The various causes of dental pain are tooth decay, gum disease, trauma or injury, dry socket or infection after
tooth extraction, impacted teeth, malocclusion, toothwear, sinusitis, neuralgia and a cracked tooth. Certain times you may experience referred pain. This is due to the trigeminal nerve which supplies branches to all teeth. a pain maybe felt in the upper jaw when the causative is a lower jaw tooth due to referred pain which occurs when decay is within a tooth.
