Avatar f tn I have been trying to find something to help my dry eyes. My Opthimal rubs a paper across my eyes which turns green. Her recommended medicine is Baush & Loom Soomth EP eye drops. Everytime I use them the next day the inside of my eyelids feel gritty like sandpaper. It is very uncomfortable. Retasis does the same thing. The Dr. tells me my dryness is between 3 and 4. Ocassionally my left eye swells and is painful. On thoses days I want to patch my eye to keep the light out.
Avatar f tn Mine has gotten much worse. My nasal passages are so irritated and my eyes are so itchy it makes me crazy. I haven't found relief.
Avatar n tn Ok so for over a year now i have had a build up of fluid or lymph next to my eyes around the ethmoid sinuses. It started one morning when i woke up and had what looked like a cyst of fluid next to one eye. I put clearasil on it and it slowly reduced the size of it but never totally went away. I kept putting clearasil on it and tried to ignore it as much as possible. I went to South America for 2 weeks and when i came back the fluid had totally drained out (Didn't lift weights there).
Avatar n tn has me taking Nasonex nasal spray, Advair inhaler, and Singulair. Those meds seemed to help my breathing but I have noticed that my neck glands become kind of swollen from time to time. Like 2-4 times a month. Just swollen and achy but not a sore throat when swallowing. Also, the lymph node that is right at the base behind my ear that connects to my neck swells up from time to time and feels like a little squishy, moveable pea. Usually my nose and eyes ache/burn when all of this happens too.
Avatar n tn Can one experience "late-phase" allergy symptoms like malaise, fatigue, headaches, Eustachian tube dysfunction etc. without EVER experiencing "early-phase" symptoms like runny nose, itchy eyes etc. ? I do occasionally have a scratchy throat, but this is very seldom. I have been experiencing these "late-phase" symptoms for several months now, and was recently diagnosed (via skin ***** test) with allergic rhinitis to dust mites and pollen.
Avatar n tn Hi All, I have been suffering headaches, scratchy throat, malaise, vertigo and eustachian tube dysfunction for the past 4 months, ever since getting over a bout of Otitis Media. After several rounds of antibiotics and 8 weeks on Veramyst, my symptoms haven't improved. I finally went to an allergist yesterday, and had a postive skin-test for dust mite.

Avatar f tn It started early December, I was prescribed Nasonex for my allergies. I didn't think much of it because I used Flonase before with no issues but I wanted to see if this would be more effective. After about a week of usage I started feeling "off". Every day it got worse and worse.

531684 tn?1216745984 t even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex! Well, my nose bleeds started with nasonex, the first time around was in the '90's, and no one seemed to know then that the nose bleeds were a side effect, although I kept having them and realized then that they occurred after using nasonex. Later, around 2007, I was told by a doctor, that it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it again, that it was actually a good drug.
Avatar f tn (i.e. itchy eyes, skin, scalp, palms, rashes, hives, headaches, nausea, dizziness, sore throat, dry throat, unquenching thirst, cramps, diarrhea, dry sinus and possible sinusitus. I am supposed start up on my allergy shots, again, but I was advised that I need to start all over again since I stopped going in in Dec/08. 1253246 tn?1332073310 Oh, and about the itchy eyes, I used OTC 'Refresh", which the pharma said was better for some reason than the OTC product my mom always used. Also, she recommended sunglasses and although I can't tell you why this would help, I think they did.

Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
1393709 tn?1280178870 Don't use Afrin for more than 3 days. Otherwise you'll get a rebound effect, and it makes your nose congested all the time, despite becoming an Afrin junkie. I'd recommend going to an allergist. In the meantime, sudofed works the best without making you groggy, in case you wish to operate heavy machinery. Next best is nasonex, which works differently.
Avatar m tn I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Live in notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age.
645800 tn?1466860955 Never had itchy eyes, but I do know that any perceived sensation from the eyeball is actually coming from the surrounding eyelid. I used to have a cold spot in my right eye, at the tear duct.
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
