Do you have history of ovarian cysts? Mine sometimes hurt and sometimes rupture when I run. It is a very bizarre sensation when they rupture on a run. I am usually over come by a sense of "grossness," and horrible pain. But then again constipation could be an issue as well. ?? Hope you feel better! Congrats on your son and healthy lifestyle!

I wanted to reply b/c I could really related to your question. I am 29 years old (with no cancer in my family at all), and I had fluid-filled cysts on my L ovary for a few years. The pain got worse, and I was recently diagnosed with a solid mass/neoplasm on the same ovary. The pain for me was not constant...it was definitely worse in the middle of the month, and just before my period.
HI, Pain in the lower abdomen can be due to ovarian cysts, PCOS, and if there is any pelvic infection. However as the pain is coming only on exertion, it can also be a muscle pull or spasm. You should consult your Doctor for an examination. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
I gained 30 lbs in 3 months and I was only eating about 1300 - 1400 calories per day and jogging 5 miles per day / 5 days a week. I knew something was wrong. I hope this weight will come off b/c I have always been active and did not have a weight issue before this. I hope this helps! If you have any questions you can e-mail me here I think offline! Best of luck to you! :-) Let us know on here how it goes!!
) - Anyway I have been jogging 4 miles 3x/week + 1 hour of weights at the gym and have a trainer. - I can't lose any weight! I fluctuate between a loss of 1-2 lbs but thats it....The workouts have reduced my cholest. and my Thyroid is norm. - my mean blood glucose is 101.
When it did get really bad it was because of ovarian cysts. A small cyst normally forms after ovulation and gets reabsorbed. In some women, it doesn't go down, or goes down very slowly. Another consideration would be endometriosis. I think it's time you paid a visit to your gynecologist at any rate.
Will definitely pressure my gyno for an ultrasound. I've had fibroids and cysts, but no one ever connected either to the pain.
I took Geritol for about 3 weeks as well as my husband, then i thought i was pregnant and switched over to prenatal pills, and sure enough i was! Im currently 7 weeks pregnant. Good luck to you!! My pregnancy isnt going so well though(not geritol related) but hopefully yours will be better!!
I had a death in the family. She has been fighting pancreatis and ovarian cancr for 27 months and lost her battle Thursday evening.
Can uterine fibroids and/or ovarian cysts cause sciatica-like symptoms? I've had burning/stinging/stabbing pain in both glutes, hamstrings, calves and feet for 6 years. I've tried everything under the sun to get rid of the pain (long-term physical therapy, steroid injections into L4-L5 disc and piriformis muscle, yoga, deep tissue massage, rolfing, acupuncture, etc) but nothing has helped.
And nothing seems to help. I've tried aspri - doesn't work. I try massaging my breast and shoulders and that seems to help a tiny bit. Usually the pain is very dull...but one night I woke up in excruciating pain for about 10 seconds, then it went back to being dull. I'm 24, and I am being treated for Anxiety/Panic Disorder. My Psychiatrist does not think it's related. Does ANYONE have ANY ideas about what could be going on with me?!?!?!
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
CT scan showed free fluid in my abdomen, but they said more than likely it was a broken ovarian cyst and it will re-absorb in the system. I have a history of Ovarian cysts and endometriosis, so it doesn't phase me. However, the feelings/symptoms I've been having are very different. I think I've had every test imaginable EXCEPT the CA-125. I visited my GYN a month ago to ask him to rule out anything female.
Next, I went in for an ultrasound and vaginal probe. They came back later to tell me that I had an ovarian cyst on my left side and it had burst. That was the pain I felt the night before. I am on Naproxen and 1/2 a pill of Levison every 12 hrs. It seems to be working.
1 Uterine enlargement with changes compatible with uterine fibroids.2. Bilateral ovarian cysts, larger and more numerous on the right. In the ultrasound results, she said , "Uterus is retroflexed with multiple fibroids noted. The largest measures 60x60mm.....The endometrium is not clearly visible, Lt. Ovary non vis. Right ovary has possible noted rt adnexal and around the ovary. This is hard to clearly define." I do not know if I will submit to this hysterectomy..
my ca125 was 21 and its a complex ovarian cyst and its in the middle of my ovary 3.
