Common Questions and Answers about Nasonex in my eye

nasonex

29837 tn?1414534648 My allergist gave me a sample of Nasonex, which I used for about a week. Unfortunately, it did not help my symptoms and I had frequent nosebleeds. Maybe try the spray for another couple of days?
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn my son had some reacurring headaches(not very strong but pretty often)the doctor put him on nasonex.that seemed to help but he then got a scalp fungus(they gave me ketoconazole cream) but he still has this.he then started to get cankersores in his mouth for about a month(this finally went away but about a week later he had a fever of 102 for about a day. the doctor said just to give him advil.he now has a rash, just small red bumps on his body but not anywhere on his face.
Avatar n tn He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on. Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.
Avatar f tn Ocassionally my left eye swells and is painful. On thoses days I want to patch my eye to keep the light out. Is there anything else I can do to help with the dryness. She suggested Nasonex, which opens my sinus up and I feel like I'm drowing which they do without the medicine. Please advise. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar f tn My prescription did go up (quite a bit from only last year of getting my eyes checked) and one eye is now slightly worse than the other (both eyes use to be the same). My eye pressure is normal (10 in one eye, 12 in the other). I done a visual field test which came back okay except for one spot, however the doctor said it was just a mole within my eye and nothing to worry about (probably could have had that my whole life), and she dilated my eyes. Everything came back good.
Avatar n tn I noticed that at first my ringing was real low but then all of the sudden as soon I took the nasonex my ear ringing got a lot louder out nowhere and it also kind of started in the other a little bit then that went away. But my right ear kept buzzing loud for a couple of hours but then later that night around 1am in the morning I noticed that I didn't hear any ringing at all.
1240706 tn?1331602111 My doctor has me on Nasonex spray (1 spray, 1ce per day), Singulair (10 mg once per day), and Cromolyn Sodium eye drops (4%, 4 times a day). I have had bad allergy symptoms for around 15 years. I have a runny nose all the time, but the worst is the chronic eye irritation. They burn constantly. It makes me feel exhausted and really inhibits my ability to function at full capacity every day. I feel like my doctor just isn't taking me very seriously.
538745 tn?1213755988 Nope no congested nose or sinus problems at all.. I had this problem for about 4 weeks now ..and the GP I'm seeing here put me on Nasonex he said could be in my sinus since he look into my ears and they were clean. I'm 53 years old .no ringing . but hear people talk again like a echo..plus the sound of putting a sea shell up to my hear..I learn to put the tv on really loud .than doesn't bug me as much..
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
538745 tn?1213755988 I been having this noise in my ear..sounds like I'm holding a shell up to my ear and the ocean is there ..Plus I get echos or hear twice noise when people talking or the tv..the higher the pitch the louder it is in my left ear..I went to doc here and was told my ear was clean not red no wax etc..so he said doesn't know what it is for now..having me take nasonex a day for two week..no cold here not even a sinus headache..
Avatar f tn think I must be going crazy. After having throat/ear issues for over a month, I went to the doctor 10 days ago. He said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and there was inflammation. He also said that my right ear drum looked really dull. He thinks my issues are being caused by a sinus infection. I've been taking Nasonex and antibiotics for 11 days and am still having problems. Here is where I think it gets weird. My ear bothers me when I go outside even for just a few minutes.
Avatar n tn I just want to find something i can take that will remove that lymph or fluid and reduce the swelling of my nasal bridge. Perhaps my weightlifting has damaged my capillaries in that area and they now leak more fluid then they should. If anyone can offer any piece of advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Ever since I got my wisdom teeth taken out over a year ago, I've been getting a strange taste/smell in my throat and nose. It's not constant, but after I've had a bit of a cold or something it gets worse. It's mostly in my nose currently, and whenever I sniff I can smell it. I went to the doctor once and they prescribed a nasal spray (nasonex I believe). It helped but didn't make it go away completely.
Avatar n tn I'm a fellow allergy sufferer. Have you had any allergy tests done? Perhaps it is something in the air of your home that no one can totally escape from--dustmites. That is my top allergy. Everything that the doctor already suggested does help, but I still have to use allergy medicine. I use Benadryl and Nasonex. Nasonex, because it is fragrance-free.
Avatar f tn it is very annoying and interupps my sleep ...so that is why i had feel in love with using the afren, afren knowing i could have a reboud...Now i am weaning off of it but what in the world am i going to do now,,i have tried everything else and nothing works for me...Please review this information and see if u can help me figure out why this is going on...i realize people can develope allergies as they get older...but this is the only syptom i have nasul stuffyness...
Avatar f tn This looked liked straight lines and was followed by ringing in my ears. The aura went away---but the ringing remained, I went to my regular dr. and got blood work done--he checked my ears and said it was probably due to sinus issues and prescribed nasonex. I used to nasonex for about a week--ears still ringing so I stopped using it. Blood work came back fine. and I made an appt for a recheck for two weeks from now,. Meanwhile my period has been very irregular and I got it twice in one month.
Avatar m tn I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Live in notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age.
Avatar n tn he said my eyes were totally normal and said it could be an allergic reaction to something my eye was coming in contact with overnight like dust mites in my pillow. SO i bought a new pillow, change my pillow cases every night, wash my hair every night b/f going to bed just incase there was pollen in it, changed all my eye makeup, face wash, EVERYTHING! And it has still happened perioically over the last 3 months!! I'm going crazy trying to figure out what it is?
Avatar f tn My main concern is the phlegm/mucous in my throat. I take nasonex and prilosec (for suspected GERD) but nothing seems to help. ANy suggestions on what this could be or what I can do?
Avatar f tn I've had a cold brought on from allergies for over a week. It caused fluid to build up in my left ear and is making it very hard to hear. I've been given lots of sample allergy pills and told to get Mucinex to help remove the fluid but neither has worked. Then I was given a prescription for an antibiotic which has not worked. I've tried all the home remedies to remove the fluid....ear drops, hair dryer blown at ear, heat pack on ear, popping my ears (which I tried and failed to do).
1393709 tn?1280178870 Don't use Afrin for more than 3 days. Otherwise you'll get a rebound effect, and it makes your nose congested all the time, despite becoming an Afrin junkie. I'd recommend going to an allergist. In the meantime, sudofed works the best without making you groggy, in case you wish to operate heavy machinery. Next best is nasonex, which works differently.
Avatar n tn It feels like its going from the the back of my ears, across the back of the head and down by the skull in my neck. And sometimes I feel like it going down the neck area..I do have my pressure in the eyes and forehead but not as much as I thougth I would. The strange part about this is I very rarely have to blow my nose or feel that stuffed. I have been on Antibiotic now for 6 days. I have one more pill left. I think it is my sinuses but never experience the pressure in my head like this.
