When i got out i was feeling alot better i had antibiotics, omeprazole, and loperamide for one week. After I finished my meds i went to a party and drank a lot of alchohol on a saturday night, monday came along and my stomach was still feeling fine, so i went to another party and drank alcohol. By wednesday morning my stomach was feeling really bad It was empty and i vomited green liquid. My stool suddenly changed light brown and my stomach hurts everytime i moved.
Prescription omeprazole comes as a delayed-release capsule, and packets of delayed-release (long-acting) granules for suspension (to be mixed with liquid) to take by mouth. Nonprescription (over-the-counter) omeprazole comes as a delayed-release capsule or tablet to take by mouth. The delayed-release capsules and the granules should be taken at least 1 hour before a meal. They are usually taken once a day before a meal but may be taken twice a day when used with other medications to eliminate H.
Sometimes I get feeling of a liquid in throat especially in the adams apple area.I get worried that will it block my throat all will it block my breathing or something bad would happen.I can feel the liquid around my teeth.I try to clear it again and again by drinking it.I feel as it is filled everywhere in mouth.This all thinking creates anxiety.Then I go to the toilet pass motion/stool/feces and after lay on bed and relax and after it takes time and gets normal on its own.
Not liquid, feels like a piece of food or something strange. When i swallow it goes away. I do have a few other silent reflux symptoms like clearing throat, dry cough and recently light sore or scratchy throat, but from what I've read the "lump" from silent reflux doesn't go away after swallowing. It does seem to get a little better after taking omeprazole 20, but it is still happening. I read a lot of people with a lump but mine isn't a lump. Any ideas?
when I eat or drink, it tastes faintly of soap. I tried changing my washing up liquid, and even not using it altogether, put it's persisting. At the same time I can taste blood at the back of my throat. My throat isn't sore or anything, but every now and then I sound very hoarse and croaky, but with no pain. I thought I might be imagining it, but even my faeces are dark with blood. I'm taking omeprazole at the moment for gastro-oesophagal reflux.
t have the usual symptoms (nausea, vomiting, weight loss). In fact I have no symptoms at all. I take Omeprazole for acid reflux/hiatal hernia, and I take Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I also take Zetia every other day for cholesterol. All of these are working well, but I hope they are not the cause of my Gastroparesis. I don't want to take anymore medications, especially the ones that are given for Gastroparesis. Since I don't have the usual symptoms, do I really need medication for it?

Tums, milk, maalox, my SIL swore by the liquid maalox, I haven't gotten it bad enough to take anything but tums yet, hope you feel better soon!
My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.
I went to my primary physician, he gave me omeprazole 40 mg morning 1 hour before breakfast per day. It had been 5 days since I took omeprazole. I am still having belching, bloating, indigestion, and very difficult swallowing. It feels like my throat is swelling and its hard to get food down. I really need help. Following a valve replacement and triple bypass I was discharged from Hospital with a number of drugs and a new one being Omeprazole. I did not know why it was prescribed but after a number of months taking it I decided after discussion with my Doctor to stop taking it. A few months later through the night I got this terrible chest pain on a scale of 1-10 I guess it was 7-8.
At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and have been taking omeprazole twice a day every day for a few months (I had been on Prevacid for several years before the omeprazole but insurance won't cover it any more). If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole.
is omeprazole a nercotic pain killer? i know some medications that may b addicting so i thought i would double check..also i had seen that u can take in an i.v is this true and if so how?

Hi, Do you think a different manufacturer, could possibly make a slightly diffrent product,or maybe a different coating ? that could change the makeup of Omeprazole, or any other product for that matter.
Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I am afraid it might harm the baby. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?
They did a EKG and it came back fine that was about 3 years ago. IT has happened every time I gave it to him either pill and now liquid. I know I have given him liquid in the past when he was little so why is this happening now. At first I thought it was the coating on the pill then today I gave him 2 TBS of Children's liquid Ibuprofen and it happened again. It usually takes about 2-3 hrs to go away. I would like to test Acetemenphin.
I am 21 weeks and have day in and day out the worst heartburn/acid indigestion ever. Nothing seems to be working and my doctor told me to take liquid mylanta or maylox. I went looking for both of them and couldn't find either. When I came home and googled them it seems that they have been taken off the market. Is there anything else that is safe to take....anything that will give me any relief at all???
Hi all. I am female and 28 years old, I have type 1 diabetes and I am on insulin. Mostly well controlled.
Last December, I started having weird stomach problems where I lost my appetite to the point where I had starvation ketones, and would feel very nauseous and ill after eating the most basic foods. (Bananas and bread). I would start shaking and need to lay down.
It all started about 5 months ago when i went to my local doctors complaining of a burning throat and tasting acid, i was prescribed Omeprazole which i am still taking to this day..
