I recently was on MS Contin (long acting morphine) and my PCP allowed me to take Valium at HS with the MS Contin. Obviously Valium and Xanax are similar. She had me take it first in the day time a few times when my husband was home to see how it would affect me. I did not have a problem with the two medications.
So I think it is a probability that you can take them together but keep in mind that they both depress the respiratory system.
there has been so many peole n my area overdosing and dying bc they r mixing methadone and benzos togeather. plus they r also mixing methadone and other drugs , like heroin , pain killers, etc,. they keep taking more of the pills bc they r not feeling the effect of the pills bc of the methadone blocking them and then they overdose b4 they know it. its very dangerous and i also hope ur not doing this.
my mother just passed away and she was taking methadone valium and oxycodone plus many other heart meds such as nitro and others i can't remember how to spell let alone pronounce and i am on a war path for medical malpractice against her doctor he was prescribing all of the medications she was taking
t trusting her and she was right. It just seemed like too many meds and I looked it up on the internet and that was the wrong thing to do. I am a worrier so reading about Heath really bothered me. I know if we are under a doctors care and let them know what meds we are on everything should be fine, but it's cases like his that make me truly wonder.

I am soooooo scared to take what he has told me to take seeing all these horror storys online about mixing benzos and suboxone. Well if anyone can help me feel better or if they have had this experience also please post keep in mind I have never took any of these medications before other then the suboxone. My medications are suboxone 2mg four times a day,clonidine 0.1mg everynight at bedtime, zoloft 50mg every morning, tenex 1mg 3 times a day, and valium 10mg as needed for anxiety.
I used to be on 150 mg of Methadone a day but cut way down to just 30mg/day and it was so tough! Now I'm mixing just 10mg of Valium with the current Methadone. It that mixture safe?
1mg is roughly equivalent to 10mg of Valium (Diazepam). All drugs have unwanted effects as well as therapeutic ones and mixing drugs will almost always carry a possibility of interaction. However, if this interaction is rare, your prescriber has presumably decided that the benefits of you taking Klonopin outweigh the risks. Yet again, you need to discuss this with your doctor.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Benzodiazepines are contraindicated for use with Sub....unless like these posters...a doc has said it was okay.
Using them together cam cause serious respiratory depression.
Just be careful, please. My advice would be to find out from the doc what he could safely take.
been taking Adderall valium and oxycodone for 12 years all drug tests have shown compliance. now I got a false
neg and cant get medicine when I took them as prescribed. what could cause that? tried cbd oil but nothing else, the blood test said I didn't take the valium and adderal and a small amt of oxycodone. I took them all that am . why is it wrong?
hey hun, I'm sorry i just do not have knowledge of valium, i was opiates and klonopin and xanax. If it is anything like the benzo's i detoxed from it took me about 30 days or so, with that being said it did get a little bit better everyday. Hopefully someone will come around to help ya. Congratulations on 15 days keep it up.

I was in rehab....I checked myself in. I was taking 6 to 7 of the 30mg oxycodones per day (from pain management....I'm 'not addicted but dependent' according to the doc bc I took as prescribed. So I took them for only about 3 months. Two weeks ago I went to the ER with withdrawal symptoms, and a dr wrote a rx for suboxone with the pretense that I sign something saying I will go to his office in 3 days. (He only gave me 3 days worth of suboxone.
in the morning and the same in the evening and did this for about two months. I read about valium and realized i did not want to become addicted and stopped taking them daily two weeks ago. I went 4 or 5 days without any and then my heart started racing, i started to panic and took 2.m.g. then went a few days and felt ok but then had to go to court and was horribly nervous and took another 2 m.g. This was 4 days ago. Yesterday i took about 0.5 mg (half a m.g).
Can I also post a question about Tramadol, anti-deps and zopiclone? I saw this post and read it with great interest, as I am experiencing the terrible symptoms Doseduk mentioned, in regards to these combos. I have been on 3 anti-deps, Mirtazapine, Pamelor , Zoloft. I've posted on this a few times. My psych prescribed Zopiclone about 6 months ago. She faxes her report on me and what she's prescribing to my referring GP, so I thought my GP would know what meds my psych is prescribing.
