After half an hour of standing and quivering the physical effects were felt and I managed to sit down and start playing a video game even though I needed to be studying, since that was the week before college finals and I'd been procrastinating the entire semester. Bad timing for bad news. I'd been passively suicidal for 10 years at that point (and was on various antidepressants almost all of that time).
Hi Everyone, What a relief to come across your posts. My 45 year old husband had a car accident in Nov, 07. He immediately began to experience headaches, to the point that he had to miss work (which he never does!). Despite my nagging that he go to the doctor (I thought he had whiplash), he attributed his pain to sinuses. At the beginning of Feb. 08, he had a thunderclap headache with Horner's Syndrome. I took him to the ER, where they proceeded to find - nothing.
I live in Thailand and my hopsital uses brand names and generic. I use the generic drugs that are imported from India ()...by the time they add the taxes (yes they have the nerve to tax cancer medicines) it comes out to 3 times the cost if you were to purchase it in India and hand carry it back yourself. My bill for my first cycle (no insurance) was approx 1,000 USD about same dosage.
Its not about loosing faith or even hope, its about acceptance that death is inevitable and where they have had limited or no choice in what has happened to them, they want to take back some level of control for the remainder of their life, even if that control is only in the how and when they will die.
I went to my GP complaning of no sense of smell, saw a surgeon and surgery was recomended, I was given a prescription for Prednisone, a steroid, this gave me some sense of smell, and here's the but, I had the operation and still could not smell, so more Prednisone, well the upshot is that the steroids have caused my Osteo-Necrosis, this is when the heads of the long bones die, so have now had core decompression on one hip and the other totally replaced. Oxycontin.
Hello, One of my family members was diagnosed of venal thrombosis and underwent a brain surgery to have a clot in his brain removed. He is now on ACITROM (2mg). (2 mg for a couple of months after which he will be switched to 1mg). I wanted to understand if he has to be cautious while using other drugs and what interaction Acitrom has with other drugs. He has been on Acitrom for a week now and has to use it for life.
Scientific studies have shown that one of the benefits of ingesting even small amounts of growth hormone is repair of damaged cells and limitation of the deterioration of cells associated with the aging process. The multitude of available IGF-1 binding proteins and related proteins available in the cell is indicative of the many potential effects that the binding of IGF-1 to its specific cell-surface receptor can have on cells.
Weeks of Washington state and he uses both LDN and IV lipoic acid, plus IV phosphatidylcholine, glutathione, human placenta extract, B complex, Folic acid, B12 and megadose vitamin C. He also has me on a bunch of oral supplements. One of the members of the yahoo group is a lady in her 70's who is a Berkson client who has had hep c for forty years named Susie Q. She continues to do well with no interferon treatments necessary. She has been going to Dr. Berkson for ten years I believe.
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
From what I read recently, some papers have explored the possible brain damages of IFN and their symptoms. Here are the names of the articles, I can't give direct link, you have to go on Medline site (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/) and writte the title in Search/for : 1. Raison CL et al. Interferon-alpha effects on diurnal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activity: relationship with proinflammatory cytokines and behavior.Mol Psychiatry. 2008 Jun 3 2. Majer M et al.
I hope this info helps you. Go ahead and take my muscle names with you. Google Trigger Point of the head and see if you can find a picture of the skull. I stop by a book store and look in the medical or alternative medicine area.
For the second IVF cycle I had already started having acupuncture and taking their herbs. After leaning of the poor quality of the eggs retrieved...I sat in bed and researched poor responders. I came across the information on DHEA. My RE knows Casson and spoke with him about his study. He is a believer in DHEA. I started 25mg 3x day and in six weeks was pregnant. We had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. Went back on DHEA.

s and Doctors, this will give you links to more holistic, alternative/complementary physicians...it will give you their directory of names. Oregon has a huge ND school and you will be able to find a great one out there, I should think. (I think I saw it mentioned you were in Oregon?) If not, where? I've been where you are..long ago. I finally found an endo who actually listened to me, and did other tests besides the "almighty" tsh.
if I start nizonide-500 after 5-6 weeks. yes of course it is better to have full vit d levels because ntz uses interferon pathways and interferon+vit d levels has increased svr on hcv if you have a chance to use simvastatin i'd start that too before ntz, also sim is able to increase interferon response because interferon acts same way as sim by lowering intracellular cholesterol levels, sim is less potent on intracellular cholesterol but better than nothing What about your latest d3 level?
it doesn't increase your chances of m/c. My friend took it and she is 20 weeks preg...her friend took it and is also 20 weeks preg. I also know another woman who took it and has a 7 year old. There are good stories out their don't worry.
