The pain in my neck has gotten worse, I can not turn my head in either direction. the pain goes down both arms but my left arm can not raise up past my shoulder. My wrists and thumbs are very painful to use too. I also have pain in my bones in my chest area around to the side. The only time I'm somewhat comfortable is laying flat on my back and being totaly still. I cant turn on the water faucet, brush my hair or teeth and certainly cant get dressed.
I keep having a sharp pain that runs down the BACK of my left arm. I went to my doctor and he gave me a EKG and a stress test and everything came back normal. He said, he had no idea what was causing this pain. I don't have it all the time, it comes and goes. I could be sitting watching TV and get it. I even got it while I was having the EKG and nothing showed up. Any ideas what could be causing this pain ? When I first got it I thought I was having a heart attack, but the doctor said, no.
After going to therapy my pain began to worsen and hurt in the back of my neck next to my spinal cord which then had pain radiating down my left arm and left chest. If I barely touch that area on my neck I cause the pain to become very sharp in those affected areas, the pain in my neck is unbearable and feels almost like bone on bone rubbing. I was wondering if this was a possible pinch nerve, cervical slipped disc or just a muscle sprain?
After all this time I get pain in my neck and left shoulder, to numbness all the way down my left arm and fingers. Just in the last few weeks to a month I have been getting numbness in my right arm and fingers though no real pain in my right shoulder. I am also having weekness in my shoulders, like I can not keep my arms up to long to do anything before I have to put them down again. I have done physical therapy, steroids in my muscle neither helped nor worked.
I have had constant pain in my left shoulder radiating down arm into my thumb and next two fingers. This feeling is like a throbbing sensation, really deep dull pain then into pins and needle in the fingers. I am taking Mobic in the morning and Codalgin every 4 hrs to relieve the pain. It is significantly worse at night while I am try to sleep. I have had it for 2 months. Chiropractic treatment worked for a while (entrapped nerves in the scalene muscle).
Starting this past weekend, I've been experiencing sharp pounding pain right behind my left ear running down my neck into my left arm. When this was happening I had a hard time with my vision, along with coherency. I don't want to see my PA, I do not believe she will do anything to help me. The unfortuante part is that I am in the military and have to go through certain obstacles to even see a real MD instead of a PA. I'm I being a hypercondriac? Is this all just an illusion in my head?

The beating is a lot harder and faster than usual. With that, the left arm (from the area right below my ear down to my elbow) feels like it has a bunch of electricity running through it. It doesn't necessarily burn but it is painful. It'll last for about 10 seconds, stop for a few seconds, and start again. While all of this is happening I find it hard to move and my head is very heavy. After this goes on for about 5 minutes, it'll stop, I'll be able to move again, but I'll be dizzy.

Hi, I am currently suffering with this terrible neck pain that radiates down my left arm and causes pins and needles in my hand. I have had this same condition for a good 15 years. It started as a teenager and comes and goes. When the pain is really bad I am in agony. Also when I breath in and out I get a shooting pain down my arm. When it is causing me problems I can't move, drive or do anything so that is why I haven't been to the GP about it.
I have had constant aching on my neck, left upper arm and tingling all the way down to my fingers. In 1996 I was told I had a bulging C-5 disk and the options were either surgery or non-invasive treatment. Needless to say I chose the latter and for the last 12 years accupuncture has helped me alleviate the pain and live confortably. Now it has come back and even with some accupuncture it has not eased.
About a month ago I began having excruciating pain in my left breast with swelling and itching. The pain radiated into my arm pit and down my arm. Then I began to have pain in my neck and found many swollen nodules under my jaw bone and one, somewhat large nodule, just above my collar bone. After a mammogram and US, they found a 2cm highly dense mass at 1 o'clock. Highly suspcious of malignancy. I had a FNA and a US guide core biopsy.

What could be the cause of pain on the left side of neck going down my left shoulder into my inner arm and sometimes in my left hip? The pain can be felt the most when I move a certain way or reach to get something. At night time it is most bothersome, as it seems to be more painful. This pain started about three weeks ago and at the same time I started jogging, I am wondering if it has anything to do with it. But when I am jogging, I don't feel any symptoms at all.
You could have a possible pinched nerve due to a inflammed disk in your neck that could cause the pain to run down your arm like so. Best way to get an answer is see an Orthopedic immediately!!! Not only will they get you the answers you need but will stop your pain!

I had a gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago, since then, I have been experiencing a sharp pain on my left arm that goes to my neck all the way down to my hand. the pain comes and goes. I take pills like tylenol for the pain but they do nothing. When I take Tafil, the pain kind of goes away. Is this pain physical or is it due to stressful situations??
Hi. I am a 62 year old male. I deleloped neck, shoulder and arm pain about 2 weeks ago. I lifted a couple of 60 lb bags of cement mix so I think that's was the cause. the pain seems to be lasting a long time now, over 2 weeks. it's painful to turn my head to the right or stretch my neck from side to side. the pain seems to be in the area of the trap muscle and is also in the shoulder and move down the arm.
I have had pain in my neck right shoulder and arm with weakness and numbness and tingling in my hand. Ive had an MRI and these are the findings. From C4 down to C7 multi-level degenerative disc disease is present with multi-level posterior disc protusions with accompanying osteophyte formation which results in bilateral foraminal narrowing and indentation of the thecal sac at the disc levels from C4 down to C7.
I have been having pain running down my left arm, for a couple of months now and when I also have this pain it goes into the back of my neck and feels like I have heart burn. My elbow kills but most of all the burning sensation on heart burn. It is very strange and I can't seem to figure out what is going on. When I told my dr. she told me I had tennis elbow. But it still doesn't seem to answer the question of why I have the heart burn feel and the tention in my neck and shoulder.
