So dr. was given her medicines (Pain killer, Panadol, Stop diarrhea, Activated Charcoal, Oral Rehydration Salt). Those medicines will harm to baby? Should my wife admit to hospital? Anyone can help? Please help....
Avatar n tn There are very few medicines that are considered 100% safe during pregnancy. I would really feel comfortable with anything that my OB prescribed for me, however. Who told you to stop and why? Do you still need it for morning sickness? It's used for the prophylaxis and treatment of nausea during pregnancy. i wouldn't worry about taking it.

Avatar f tn They initially thought it was acid reflux and tried a stirct diet along with a few different medicines - Nexium, 2 OTC Prilosecs, Omeprazole, and Dexilant. None of the medicines interrupted his usual pattern of vomiting and it doesn't seem to matter what he eats. Our current gastro has admitted that he can not come up with a diagnosis or an idea for another scan to try.

I don't think we have any good treatment in our state may be you have consult more doctors and ask for better therapies. I have become worse like stage phobia social phobia if somebody praise me during work and any course of action I feel nervous and puke.
Avatar f tn Remember, this is temporary. The pregnancy causes nausea and vomiting on its own and you are at the point in which that would typically start in a pregnancy. When you take the pills to induce abortion/termination, it throws those hormones a bit more out of whack. This can include nausea and vomiting. I'm so sorry about that. I would just do your best as you've already started the process. Keep hydrated and take it easy.

Avatar f tn Its just the start of a urinary tract infection so whatever antibiotics your doctor prescribed shouldn't be an issue since women during pregnancy are more susceptible to UTI's. I know there are some meds you shouldn't take for UTI's while pregnant but I doubt your doctor would prescribe that. If you are ever worried about taking a medicine in pregnancy you can go to rxlist.com and look it up.

Avatar f tn They have tested all of the upper and lower GI system they scoped, barium study, colonoscopy and stomach emptying also did head .ct everything is clear. I noticed that serotonin is part of the medicines for vomiting so was wondering if my serotonin levels could causing my problem. I do have fibromyalgia aslo elhers danlos syndrome and sevre osteoarthritis.

Avatar n tn Has anyone experienced debilitating migraines accompanied by vomiting? I'm 15 weeks. Up until 12 weeks I never got sick, just nauseous, which was easily remedied with Vernors. But I started getting terrible, almost unbearable migraines that would last 3-4 days with no relief. At 12 weeks I started vomiting every time I'd get one. I'm unable to keep food down for a good 24 hours when this happens.
