omeprazole with aspirin

I tried taking aspirin with it and it caused me to have internal bleeding, so of course it was discontinued. Now I would only take aspirin if I felt that I was having another heart attack. The latest precaution about Plavix is to not take omeprazole with it (Prilosec, Prevacid or Nexium). Hope that helps, but you really need a cardiologist.

Data clearly shows taking aspirin/plavix along with acid reflux medication is causing a higher death rate. The cause is unknown as yet. So, I would advise anyone due for angioplasty to discuss with their gp stopping any acid reflux meds currently being taken.

I was also on Omeprazole with Plavix both times. My Doc said the evidence is weak, and if it does reduce the effects of plavix, then it's only slight. Until more conclusive studies are done, who knows.

After doing a gastroscopy ive been diagnosed with gastritis. h pylori tests came back negative. Ive also done a colonoscopy and ct. Ive been given Omeprazole which helps me sleep since it stops the bloating. The doctor doeant know what caused the gastritis (not taking pills /alcohol). I have a few questions: Does the gastritis itself cause bloating, or high levels of acid which cause gastritis(Im trying to understand if what caused the gastritis is still there since I dont know what that is).

My dad has had congestive heart failure for the last 10 years. In 2001 he had a quintuple bypass at 73 yrs old. 2 months ago he was admitted to the hospital for fluid retention. Hi. I'm on my 12th week. I've been diagnosed before with GERD. Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?

Hi, I have been feeling the same way for 3 days now. Gas pains, bloated, pain with BM. Blood and mucus in stool. Headache, At first I wondered if it was bad turkey. But nobody else who ate it got sick, Then I wondered if it was a new med Levaquin I started 7 days ago.. finished them up yesterday.. I feel for you. After all tests came back negative, the sore throat and swollen submandibular lymph nodes have lasted for almost 1.5 years. After multiple doctors visits, I have been diagnosed with LPR. The ENT put me on Nexium ??mg twice per day. I have been taking the Nexium for about a month now. I have a couple of questions. Are swollen submandibular lymph nodes a common symptom of LPR? I have only seen in one place where someone says swollen lymph nodes are a symptom of LPR.

Thanks. I have tried to control GERD with omeprazole everyday. Perhaps I have less acid reflux now, but gosh just acid reflux is controlled not the whole reflux thing. Non-acid reflux might be causing this too, possible?
