's a repeat bc my 1st pregnancy was preeclampsia. I am also nervous about going into labor before it's nice to know I'm not alone. I have been having braxton hicks my entire belly gets hard and dull pain like a wave over my lower abdomen (I confirmed with my dr) they go away if I change positions. God Bless u all wish u all the best hopefully everything goes as schedule for us all.

4842016 tn?1372039067 30am with contractions every 25 min. By 2pm, I was having contractions every minute-3 minutes. It kind of came out of nowhere.
2207301 tn?1340990867 Maybe just take it easy and rest with no crazy physical activity until you go to your moms just to lessen your chances of going into labor before 37 weeks.
Avatar f tn I was in so much pain when they induced me but was still begging them for something to eat and they told me no eating during labor can cause vomiting. With my 1st I had no appetite before I went into labor but I do know that hospital allows nothing but ice chips because food and drink can cause vomiting. The 2nd didn't even allow ice chips. I'm waiting to see what this hospital allows. Found out Friday triage will let you have anything you want to drink even soda but no food.
Avatar f tn I want to hear about your labor stories. What happened before you went into labor? Did your water break, bad contractions, bad back pain etc? How long did the symptoms last before you actually went into the hospital? Did you do anything crazy or different that day to bring on labor? Tell me your stories! I'm sure other FTM would love to hear them as well!
Avatar f tn What were some of your guys signs or symptoms you had before you went into labor?
1666434 tn?1325262350 I had a backache the day before everytime I was going into labor. My water never broke for any and I didn't lose my mucus plug until I was in the hospital. I knew once I starting having back pain that it was going to happen within a day or two!
