Try not to eat anything that will come in contact with this area so that you don't irritate it more. Rinse your mouth
2-3 times a day with hydrogen peroxide
(don't swallow), this will foam out anything that may still be, or get lodged in there, and rid it of any bacteria. Then be patient, as we all know mouth injuries take time to heal. But if at anytime it appears to be getting worse, you develop pain (other than soreness), swelling, or fever, see your dentist.