The sweating has started again and also my movement is out of control. These things seem to be related to my thyroid replacement. I am so down that I haven't even called to have a copy of my records sent so I could post recent lab values. I did have a ferritin test and am awaiting the results. Here are some of the symptoms that are occurring: 1) Persistant low weight-95 pounds, 5'4". 2) Trouble with temperature regulation and then sweats/with chills.
i last posted on this thread in may....i have had a few years of this suffering and no end of examinations for the doctors to find nothing wrong...after a lot of investigations on the net by myself i found the info i needed and went to my doctor to ask if i have VAGINAL ATROPHY and she said yes...at last a diagnosis..she wanted me to go and have an investigation at the hospital and i said no way as ive been poked and prodded for months and i have had enough...
There are no other symptoms that I am aware of. I have had blood work and a biopsy done. Some of the things that I was tested for were; genital herpes, lichen sclerosus, lichen simplex chronicus, lichen planus, vulvar vestibulitis. All results came back negative. The biopsy tested positive for "healing ulcers". My doctor does not seem to know what the problem is and is contacting a specialist in Lebanon, NH. My Dr. prescribed an estrogen cream which did not seem to work.
"I think that she feels like the child has been punished enough with her disease" Wow, that is a pretty bold & arrogant assumption for you to make lady. Every child is very different, down syndrome or not. The problem comes from people like you who assume and uses words like, "violently attacks" & "assaults" to justify your lack of knowledge regarding children with special needs.
For example, yesterday I was at the computer store buying some stuff for my laptop, and i had boxes and boxes in my hands and i opened the door with my back and was leaving when the corner of the door caught on the cuff of my jeans and i almost tripped, but i caught my balance, i felt a surge of something (adrenaline?) go through my body and the same surge rushed feelings of anxiety and panic and increased heart rate and diff.breathing for a good 5-10 mins.
I was only out of work for 2 weeks and during that time was somewhat out and about. Symptoms of a new illness presented in March, starting with a canker sore, and progressing to flu like symptoms. I noticed greenish/brown mucus and tooth pain and went to doctor for an anti-biotic (I think Bactrim). I took the antibiotic which seemed to clear up what I thought was a sinus infection but I still wasn't feeling better and my glands were very swollen (they still are too a degree).
It is incredibly frustrating for all of us as we never know if he will have a complete obstruction and once again require lysis of adhesions and it seems to strike out of no where.
But when they are starting trials before publishing the previous trial's data, what the h**k is a person to do? I mean, do I paste up the names of all the trial drugs on the wall and throw darts at them?
In this case, temporal summation occurs. This basically means, the contraction builds and builds on top of each other sort of like a piggy-back effect causing an increase in contraction each time. Once, orgasm is reached, the muscles or neurons are no longer receiving this stimuli. However, there is so much free residual calcium still left in the muscle cells, they are still in a contractile state. Until, this free Calcium is taken back up, your muscle will not relax which can cause cramps.
(i) psycho-social stress, (ii) movement from place to place and (iii) my sense of identity and meaning; (d) aspects of day-to-day life and their wider socio-historical setting and (e) details on other aspects of my medical condition to help provide a wider context for this BPD in the last two years. 1.15.

I also saw there is a clinic in Germany called BCA but this clinic is far away from me and I don't think that my insurance would cover the costs for these tests and treatments and I cannot afford paying a lot of money without even knowing if I have it and if it will help. I also read that the antiobiotics which you have to take for years are very expensive. What kind of antibiotics do people get against Lyme? Doxycycline? I took this years ago for a few months against skin problems.
Has anyone here ever heard of someone having HCV for over forty years and still being only at the F1 stage of liver fibrosis? This is the story (I say "story" for lack of an adequate censor-passing epithet) that my hep MD has been feeding me for a year now. He says that from my medical history I probably got infected from contaminated blood when I had a motorcycle accident at the age of nineteen (I am now 65) and was transfused at the hospital that treated me for concussion.
I guess they didn't have a coh available, huh? Best of luck and I'm here for you if you have any questions. I've taken about 10 types of related medicines - so let me know if you need to know anything about other meds as well.