I have gained a total of 80lbs and still going steady unfortunately...and I don't eat bad at all. I'm now up to 205lbs vs the 125lbs I was in April of 2007. My numbers at last months check were fine, but I'm still gaining weight. Lately I have been nauseated constantly, like a sick feeling maybe too much acid in my stomach, its only if I have to get up in the morning and it goes away after I take a nap.
Went to another urologists and he did a CT and cystoscope. found ovarian cysts, but no sign of IC. Went to gyno. and he did a laporotomy and removed the cysts and alot of adhesions. Thought this would get rid of vaginal pain. It came back 2 weeks after surgery. It has been getting worse. I am seeing a urogyno in HOuston and pysical therapy. I am on lyrica and it is not helpng. The therapy is not helping either. Im really tired of all this pain. Its consuming my life. .
You are like me and you have endo and the gas and bloating can be symptoms of your endo. In any case as I mentioned I have the same symptoms and I am almost six weeks after my laparotomy for removal of my endo and my two chocolate cysts.
For me, intense stress increased the cortisol which killed my metabolism and increased my emotional eating and red wine drinking. I required surgery for ovarian cysts back in June and having the 6 weeks off really helped me to destress and focus on me. I started my journey while off and took advantage of my lower appetite. I have lost 18 lbs. and know that this time it will stay off as I have changed my habits, not just gone on a diet.
Have a read of MarieMicheles profile surgery section- it's really detailed and answered a lot of my questions. I've been recently buying more pjs and nice big comfy jogging pants to lay around the house in after surgery- I've also been making and freezing food as my hubby is not the best of cooks and I'm sure I wont be able to much after the surgery for a while! Try not to stress about it too much- just think about how much better you will feel once its all over.
It's going to be ok.
Please check your mineral balance as, if you are low in Potassium/Magnesium you get cramps. Also have a balanced diet and have sometimes fresh fruit juice after the work out and it helps as it has the required minerals and vitamins. Try to control and do the exercise which suits you and all types of exercises may not be suitable to everyone. Always think and try to find out better avenues of exercise which do not exert you but allows you to lose calories . Take care!
So, I was able to make my decision based on soooo much more info. When I do have my little baby and he/she is all grown up and wants to know more about his/her bio dad, I will have an exstensive resource to share from. So, the moral of this is, at the time BFN's yes DEVESTATING! But, God/ or whatever "lifesource" you subscribe to, knows so much more than we do and in the end things will turn out better than imagined.
I researched ammenorrhea and ovarian cancer and my symptoms dont match up. I dont have an obgyn or a doctor. I dont know what to do. My boobs are tender, but i really dont have anything like moods swings or food cravings. Its comforting to know that im not the only one who is going through this, but i would still just like to be normal again. If anyone can help, please do so.
Did you get any medical diagnosis yet? I gained 22 pounds in 4 days and we have ruled out failing kidneys and heart problems and my doctor is clueless.
Neosporin with pain relief helps quite a bit. I too had endometriosis prior to my hysterectomy and ovarian cysts, but I have no idea if there is a correlation. I can tell you that many of my family members suffer from cysts (both men and women) and my mom was able to alleviate a lot of it by using perfume/dye free soaps for showering and washing her clothes. She also quite wearing perfume.

I'm 43 years old, I had a complete hysterectomy (minus cervix) in Dec '07, due to Ovarian cancer, and had undergo 5 months of chemotherapy. You'd think, I would have loss weight during chemo, but no way, I gained. I completed chemo a little over a month ago, and I've been working out and eating healthy, only 1200 calories a day, plus 1 hour of intensive exercise. I lost 8 lbs in the first week, yet doing the exact same thing, gained it all back the next, plus a pound.
